Why hasn't this been a thing? Awesome Concept!!!!
That sounds like an awesome fun time
The Mega Bug Gladiators were so cool. I remember having the dragonfly and the scorpion.
That shelf where Starsky and Hutch are right next to Frankenstein feels like it would have been the greatest episode of the show!
Really cool looking dealers room.
Loved the table with the various Spider-men.
Awesome
Great to meet you, sir -- you're a class act! Also, nice that you gave a long look of Vin's stuff -- I hadn't seen it before in person, and was truly astonished at his level of work. Looking forward to the next one.
Great to finally meet you in real life Brian.. somehow I missed the Saturday dinner unfortunately, maybe next time, Seth Buckley’s toyland was honored to be a part of MEGOMEET it was a total blast and can’t wait for the next one
Thanks for taking us along on to the convention! Really wanted to go but alas it didn't work out this year! Glad the Pod stallions and your vendor friends cheered you!😊
So much cool stuff 😎 thanks for showing 👍
Hope all’s well and your year improves! Always a fan of your content.
Good video buddy. Much respect.
Great show. Mego action figures were a big part of my elementary school yrs. From the Batman and Robin my brother and I received at a Xmas party to a threadbare Superman found on a beach in Minnesota, they were always a great time. Still got my VF on-card SHAZAM!
I can't wait to see your Lincoln monsters review. I'm excited about these. They look so good. Vampire bow tie is great.
Great video a lot vintage goodness
LOVE IT!!!! The picture at the 17:16 mark is priceless. I'm talking with Scott Brown as Kevin Fiore is driving past, with Paul Wasson talking to a customer while Frank Wojo is tending to his booth. It is a moment captured in time.
Great meeting you Brian. I hope everything works out for you in the coming year.
It was nice meeting you as well, things are already improving.
Megabug Gladiators were so cool. Although the spider and fly were a bit fragile. The scorpion survived for a while and fought with Perseus from Clash of the Titans as a stand-in for those big scorpions. 🙂
There needs to be a Mego Meet in Oregon. All the cool toy cons seem to happen to the east of us.
Whatever he is going through, I hope he can come back from it. This show looked absolutely amazing, and I saw so many toys that I never even knew existed via this video. Of course, seeing some of the prices makes me think I wouldn't have been spending much money there. Video tours like this is one one of the many reasons I tune into this channel regularly. Thanks for another great one Plaid Stallions!
I enjoyed meeting you if only for a moment to say thank you. Bonus for a free “exotic” Canadian candy from your dish! Zolocon was another great show filled with a wide variety of vendors. Besides purchasing your pin and rubber buddies figures, I picked up Oscar Goldman’s exploding briefcase for $5! It was incomplete and badly warped, but the graphics inside were good and it included both file folders and docs! Score!
Good stuff!
Wow, what a great venue for a toy fair. Legit could've spent the whole day looking at old school NASA stuff. Vendors had much nice stuff, tho...
Great vid! The walk around the dealer's room was fantastic! Love seeing White Elephant Toyz at 6:38 mark! I produced the vinyl decals for the Super Joe figures and rafts for Jason on this project. Great guy to work with!
awesomeness. my regret is that I didn't get to be there with you and the club
@@Bruehoyt you and Lily were missed. Trust me on that one. Next time!
It’s because of this I can hardly wait for the year to come around to Mego Meet again!!! Till next time Brother
So rad.
I’m still in a funk about not being able to make it this year.
Next time
I hope that everything works out with your personal stuff
Yeah, I had the Kid Acero Nocton, but not anymore. Also, I have mentioned this before, but those prices!!! Holy smokes! There is no way I can afford these toys anymore! sighhhh... I guess I'll just keep watching videos and drooling. 🙂
Just get the reissued ones at Walmart or Big Lots.
Thank you for covering this event, great music, too.
Mego Meet looks awesome. Brian, I seen your cameo appearance on two RUclips channels, Jason Dymond( at Mark Huckabone's booth) and Andy/ Amy-Dark Ride Dracula. Really cool🤘🏻
Great stuff man, glad to finally meet ya face to face, and "share stories", and such. Enjoying the back issues immensely. Keep up the good work and the good fight!
Thanks for another cool tour
That dracula reminds me of- Count Frightenstein. Lol
I am Canadian after all.
...great video, but wow am I liking the music you are using! what are they!? sooooooooo good
I wish I could do it all over again as a second person so I can enjoy all the things that I missed… I said it before two days is just not enough to absorb all of this. Goodness… Mark Huckabone And Mike Jiminez were absolutely fantastic this year. there are so much stuff. Everybody brought their A game. I went home with the feeling that I’m closer to all of you guys and I’ve definitely met some new amigos that I will be corresponding with in the future… I can’t wait for 2025 to see what it brings Brian.. I can promise you, you and Steve Moore we will be ready willing and able to do it all over again.
Sidenote: anybody who’s reading thisget the Lincoln monsters don’t think about it just get them. They are 100% the best quality factory made 8 inch figures out there. and I will standby that statement. “You mean better than what Mego corp is currently producing? Absolutely!!!” they are that good!!!
The Fuge really is a toyetic venue as you filmed it.
The Reb Brown Cap at 10:00 is amazing.
I wish I could come to Mego Meet, but it's so expensive to organise coming from the UK
Extra credit for the Alice Cooper “Monster Dog” intro snippet.
Hopefully one ☝️ day I’ll be able to get there…
Would love to meet you and talk toys and about those wonderful long gone days of being a kid growing up in the 70’s & 80’s!
There was so much stuff I would have bought and also drooled over 🤤 I have been looking for a Starsky & Hutch for a while now my originals just disappeared literally I don’t know what happened to them after having them for more then half my life 😔 I remember the day I got them I was playing on a jungle gym at a flea market/drive in movie theater back in the 70’s while my parents where doing there antique hunt stuff lol and my mom came to get me and in her hand was those beloved crime fighters that she found there for 50 cents each Hutch had a rip in his pants but the min we got home Mom sat down and sewed them right up for me and I remember just sitting there thinking 🤔about what my 1st adventure with these two was going to be while patiently waiting well as much as a 7yo could lol
329 also my favorite numbers month and day of my birth
@@sxhbk okay that's super cool
17:17 I like the layout. it looks more mego meety than Columbus last year. more organic looking.
@@Bruehoyt it was a circle I felt like a goldfish in more ways than one
😆 like goldfish in a bowl lol
Amazing stuff, as always. I do have a small suggestion though, Brian. Could you maybe put some links to the music you use in your videos in the description? It's always SO good, and sometimes I'd like to go listen to the entire song. Thanks, man!
💪😎
Those prices though. 🤣
I suspect seasoned collectors would be hardly surprised, but as a random bystander I'm baffled and amused at the fact that you can throw away your monthly salary or a few for a piece of hollow plastic, some of which are so old they are making their first baby steps toward decomposition.
Does Jon Coe creations not have a website? I noticed his name doesn't have a link in the description. I was interested in getting a better view of the Reb Brown Cap figure.
@@dannycruz5446 I can try and get in touch
Will they ever have one in Texas?
