A calm day would be nice. Haven't seen many of those of late, but you're right, it didn't help! And it keeps me for! 😄

Thanks Cliff. I'm hoping it'll be a bit easier to fly after my mods. And maybe a day with less wind. 😖

I'm sure it will fly well next time without the strong wind

Thanks mate. I built a Lidl with a 45mm but full size and left the dihedral in. It flew OK, but recently added a thrust tube . It increased the thrust but burnt out the esc! I thought about edf for this, but more weight, bigger lipo, so kept it simple. Prop on the front! I used to pour hot water on the dihedral bend and straighten it, but it tends to bend back again unless you add carbon. More weight. The last couple, I've done 12 or 13 now, I make a cut and hot glue. It works. That's what I did with this one. Build blog is coming soon. ruclips.net/video/3RDjYYHWqVA/видео.htmlsi=vkAEnXtwFWu4Hfgu

Sad to hear that your personal circumstances have fallen into such a state there that you can't afford a decent pair of Army Surplus boots, Private Flyman! 😟😈

Ha ha, can you lend me a pair of the old ones you used to go Waltzing Matilda in you cheeky bugger? 😅 Even with boots on the spikey stuff falls inside. I spent ages at home picking the stuff out of my socks. 😠

@@bobflyman LOL! Sounds like the native Spear Grass out here mate. Those damned seeds will corkscrew right into your hide! When it's seeding you generally do a pair of socks for each outing. As an old Forest Ranger friend of mine once described it - the only way to deal with them is to hang your socks on a barbed wire fence and water them. Then pull the seedlings out when they have sprouted sufficiently! 😱😜🤣🤣
Actually that's just reminded me of a tale my old neighbour (a great bush raconteur) used to tell. His eldest son did an Engineering Degree at Townsville in the old days. Boarded with a lady who rented rooms and board to several students and part of the contract was that they should take turns in keeping the wood chopped for the old slow combustion stove in the house.
If they forgot she didn't get mad though - just dropped their underpants in the Spear Grass come wash day! 😈😁

Hi Bob, can you advise the make of your head cam- every video always has excellent aerial footage.
      Thanks

I use an old 808 key chain camera. They were less than £20 £10 years ago. Small and light and great for sticking on an rc plane with a bit of velcro. £30 plus now unfortunately. 😳

@@bobflyman is this a head cam or body cam ? Is there a special lens required? as it appears you get the whole flight in and in focus. If you were going to replace it, what would you get? Product review idea!
Just fed up with very few vids of my flights.

Sorry I misunderstood your question. I use the little key chain cam on the aircraft. Filming from the ground I have an Hawkeye Firefly 8se action camera on a strap on my forehead. Most action cameras have a 170 deg wide lens, that would be rubbish for trying to film an RC plane. The Firefly is the has 90 deg lens version. I reviewed more than 50 cameras on my channel and was lucky enough to receive this for review. The video quality is good so when I edit I can zoom in a bit and you see the rc plane a bit closer. A friend of mine who has a good rc channel uses a Runcam on the peak of his baseball cap.
