  • After years of raising Cornish Cross broilers, we want to raise sustainable meat birds on the homestead. While we have no intention of giving up our broilers. we want a good dual-purpose bird on the homestead that provides quality meat that can be raised from egg to table. Join us as we butcher our very first American Bresse Chickens and find out if we think they are worth the hype.

WELCOME to our RUclips channel at Kowalski Mountain!
Philip dreamed of a place where he could build a self-sufficient life. A little piece of land where he could hunt, work the land, and build a home that he could be proud of. His dream began to become a reality when he purchased the first 40 acres of Kowalski Mountain in 2016.
I met Philip online in 2018. I grew up on a small, hobby farm. While I loved the outdoor lifestyle, I was stuck in my urban life far from my roots and the lifestyle I loved.
It's hard to deny that Philip and I were meant for each other. We make a great team! We seem to be able to accomplish more than the average couple in record time. Since our Kentucky dream is built in short workcations, our ability to get things done is a huge asset.
This is our journey, the victories, and the challenges.
We hope you'll subscribe & become a part of our RUclips family! 🔔 Hit the bell to never miss a video! Thank you so much for visiting!

Very interesting. The size comparison is striking, but it’s good to know you can raise your own birds too. Val C

Yes! The chicken was flavorful and tender. Just smaller. Could have been tough as nails! 😂
