Thanks for such a good review. I hear such good things about this mixer. The main thing that I do not like is the sound of the motor. It seems quite loud, even on the low speed. I live in a multi-unit building, and I'm pretty sure I might get a complaint about the sound if I were to run this for any length of time. But thanks, and I'm glad it works out so well for you.

And that cord storage...im pretty disappointed that storage hole isny a retractable cord storage. I loved the lid too! But all those bits and pieces was too much. Bosche could do so much better on the attachments imo

My nutrimill impact mill arrived this week and I haven’t unboxed it yet so I watched your unboxing. I appreciated the decibel level information too. I was surprised that it took so long to mill 3 cups of berries. 😕 mine will probably go in my craft room so I can close the door to the noise if need be.

I have learned if the berries are not moving turn the dial to a higher number. You can go back. But it’s not a huge difference in flour texture. Experiment with the settings.

I do use coconut oil but the nice thing about soap making is you can customize the oils. I’ve been changing up my recipes due to cost… oils are getting so expensive. I’ve been simplifying to lard or tallow, olive oil and coconut oil. Previously I used 6 different oils. I appreciate you watching.

Sounds like the motor brushes on your KitchenAid mixer need replacing. They are a wear item and are designed to be replaced. The first sign of bad motor brushes is loss of power while mixing and a slight burning smell along with sometimes a louder than normal electrical hum. Also, when ordering new brushes, be sure to order new gear grease as well. If it's never been done, you'll want to re-pack the gears with new grease. Be sure to remove as much as you can of the old grease first and clean out the outer silver grease catch ring. You'll need to get the gear grease made for KitchenAid mixers. It's food safe, whereas regular gear grease is not. I hope this helps.
