I’m always happy listening to you explaining things :) I’ve been using the Axoloti virtual modular with my drums in very similar ways. I’d like to get started with eurorack, but I’m afraid of the number of modules I’d need is rather expensive... Also my Nord drum teached me the power of mapping velocity to decay, it’s super effective!
velocity to decay is a pinnacle move! I love the tactility of modular but I like the workflow more, which you still get with software. It's reshaped how I look at non "modular" software instruments too
