Maan, I'm so happy. I'm a big fan of the way you think and play this game, completely differently than I ever have. I've been having trouble getting to and beating the heart on A20, but tonight, I finally got em with the Silent. Your patience and thoughtful explanations helped me immensely to make good decisions and pick the paths that eventually got me there. It feels so good, man, so thanks for what you do. 1 character down, 3 to go.
Hi, since I started watching your videos, I've gotten to A20 with Ironclad and just in general had a lot more fun with the game! Super glad I found you're channel bro
Cool to see Grand Finale be useful. It normally feels like once I can reliably set it up I can do whatever anyway but it was really nice damage against Heart on A20.
I could *maybe* see an argument against feed, since playing greedy for a little bit of extra front loaded block each fight can potentially not be worth it. Ironclad can find himself in situations where his block is mediocre and his face is needed to tank though, so saying it's generally overrated is a tough sell. Hand of greed being overrated I think is just wrong, especially in the context of a Silent run, since her starting deck's strongest damage is fucking strike, and her pool of cards that deal more than 20 is, what, glass knife+/grand finale/eviscerate? Even if it just did 20/25 damage I'd take it if it was offered to me. I've definitely bought act 1 hand of greeds that have carried me into act 2 where I would have otherwise died to hexaghost or something. I'd also say it can be good on the watcher as a fight ending nuke for 40/50, plus it should pay for some extra removals to make up for drafting it. Ironclad should at least do ok with it if you get some cheap support like anger/thunderclap/rage. It's not as act 1 winning for him as it is for Silent. Maybe the defect doesn't care for it as much as the other characters? Having only 4 strikes/defends makes it easy to justify drafting if you can get at least a few off. I often get at least all his strikes out of the deck in my winning runs. Having one dead card in late act 3/act 4 is par for the course anyway. You got to avoid dying in act 1/2, which hand of greed often helps with if you get it somewhat early.
Question at about 29:30 you mention that you would like to hand of greed to kill but that you won’t be able to with energy which I follow. But if I recall if you discard a hand to end turn then draw your 5 you won’t draw any of the cards you discarded correct? Wouldn’t it have made sense to discard hand of greed with survivor there to give yourself that chance or did I miss something?
That's not right. When you click end turn, your hand is discarded, and then you draw your next hand. If there aren't enough cards in the draw pile, you shuffle the discard pile into the draw pile and continue drawing. So at 29:30, he ended turn with nothing in the draw pile, so the entire discard pile (including the just-discarded hand) was in it available to be drawn.
i just lost an amazing run .. still was running a little low on health 2 floors before bosses and i ran into writhing mass .. bottled bullet time and i had 3 unplayable cards .. 2 tactician and 1 reflex .. i had 36 health and it was attacking me for 18 .. and i attack it and it hits me for 38 ...... you really could mention "if you are fine with the current attack - dont attack it anymore" .. that would help .. kthxbai

I'm exactly on the same spot as you, did with Ironclad and felt super good. Not sure I'll have the patience to do it with all 4 characters tho

43:54 I'll never forget when you called that double grand finale upgrade either. My jaw literally dropped

Interesting take on HoG and Feed being essentially overrated. I'd like to hear more on that as they're both S Tier cards for me.
Feed is bad. Max health is poop
@@hssal2 max health is basically block

@@hssal2 feed at least hits decently hard and exhausts itself in fights where you don't need it
HoG is better than apotheosis floor 1 considering you could get one of the eggs in your run.

Tu thump tu thump is this… the heart of the spire? And the source of all this…Grand card draw and gold thumpening
Does baalorlord ever do custom characters like the servant? I saw the hermit but never her.
I would check the Twitch channel. The RUclips uploads are months behind real time.

He has, multiple times even. Also, making mistakes and learning from them is core to the game. KTHXBAI
He mentions not to attack the spaghetti monster when you can handle the damage basically every time he ever fights it.
Yes i know he says that all the time .. but it took me losing a great run until i believed him is my point :/
