Why did you both choose Rockwool over Polystyrene for foundation insulation? Airflow to aid with Radon mitigation? Doesn't it cost more?

I used polystyrene (EPS, aka Styrofoam) in our TinyLab’s floor cavity, and have been listening to ants eating it for years. Not a huge fan as a result.
