I think Honda will have another winner here. This looks great for new riders and for experienced riders looking for something more manageable but not sacrificing too much useable speed and power, not all of us oldies want to chug around on a 350 Royal Enfield😂😂😂
Agreed. I passed my test in the early eighties and never had any interest in old British ( or lookalike ) bikes. Jap bikes are king for me, I’ve got a CB500X and it is brilliant.
Took delivery of a new NX500 a couple of weeks ago and so far I’m loving it. The engine is very tractable with enough power for real world riding. The clutch is very light and the gearbox super slick. I’m 5’11 and the screen is ideal, I get no helmet buffeting at all. The bikes physically big enough whilst also being light and agile and the brakes and suspension work well. As a bonus I’m getting 80mpg. There are a couple of areas where it could be improved - first and second gears are too low for instance and the seat tends to push you forward a little towards the tank, but apart from that it’s a great package. It’ll be interesting to see if you agree so I’m looking forward to your full review.
Having owned a cb500x, and ridden the Himalayan 450.... IMHO the two bikes are not comparable in any way. Personally Never liked the x and now have an f. Rode the Himalayan 450 last weekend, and after the test ride I cancelled my order for one and got my deposit back. Search for second bike goes on!
First impression: a useless front mudguard, and as always, when it doesn't say Royal Enfield on the tank, chain drive but no centerstand. Not good enough, Honda. I own a Honda NC750X, and I bought a mudguard extender and a centerstand for it before I even received the bike. We shouldn't have to do that.
I think this is a winner. Nothing wrong with the previous CB500X but a nicer dash I’d most welcome and I quite like the styling changes. The price didn’t increase either, which is a blessing. I’m sure they’ll sell bucketloads.
I just did a test ride on one and it's so buzzy... It goes "bzzzzzzz" all the time. If this does not count as vibrations then sure it's vibration-free up to 5000 rpm. I was really tired of the moto after the ride. Not going to buy it. And also new CB 500x is off the list of candidates - the same engine and 'bzzzzzz" feature...
Thanks a lot Mark, really looking forward to watching your review of the bike. Any chance you could test it with a pillion? Comfort Touring with the missus is an important feature! How does the engine works with a pillion, top case and side panniers? Thanks a million mate and greetings from Colombia
Hi Mark. I would be most interested when you do your full review for a comparison between this and the NC750X as I suspect plenty of people will be torn between the two.
Great bike but would be better if it had a few things "a little more". QuickShifter as option (for safety in city), 500cc engine (I'm waiting for the guy who will say "but it has a 500cc engine"), a slightly higher seat, a slightly higher window, a slightly higher handlebar (off road). If you are over 180 cm tall, this motorcycle is uncomfortable outside the city.
I use the CB500X mainly for the road. About 50K per year. The design of the CB500X meets exactly my needs, compared to the design of the NX, which leans more towards adventure (all fairings with the headlight unit look too high). And it's less suitable for me.
G'day Mark, Honda have always had one of the best R&D departments in the world of Motorcycle manufacturing with very few bad designed bike and this has made then a leader in this field, this bike your reviewing is just another fine example, interesting too see the road test, cheers mate ride safe, Neil 🤠.
Hi Mark! I would be very interested in a comparison between the Honda NX 500 and the RE Himalayan 450. I know that the Himalayan is the better motorcycle for off-road, if you are also a good off-road rider. In this respect, I would rather be interested in the differences on the road between these two bikes. Thanks for the video. Ciao!
I'm still rocking my Honda VFR800X Crossrunner and nothing will make me change from it in the Honda current lineup... These current bikes feel so cheap.

just £700 more than the Himalayan now. I think I would choose the Honda.
Yes i really like the new himalayan ...but this is more my style :)
Yo so true!! This is such a great deal, I do like the style of the Royal Enfield tho!

I took one out and just couldn't. Get on with it .lovely bike to look at but not for me.I ordered the new Himalayan instead.
@@jimmyjam8795What didn’t you like about the 450 Himalayan if you don’t mind me asking?
Totally agree... Honda are quality!, BUT, Me being a Yorkshire man i think i would go for the Voge DS525X if i were after an adventure bike..

These adventure bikes are so ugly
😂😂
Looks good, Mark! Thanks for the overview.
Looks like a cracking bike for its money and Honda certainly know how to build a fantastic 500 engine.
This looks like a nice machine Mark, I'm looking forward to the full review 👍
Thanks Dennis me too 😁
Very good-looking bike for its type. Heavy for a 471cc. I prefer naked bikes.
Do you ever test BMWs, Mark. I'd love to hear your views on the CE 02.
I have reviewed a few BMW's now and again.....I'll look into the ce02
Cheers mark
So 7 grand with a centre stand and half a front mudguard.

Hi Juan yes I'll definitely be taking a pillion on this and I'll report in the review
Many thanks mark
What a great looking bike 👍
Looks nice Mark, let us know if its worth getting over a good second hand cb500x
Such a drab looking machine BUT! The Honda will last forever.
Honda stop with all the ugly flat black paint and hideous black plastic!
Nice review,enjoyed it
Truly a real nice bike .did a good job .they did want one I do ..looks are good to
Sorry but looks very cheap to me. There are so many 1-2 yr old bikes for less than these
80mpg, 250 range sounds great.
Hi Mark. I would be most interested when you do your full review for a comparison between this and the NC750X as I suspect plenty of people will be torn between the two.
Thanks Julian...yes first impressions are that they have done a great job on it...very comfortable....steers and handles very well
Cheers mark
What u want to compare? This is completly different motorcycle.
@@podunkman2709 I don't agree. I suspect many people looking for a versatile 'do-it-all' machine could justifiably buy either bike.
Great looking bike 😍 love the tall screen, this engine is a brilliant confidence builder 🎉, fab first thoughts Mark ❤x
Thanks Martine.... looking forward to getting some miles on it x
Mark likes his bikes how he likes his women............big frontal areas!
Definitely bigger the better lol

Not for shorties
Looks a good package my 1200gs has gone so might take a look at one of these

Thanks ...will do....there is quite a lot of difference between the two
Best wishes mark
Reviews on the CB500x said that it got buzzy at higher RPMs. Was that your experience with the NX?
So far absolutely fine ... No worse if not slightly better than any other 180 crank parallel twin
Great bike 😄
Maybe we'll get it here in 5 years 😒.
Waiting for full review, interested in comparison with vige ds525x. Thx!
Thanks yes that's the one I'll be comparing it with :)
is this basically the Cb500x with a name change? what is different?
Hi yes it's a cb500x but with a completely different front fairing light tft dash etc
Cheers mark
Doesn’t look too bad.
I'm still rocking my Honda VFR800X Crossrunner and nothing will make me change from it in the Honda current lineup... These current bikes feel so cheap.
Whats the cutout to the left of the lcd? For some upgrade?
It's for the fog light button if you upgrade
plz review the new CFmoto 450mt
Yes definitely......due in the UK in a few weeks:)
What a beauty, great video, thanks Mark 😁👍🏴
It needs to be DCT.
😂 DCT consumes power, takes space, weights.
Hi Mark looks very good. Looking forward to your full review.
