Hey bro. Not sure if you’re going to see this but I’m leaving for bootcamp and 20 sum days and my contract is for 0600 communications active duty. I’m honestly just trying to figure out what’s the best thing for because I don’t want to lose my freedom for 4 years and not being able to do anything because I’m active. Been thinking to switching to a reserve contract. How does having a reserve contract help you in the real world?
Active duty is just like normal life. Yeah somethings change but it’s not that much different. I would talk to your recruiter and try to see what the daily life of your mos. I work 8-9 hrs a day and I get weekends off. It’s like normal everyday and after a while it just becomes routine. Plus 4 years will go by quick before you even know it.
