You can tighten the trem arm by turning it clockwise.The hex screw is just for locking it....

Do you have to pay for duty when you order for the guitar ?
Yes. I ordered 3 guitars with a couple accessories at the same time, which were divided into 2 boxes, and I got charged $36 per box for duty.
