Phil says this very thing. It has a marketing term: "loss leader." Several big box retailers sell popular products at a loss to sell you more profitable items down the line.
If Thomann says they’re Celestion, they are Celestion. Can’t say enough good things about Thomann. You should go there Phil, you would love the Bavarian country side
Well Bavarian? It's not in the south but in the north ofGermany, and for the production you proberbly should wend to China! But honnestly who cares? As long they're are keeping their lowpriced quality goods (i bought a HB D- 120CENT www.thomann.de/nl/harley_benton_d_120ce_nt.htm) because i didn't believe the all so possitive reviews, only too come to the conclusion that its overall real!!
I had the horizontal one. Changed the jacks almost immediately. They seemed really cheap and I didn't want to let the powered signal from amp burn through them. Also reinforced the whole cab because it seemed little "floppy" sometimes. After these mods it was really amazing for the price. I'm from Czech Republic so the price was even more ridiculous - somewhere around 200$ (with the delivery) back when I bought it
Surreal. Here in Germany we've known Harley Benton since the late 1990s as Thomann's cheap housebrand, now it's twenty years later and even America is buying HB's stuff.
Actually the brand's origins are even older. Way before Thomann started selling Harley Bentons (and way before the internet-age), there was another huge German retailer, who had a housebrand called "Jim Harley". After that seller had gone bankrupt in the mid 90's, Thomann bought up what was left of him and renamed the brand "Harley Benton".
It also applies to their Harley Benton guitars. They used to be bad, but now the quality and quality control have much higher standards than what they used to be. I own a HB TE-52 tele. It’s way better than my Fender mim standard tele in every way. And goddamn, it under $150 new. And yeah, it’s all about having no middle men. I cannot believe how good their stuff is these days.

It is very good and the 4x12 one was my main Cab for nearly 8 Years. But now i have an Engl 4x12 and it sounds a lot better. It is a lot punchier and not so fizzy. But for the price it is amazing!
Cole Bowman you can take my word for it and watch the tons of RUclips reviews on it. Obviously, the only way to know if a piece of gear will work for you is to try yourself. But having such a good reputation and word of mouth does wonders.
@@garycrant4511 I'm not trying to argue with you Gary. It's not important enough. I don't trust companies and I don't buy suspicious products. There's nothing wrong with the question I asked. I want to know how he knows. If he doesn't know, that's fine. I don't care. And if I miss something because of that, it doesn't matter and it's not the end of the world.
I bought a pj bass from them last year and since then I've bought that cab, a Les Paul copy, prs copy, tele copy, and looking into their 800w bass head. I can't believe how good their products are!!!
I'm seriously thinking about getting a 4×12 for my old JCM900 head thats sitting without a cabinet. I'm very impressed by what I hear. When you've played a long time, you recognize certain tones. And I hear nothing but "goodness" coming out of yours. Even on video. Great review!😊👍
Jonathan Benway I’ve owned super reverbs, twins, Jcm’s, vox, etc. I plugged in the micro terror in to the cab and holy shit! The muddiness went away and amazing warm crunch tone! My favorite new rig!
What a great time to be a guitar player!! I started in the '70s when music equipment may have been at its most expensive era when adjusted for inflation and compared against average income. Things are so much cheaper these days it's just CRAZY! These brands also REALLY shine a light on products such as those from Fender's Custom Shop - of which I own two. I love both my CS Telecasters, but at 5x the price of my Fernandes teles they really only are marginally better and certainly they don't produce better MUSIC! And I'm thinking these HB guitars might be similar to the Fernandes, especially the later ones.
I have the 1x12 cab (now with a G12H30) and I’m so happy with it. Fun analysis, which sounds rather spot on and one that seems to work: here in Sweden Harley Benton cabs are EVERYWHERE, because for what you get it’s just so much. I see people use the cheap price of them by getting the V30 and changing speakers and then selling the V30 used.
Yes it is real. I have been in the loudspeaker design industry and the wholesale price of a speaker driver like the Celestron Vintage 30 is 15 dollars.
I got one of these awhile ago as a recommendation from spectre studios. I spoke with a guy who did world tours and he said it was the best 212 cab he'd ever heard. I dig the tone!
Phil you are the only RUclipsr I know that is not afraid to speak honestly about RUclips darling brands like HB and Chapman. Your thumbs up was good enough for me and I picked up a couple of these and they indeed are amazing. Thanks for always keeping it real!!!!
Hey Phil, I have the side by side version of that cab, I've pulled the back panel, and yes, it is definitely plywood. The tolex is very lacking on these, and like you said, easy to scratch or damage, but for the price, they are impossible to beat. I keep my Fender Supersonic 22 head sitting on top, but have been known to plug my Blues Jr. into it as well. I haven't tested for high volume (vibration) but I've had mine for 3 years now, with no worries. One note about Thomann: If you buy multiple items, they only charge you shipping once. I bought mine with a Harley Benton Vintage J bass, and they only charged $34 total shipping to the US. I probably need to do a video on both of them, as they both are tremendous values.
I can vouch for the one without the 30's. I bought one for smaller gigs and it sounds great. I wanted something different since my 4x12 cab has 30's. Totally worth it.
Hey Phillip, just checking in to say I bought the horizontal 2x12 after this stellar review and I am in love!! Man for the price I cannot believe the quality of this. I have a 1968 Fender Bassman running through it and that break up point on the head unit is killer on this thing.
Thanks for all your knowledge and interest in sharing the "inside" industry secrets most of us dont kno about. Might be a perfect fit for my SMARVO 110(Randall) 1x12combo
I was gonna buy a Celestion speaker to fit to my amp. Thst was until i found out about these Harley benton 1x12 cab for less money than what the speaker alone was gonna cost me. Had it for over a year and its a great buy ☺
I work retail (GC) and it’s nice to see a company make less per unit, with the thought being that they’ll move more, rather than selling less product, but covering more ground with each sale. Plus, as you said, they’re shining a big spotlight on the brand, which in today’s market is no small feat. Very well thought out and executed plan 👏👏👏. Thanks for sharing this Phil. -Aaron
I love that you check out these odd finds. For me personally (I plan on getting one now), the skin will come off! Bare wood, and speakers. I think it would really pop out in my studio with maybe an Orange head. Thanks for posting.
I'm rebuilding my set up, and had settled on buying speakers separate and building a vert 212 from ply salvaged from my job site. (I used to have a Mesa vert 212 with the metal grill) Plus, I used to live in Seattle, now I'm on Maui. Shipping is tough. I heard about this company, sent them an email asking if the shipping would still be as cheap, and they said yes. I was pretty much sold on it, but now I'm all in. Your logic works... brand recognition. Get em while their cheap!
I've been looking at this and you put me over the top. Like you say, the speakers cost about what the whole thing goes for. Worst case scenario I can build my own cab or recover/grill theirs. Even if it gets beat to hell on the way here, if the speakers are ok I'm not really out anything.
Phillip...so weird! The cab looks like a 4x12 setting way back in your room and then your hand reaches...INCHES and touches it. What a mind trip, lol! It took a while to get use to this style cab. Love what you do. Thanks
I've owned a Vintage 30 loaded "g412a vintage" and have a lot of trouble imagining that. Compared to my V30 loaded Engl Pro, it sounded like shit. Even close mic'd, there was a big difference.
I have the HB cab, the mesa recto and an evh and what I Can Say is that this cab IS only good considering the price of it... If you plug an high gain amp with low end frequencies it will sucks... When I pluged my mesa head in it, it was impossible to dial a good tone and when I purchased the mesa recto 2x12 it was night and day! I would Say this is not a Bad cab for soft stuff but really not for metal. You will think it IS as good as other but when you try a high end cabinet you absolutely know why they are expensive
@@1972LittleC Why so much attitude? I was offering another perspective for potential buyers. I did read what he says, it says "almost sounds as good as". That could also mean mic'd. And I'm saying it's not as good. I use an SM57 like most, I also have a Heil PR20 mic specifically for guitars and I've got 3 different preamps. Do us all a favor and take your snarky attitude elsewhere please...
I bought one last August. In my case it came broken. Now i wasnt sure who was responsible for it.. Although i would not be shocked it was the USPS. That said i opened it all up and saw the plywood was cheap and the cabinet was put together with very thin staples. That said i recently moved to a house with a nice garage. i took it apart had to fix a crack in the wood and put it back together using screws and i added some casters while i was at it. I can confirm they are vintage 30s due to this. Also that all said even broken this thing sounds amazing. I used it with 3 amps a three channel mesa boogie and compared it to my mesa 4x12 cab. A 6505mh and the prs mt15. I use it primarily with the latter and it's such a perfect pairing. So even with the issue I would still recommend it. You arent going to get anything this good at this price.
I have both cabs, the V30 and the regular one, both horizontal. I like both. I bought the G212 with the idea in mind that it is much cheaper than an unloaded cab and I can load it with whatever I want. It's not as pristine in the highs as the G212V, and not as tight in the lows, but for $180 shipping included I won't complain at all.
I picked up one 2nd hand for £50, was sure that when I popped it open it would have the speaks swapped with something cheaper, but nope, still had the V30's in. Was also suprised how well made the cab was made for its price. Best eBay find to date!
Got a Harley Benton 2x12 with V30s shipped to Australia about 7 years ago... even with the shipping cost, it was still the best deal on a quality cab I could get, even against the used market. Fantastic value, solid build quality and sounds great... I have run a Bugera 333XL, Marshall DSL5 and Orange Micro Dark through it - great clarity, no fizziness when cranking the gain, nice chunky low-end for rhythm too.
It really is an awesome cabinet:) I've got one paired with an Orange cr120 head and it sounds killer. My buddy liked the cab so much he bought one to replace his aging halfstack. Now the other guitarist in my band is talking about getting one! Can't say anything negative about it and the size and weight is perfect. Big enough for huge sound but small enough to lug around with out to much hassle.
@@reficul1984 Its an amazing guitar! 21 fret satin maple neck- 2 single coils with 3- barrel bridge-Mother of pearl scratch plate and beautiful see-thru vintage blonde finish. This guitar is WAY beyond a $93 guitar!
Hey gang! After seeing this video I bought this cabinet, and then ve had it about 2 weeks. I play an evh lbx 2 with a full band, and have compared it to the stock evh212 cab, and a carvin legacy 212 I've given it, on estimate, 30-40 hours of play time at stage volume. I do NOT think it sounds like my legacy cab, even tho they both have celestion v30. Legacy are UK made, HB are Chinese. First noticeable difference is the HB cab is lower in volume, tinnier on the highs, and less round on the lows. It's night and day with the evh cab but that was expected. The speakers are totally different. I may need more time to break in the speakers, but imo it sounds fine for the price, definitely a budget cabinet.
i just bought HB 4 x 12 with Vintage 30's and i think its a great deal. The build quality inside the cab is not the greatest but nothing a little carpenter skills cant sort. I've sealed it up inside, reinforced and it sounds great, better than when i bought it. Cant beat it at the price.
Just got myself the horizontal cab recently also. They're amazing!!! I use it for my kemper & the sound is fantastic. It's so light & has the option of 8 ohm to 16 ohm. If anyone is think of getting this but on the fence, JUST DO IT!!!
I don't get why some people hit the dislike button. What is the possible problem with this video how can u not like it at all? He showed u a piece of equipment. What is there not to like?
Harley Benton is one of a few companies he's made videos about that have been considered a "best kept secret" by gearheads. These videos are going to make these insane deals go up in price. I didn't hit the dislike button, but there is a part of me that hates to see these videos get the views they do.
Aside from trolls or other insane people, at some point statistically there are a few klutzes gonna thumb the button wrong or inadvertently. I have a hell of a time fighting this "smartphone" interface. Also could be a hater trying not to deal with some jealousy of a better product than what he paid too much for? I've been hearing some irrational sounds from that camp. I totally appreciate these, but not for me I guess I am running AlNiCo
I bought one of the 1x12 Vintage 30 HB cabs over a year ago for my Tubemiester 18. OMG it's an amazing cab for the money. No issues, sounds great and very well made. I also use it for my Micro Dark. I would have gone with the 2x12 but living in a apartment, I don't really have the room. If anyone is looking for a quality cab on a budget, it's hard to beat the HB Vintage cabs.
Well - I have the 1x12 version of this, which is pretty nice and small. I thought of getting this vertical 2x12 one but.. well... the 1x12 is great, too. By the way: The horizontal one (those Thomann uses in all their guitar youtube videos) is even cheaper and offers stereo inputs while the vertical one is to be preferred for its form.
Phillip, thank you. After watching this video I went to Thomann's site. The Single Cut Guitar Kit (shaped like a Les Paul), was $77. Holy crap, Really? I've always wanted to build a guitar. At $77, how could I go wrong? Even if I constructed it poorly and it played terribly, I'd still have gone thru the process of building a guitar. So I bought the guitar kit, even though I really came for a cabinet. At $225 for the 2x12 cab loaded with V30 Celestions, I Couldn't go wrong there either! They arrived today in California, from Germany, in 5 days. Just when they promised them. The total with freight came to about $400. The cab sounds great and I've got some study to do before starting the guitar project. The cab sounds beautiful. I run a Bogner Atma w a 1x12 cab and wanted to see what a larger cab would do, but didn't feel like gambling $500. It's a much fuller sound, commensurate with the increase in cab size. After a short time playing it, I find that it's a bit brighter than my Bogner 1x12, which is also closed back. You feel the music more, (which was what I was looking for), because of the sloped face and height, I believe. As noted in some videos on the cab, the fit and finish aren't what one might expect from a Marshall or other big name cab. If this matters a lot to you, you may not be satisfied with one of these. If you wanted an inexpensive art project, you could tear off the Tolex and grille and you'd have a blank canvas, that sounds great. I'm less concerned with looks and it looks like a dynamite bargain to me. Thomann's was absolutely superb. This was one of the simplest, fastest transactions of my life. I will absolutely shop there again and would recommend them to anyone. And If you're thinking about getting some of their gear, I wouldn't wait. I believe they've set ultra low prices to get their name out there and develop brand recognition. As other's have stated, the speakers alone would cost ~$275 a la carte from Sweetwater, today. At these prices, demand may soon outstrip supply and prices will go up. And FWIW, I have no association with Thomann's or Phillip McKnight. I just wanted to thank Phillip for making the video and Thomann's for making the gear.
Dude....great review! This is the way reviews should be done. Straight to the point, useful + complete info.....good demo....and tight playing chops just a real nice plus. I'm sold on the cabinets.....I will be getting 2 of them. Rock on!
price went down to 222..... i recently bought a used G212 vintage (horizontal).... it is just good. also much louder then the 212 i also have which has eminence legends in it. i also used to have the version that does not have the vintage 30s in it.... it was just bad. the. worst. speakers. ever. i learned what "ice picky" sounds like from that speakers.
I have the horizontal version of this cab for 7yrs now. Swapped the V30's (because I hate them with all my heart since they're all about fizziness especially with bright NON high gain amps like my Jcm800) in favor of a g1265 and a g12m65 creamback. Love it.
I just bought a Harley Benton jazz bass. It’s $160 and it’s so good. Easily beats a $400 squire and comes very close to a $700 MIM Fender. Would totally recommend it.
Just bought the horizontal version for $202. Such a great deal, especially for a total casual amateur like me who really doesn’t even need this but, you know, G.A.S. The stereo mode on the horizontal looks cool, and I can add some feet to the end and turn her sideways when I want. Also, this being my first cab, I’ve opened up the door to amp heads! Woo how! Can’t wait for delivery!
I was looking at these but ended up going with the Mojotone Imperial 2x12 vert slant cab with v30's. It was $499 with free shipping & is built like a tank! Paired with the PRS MT15 Mark Tremonti head with the Helix LT in 4CM & we dubbed this small rig "The Giant Killer"!! I'm definitely gonna keep an eye on the HB stuff for sure! Keep doing the good stuff !!!!!! 🤘😁🤘
I just got two of the 1 x 12 Cabinets loaded with the Celestions. They're just brilliant. Especially for the money. Everyone take advantage of these "Loss Leaders" while they're doing them. If not... well it's your loss.
Don't be fooled, this isn't a loss leader. Harley Benton is making money on these. Most guitar cabinets are just insanely overpriced/marked up (see literally the same cab from orange for $500). You can get those celestion speakers for like $40/ea if you're buying (iirc) a hundred or more at a time. Hell, if you're buying ten or more you can get them for less than $100. HB is buying them in the thousands, if not tens of thousands. Theyre likely getting them for a song.
@@willcresson8776 Yes you're absolutely right. Its why I called them "Loss Leaders" in inverted commas and capitals but maybe should have explained or qualified that with more detail. I worked for over 25 years in musical instrumental distribution so have been involved in quite a few "loss leaders' myself over the years. Yes the economies of scale will allow them to buy in bulk at highly discounted rates but they have 'skimped' on the cabinet. Your robustly solid Orange would tour very easily. These Harley Benton's? Hmmmm.... I'd be taking a couple of spares with me put it that way. But they do sound the business!. They really, really do.
@@dingdong6069 you bring up some very valid points, vis a vis rigidity, but on the other other other hand you could alove that pretty quick with a trip to the hardware store and some wood screws and barely be any the poorer. I think I get what you meant though, that they could over charge for it (and it would still sell and be a good deal relatively speaking), but they don't because it's good publicity and leads to more over all sales down the line?
@@willcresson8776 Absolutely! The idea is that you're so happy with your incredibly value for money Harley B's even if just for practice/recording that next time you're in the market for whatever your first point of call is Thomann. One thing I'll point out that many are not aware of is the warranty situation. For such as myself being in the UK I have of course happily purchased off German based Thomann many times. All well and good. However, if I have any issues - even if the product is still under warranty - then I am liable for getting the product back to Germany. Not Thomann. People often refute this but I simply cite the example of buying a pair of trousers. You go to the store, select them, pay for them and take them home - but - for whatever reason you have to return the trousers a few days later and the store happily replaces them for you with no quibbles. So you go home happy again with your new pair. But its cost you gas/petrol to drive there and back. Maybe even to park. Or you may have had to buy a return ticket on the bus or train. The store does not refund or compensate you for that. You do it under your own steam. So you are invariably out of pocket. So the thing to consider when buying off Thomann (unless you're in Germany of course) is the "what if it goes wrong?" question. Ok, some strings or a strap or even a cheap 1 x 12 cab you might take the hit on. Doesn't matter if it breaks just buy a new one. But if your purchase is a considerable sum and the product one that may need fixing or repairing then it needs to be factored in before you make the transaction and consider the store in town, even though its more expensive might be a better option warranty wise. Hope that helps!
Picked up a 1x12 thinking, even if I don't like the Cab, I can just stick the speaker in something else! Pretty happy with how it sounds, although haven't really cranked a head through it yet.
Particle Board will swell and crumble when in contact with water. Plywood will just warp when in contact with water, and is "much lighter" than Particle Board. If you want a good sub-woofer for your home or car use Particle or MDF for the enclosure. Want a good sturdy lightweight speaker cabinet then use Plywood.
That’s actually pretty damn impressive. I am curious though, did you break the speakers in before recording this demo? I know you have mentioned that process on a live stream before.
I bought a HB Les Paul gold top. I call it the copper top. I took mine to a party to show a couple of guitar friends and they ordered one that night. We’re in the US. I’m about to order this cabinet.
Ok, I'm sold. This a far better deal that buying anything even remotely similar locally. $370 aud delivered. You can't even get an empty cab for that price here in Australia. I was initially looking to put my old 90s celestions into a new 2x12. I like this option much more. I'll still do the change over one day but for now, take my money.
I bought a Randall RV412A 4x12 cabinet with two V30's and two G12T-75 a few years ago. Brand new for $499.99 shipped to my door from Reverb. I too believed up until watching your video, that the speakers were fake.
Something I realized when Phil was talking about brand awareness and market share: the greater market share you have, you can make less profit you have to make per product, where it instead comes from the sheer volume of products netting you a profit. This is helped more by Harley Benton being Thomann’s own brand, meaning they can have even lower margins.
Just curious, when you took the back off to confirm that the Vintage 30s are real, did you also confirm that the back panel is also made of plywood like the housing is?
Celestion still does make V30's in England, though they're specifically made for Mesa (and maybe MIB Orange?) cabs. You can still buy the MIB V30 through Mesa's online store page for the same price as the current MIC version.
I have their Vintage 1x12 and it is great. Folk are always saying they are _good for the price_ which is very unfair: they are good and the price is good; all good.
Thanks for the video. I'm very skeptical of big names that do not deliver on their promises of great gear for prices I can't afford. I've bought a lot of gear from Thomann and would probably buy everything from them if they had a store in the America's. I remember reading a quote from Hans Thomann once stating he thinks everyone should be able to afford instruments. If you communicate with Thomann,as I have done for quite a while now, that seems to be their driving force. Naturally, if you want to sell gear that everyone can afford, you have to manufacture at the best price. Thomann is the biggest music store in Europe. They have the money, ingenuity, competence, size and skill to make their house brands as good as anyones gear. All this is done at great prices. I have the 1 12 Harley Benton Vintage 30 cabinet and it sounds great, is well built and will last me for my lifetime. I fed my family with the money I saved! You see, they are experts at this. Thomann has been nothing short of excellent in my book and I will buy from them as long as they are there. I think they will be there long after I am gone. Know your Thomann!
Shot the HB 2X12 out against the Mesa 2X12, both sounded great. HB cab is a great deal.

It is very good and the 4x12 one was my main Cab for nearly 8 Years. But now i have an Engl 4x12 and it sounds a lot better. It is a lot punchier and not so fizzy. But for the price it is amazing!
How can you assure us it's real though? You only said that it is. Is there some way you were able to find out?
Cole Bowman you can take my word for it and watch the tons of RUclips reviews on it. Obviously, the only way to know if a piece of gear will work for you is to try yourself. But having such a good reputation and word of mouth does wonders.
@@colebowman2833 live with your suspicions and miss out,
or trust these good folks and get a real bargain.
its that simple...
I bought the single cab 12 inch for my Orange Micro Terror. Great cab. $150 shipped to my door from Germany to here US, can't beat that.
I was thinking of doing the same with the dark. How did it sound?
Yeah it's like a lot of audio stuff, it's very inexpensive to manufacture.
Word I can see that. Ha some companies charging 250-345 for one low watt speaker ehh but no difference whatsoever then one $200 less
Would like to see the inside construction if it wouldn't be to much of a hassel!
Thanks in advance🤟😁
I got one before Christmas 2018. It's great. I put some casters from Home Depot, and... it's awesome!
I bought my daughter a Harley Benton PRS copy, she loves it to bits. Whatever they are doing, they are doing it right.

I love that you check out these odd finds. For me personally (I plan on getting one now), the skin will come off! Bare wood, and speakers. I think it would really pop out in my studio with maybe an Orange head.
Thanks for posting.
I have the horizontal 2x12 and it's great. Handles my Mesa dual rec like a champ!
Me too man. I use one with a power amp and a line 6 pod with cab sim off and it's so much better
I have this cabinet. It is fantastic!!! To say the least, I was taken back at how well this cabinet performs. Hard to believe.
HB have been doing this with vintage 30s in their cabs for a few years! That’s why I buy their cabs used and steal the speakers for better cabs👍🏻
Phillip...so weird! The cab looks like a 4x12 setting way back in your room and then your hand reaches...INCHES and touches it. What a mind trip, lol! It took a while to get use to this style cab. Love what you do. Thanks
I have the horizontal v30 HB cab and it sounds almost as good as my mesa 212 for the price and what you get you can't beat it
I have it. Doesn't sound like a Mesa . Not when you mic them
I've owned a Vintage 30 loaded "g412a vintage" and have a lot of trouble imagining that. Compared to my V30 loaded Engl Pro, it sounded like shit. Even close mic'd, there was a big difference.
@@dirtyharry1881 read! He doesn't say it sounds like, but as good as. Huge difference.
And maybe you're using a mic that colours your sound a bit...
Kudos on that G&L Phil.
Harley Benton do a version 😜
Great cab! I bought it based on this review, thank you so much, Phil!!
I have the 1x12 version of this, and it's excellent.
Welp I was looking at a $490 orange cab, same specs, but HB is getting my money now....
Buy the orange. You won't regret it. I love my ppc2x12 and ppc4x12. They are awesome.
if you gig it u will regret it..
@@jacobbrown1690 gig with the orange and regret it?

I picked up one 2nd hand for £50, was sure that when I popped it open it would have the speaks swapped with something cheaper, but nope, still had the V30's in. Was also suprised how well made the cab was made for its price. Best eBay find to date!
I bought the Harley Benton 1x12 Celestion a while back and its by far my fav cab to date!

I've got a Harley Benton te-30 Tele style guitar.$126 shipped and it's just about as good as my Fenders!
Is it made like the tele and does it have the same twang tone?
@@reficul1984 Its an amazing guitar! 21 fret satin maple neck- 2 single coils with 3- barrel bridge-Mother of pearl scratch plate and beautiful see-thru vintage blonde finish. This guitar is WAY beyond a $93 guitar!

Mission accomplished. I just bought one. You should be endorsed by them!
PHIL! Sssssssush! I can't afford it right now Don't let them know they've been noticed, I'm trying to save up for the PRS fake, not to mention a cab!
Hey gang! After seeing this video I bought this cabinet, and then ve had it about 2 weeks. I play an evh lbx 2 with a full band, and have compared it to the stock evh212 cab, and a carvin legacy 212
I've given it, on estimate, 30-40 hours of play time at stage volume.
Can you review the Harley benton fusion with the flamed roasted maple neck?
Very curious about ss fret quality
i just bought HB 4 x 12 with Vintage 30's and i think its a great deal. The build quality inside the cab is not the greatest but nothing a little carpenter skills cant sort. I've sealed it up inside, reinforced and it sounds great, better than when i bought it. Cant beat it at the price.
I have the 112 version and it is amazing! i will probably buy the vertical 2x12 because omg they are so good and have the best speakers
Super Mecha Death Christ had to dislike this comment for laughs 🤪
Finally a reputable review from a trusted source! Thanks Phil!
Love it.

Partical board is heavy ,its mostly glue plywood is much lighter .
Damn for that price I’d get 2!!!
They also have a 4x12 w/vintage 30's for $373... :)
This is the first gear review ive seen where a bowling for soup riff is played. Rock on
That’s actually pretty damn impressive. I am curious though, did you break the speakers in before recording this demo? I know you have mentioned that process on a live stream before.

The term you’re looking for is
“loss-leader”.
All you have to do to understand Thomann's tactic on this is to look up "loss leader" in wikipedia. ;-)
I bought a Randall RV412A 4x12 cabinet with two V30's and two G12T-75 a few years ago. Brand new for $499.99 shipped to my door from Reverb. I too believed up until watching your video, that the speakers were fake.

Mike One of their 4x12 Celestion cabs is cheaper than 2 2x12! Saving even more!
It seems like something finally lives up to the hype and it may be a legitimate value
No back panel, The speakers are from loaded on to a plywood baffle. So the whole cabinet is ply.
The V30's in Harley Benton cabs are made in China and sound very different to the UK made ones...
Celestion still does make V30's in England, though they're specifically made for Mesa (and maybe MIB Orange?) cabs. You can still buy the MIB V30 through Mesa's online store page for the same price as the current MIC version.
i thought the vintage 30s are made in china , and the only celestions made in the uk are the alnico ones , maybe i'm wrong ?
Still sounds a bit too good to be true. Could you do a shootout with another cab sporting a pair of V30's?
I have their Vintage 1x12 and it is great. Folk are always saying they are _good for the price_ which is very unfair: they are good and the price is good; all good.
Malmsteen needs to switch to HB wall of sound!! Imagine that? Lol
