Ellen, I’ve been taking an online watercolor class with a lovely woman, but lots of her stuff is to be traced and filled in. I wanted to just free-hand paint and your classes have been perfect for that! Plus the fact that you’re obviously a New Englander is an added bonus. I love your laid back approach! I’ve never painted in my life until now and I absolutely love it. Thank you for making your talent available!
Wow! This inspires me to paint some Christmas cards!! You make everything seem so easy and I have a number of successful paintings from following along with you! Started painting a year ago and I am 68 years old. Thank you for making the impossible possible.
It was like a lightbulb went off when watching the third “Charlie brown” tree. I’ve struggled to do this look of a tree and no one until now mentioned setting the position of the lines going out then coming back to do in between then fill it out. That truly has helped so much so thank u again Ms Ellen!
I really enjoy seeing different styles of trees to get new ideas. I've been painting a lot of Christmas trees, but none in the styles you have here. Thanks for sharing! Susan
Are you using pan paints? At the beginning of the tutorial you showed wet paints ready to go. I tried moving some of my colors from pan to a well thingy and really wasn't very successful. Love your instruction style.
Mi chiedevo perché non hai iniziato da sinistra? Sarebbe stato più logico, anche per evitare di sporcare il disegno fatto prima. Comunque sono bellissimi.
these look like for children. what for can one use this? I wouldn't want to put that on christmas cards to give to others and for children I would use another motiv. this is not helpful at all.
Those gold dots seriously made that tree!

I ended up buying tube paints because transferring from pans to a palette was so hard.
Fun
