The first two seasons were produced for and by RUclips
Hello bro
@@skyblu81 and it should still be on RUclips.
I can't wait to see your reaction to season 2 and 3. It gets better and more intense.
A word about reaction videos:
The most common cause of them being copyright claimed and taken down is due to the music in the videos. There are two songs in here that might give you problems. Many reactors get around this by watching with headphones and then muting the movie/show for the duration of the song. If RUclips gives you problems, that is a commonly used work-around.
i love johnny and miguel’s relationship- in the dojo johnny is is his sensei; the father figure and mentor that miguel needs. but outside of it, miguel is someone johnny can confide in and treat like a friend, which has always been something hes missed ever since he lost to daniel. its a relationship clearly built on mutual respect and trust.
I never thought of this analysis before, but now that I read it---you are dead on right. Their relationship is very unique in the show, and in the world generally.
untill season 4 DX
@@MalonzeProductionsGaming Man that one scene got even me who never dares to be cracked like that why did they have to put miguel through that
@@redrazor1960 That was such a heart rise, then a sudden power slam into the ground and stomped on
@@MalonzeProductionsGaming I swear man i legit shed a tear because i feel miguels character personally and then that scene where johnny told him things and it was all for robby in the end i think thats also why miguel refused to continue fighting in the tournament
18:04 When Johnny's car burned down, I immediatley got an ad for a tire company saying they can replace damaged wheels. The irony.
I love how he said “They need to work together they need a common enemy” oh boy oh boy your gonna love the new coming season 4
That ‘no. I see wires’ part was actually hilarious, sucked the magic out of the whole scene in such a funny way
I couldnt see the wires... I tried
@@AM-jx3zf I think he saw it in the movement of daniel when doing it
I never bothered to look for the wires because it was obvious that he was using them from the start. Especially when he lifted the one hand. He was completely off balance.
@@AdventVFX I noticed that as well after he said it. The leg looks very stiff as if it's being pulled and held.
@maxwesty Never said it did
He timed his viewing of Cobra Kai perfectly, if he keeps releasing season two and three after he’s done with season one. Being able to react to season 4 when it premiers.
Ohh smort
He literally has said that multiple times
😂😂
He’s pretty good at predicting where they were heading with the next seasons
robby entered the tournament “unaffiliated” with any dojo; made it seem so much more badass almost like he was a fighting game protagonist or something.
The final boss in Bruce lee’s game of death!! Abdul jabar was the final opponent for Bruce and he used an unknown style
For sure, in any kind of individual sport. If you can stand alone and win, the respect would be massive. Lone wolves are at a disadvantage in their training, but the reward is huge if they win.
That couldn't happen in a non professional tournament. The tournament has generally the same but would accept a new school in the tournament format. A individual who doesn't belong to any school involved in the tournament and can't even produce proof through a dojo or sensi what belt he even is would never be allowed into any amateur tournament except MMA or kickboxing depending on what they allow. Under the rules set up between cobra kai and Daniel in the first move if anyone would of disputed Daniel late entry john kresse a local known sensi in the area could of for pain sake verified Daniel as able to compete in the tournament . They had know idea who robbie was, he wasn't affiliated with any school in the area and there wasn't anyone who even tried to verify what belt level he even was to let him compete. I love the show but that couldn't happen in a traditional martial arts tournament but if it was a MMA tournament that was open to any team with a coach and or people working in his corner they would take him or a kickboxing tournament
The reason Johnny was doing that with the salt is because he was used to normal salt shakers and that one was a fancy salt grinder where you have to rotate the grinder to get salt.
Club soda is seltzer water or carbonated water
Or if you live where we have humidity.... That salt could be all clumped together if you didn't add rice or crackers or something 🤣🤣
they also call it still (tap) vs sparking (carbon).
it looked like a regular shaker to me, I went back and looked and it doesn't look like a grinder. I'm not saying it isn't, because that would make sense for him to do that, but if you look at it when he and anthony are talking, it looks like ar egular one to me.
@@TheOctabreaker Maybe cooking in the LaRusso household is just super bland compared to what Johhny is used to eating (mostly fast food loaded with salt and MSG it seems).
@@calebfuller4713 true, we do get a glimpse into Jonny’s life and see him eat things like fried balogna, manwichwith jerky added, etc. it’s possible it was (or seemed) super bland because he’s used to sodium filled junk!
One of the things that makes this show so compelling is that characters are people, with good traits and bad traits. Johnny and Daniel are trying to teach as best they can, but they both get angry. The Cobra Kais start as the victims of bullying, then become the bullies, but we still see them as people, with all the problems that come from being American teenagers. Really an excellent show, and I'm really enjoying seeing you react to it.
P.S., you're *very* good at predicting what's going to happen next.
😆
The car scene with Johnny and Daniel singing to Speedwagon was indeed very wholesome !
Love your Cobra Kai reactions dude !
Its nice to see someone with genuine remarks, positive and negative 🙏🏽💯
Owned a Firebird in high school back in 87. Watching that majestic vehicle burn hurt more than my divorce
This is my favorite thing to watch on RUclips.
The conflict the audience feels while watching Robby and Miguel fight is the same conflict Johnny feels in the same position. The writers for this season did a masterful job of building on the Karate Kid story with a new generation. As an adult who grew up watching Daniel and Johnny, I really appreciate how the rivalry continues to evolve with a combination of adult consequences and teenage pranks. This show is incredible.
I loved seeing Robby chill out and pull the memories of him and Daniel training into his head. Something like that can help a lot of people actually if they're feeling stressed or anxious, pulling a memory up where they were happy and relaxed.
40:02 I think this is actually a pretty nice detail. In the early days of MA schools of the states, it was not unheard of for some teachers label themselves "Karate" but actually being teaching something similar like TKD or Tang soo do. This is because the term Karate was more well known. For this tournament probably as long as you follow the rules, any striking art can join.
It'd make sense if this is the only tournament where you could compete in the area. You're a non Karate school and want somewhere where ur students can compete and this is the only place
Kenpo was like this isong k as rate as a suffix
Well, a kick is a kick. As long as it's not a banned move, I doubt anyone is gonna get banned for the slight difference between a karate roundhouse kick and one in TKD, or cus someone isn't in the exact same stance they'd use in kata, or when lined up in lessons
It still happens these days sometimes, honestly. When I went to university, their sports facility offered a "Kung Fu" class, but it turned out to be a kinda kung fu-ier version of Vietnamese Vovinam. Was still fun, but they had to call it Kung Fu because not many people know what the hell Vovinam is.
Calling all martial arts karate is like calling every brand of soda Coke or Coca-Cola, and every brand cereal Corn Flakes.
12:13 Yeah you are correct. I think one of the reasons is as you said, movie reasons, but story wise it was cause Daniel was a very angry kid and Mr. Miyagi wanted him to calm down and relax a lot.
5:53 "why cant they just team up they need a common enemy"
𝘒𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘴𝘦 𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘴 𝘳𝘰𝘰𝘮
I absolutely love revisiting this show with you. I agree that everyone needs to take time to listen and understand before rushing to anger and judgment but they have to create and resolve conflict to make the story interesting.
This what I dont like about this show. Everyone is so hot headed this is crazy. And the sames conflicts repeat themselves
DANIEL WAS NOT THE BULLY!. He merely tried to give Alli her radio back. Johnny pushed him down first. And let's not forget the whole forcing Daniel off a road on the bike.
@Elmer Santos lara Yes, fully understand point of view...but ol' Johnny omitted a few details :)
Cobra Kai uses Tang Soo Do, in Season 3 in flashback kreese's sensei in military said he learned it while in Korea etc.
One of things about this series is that Daniel and Johnny are more alike than they like to admit.
BTW, the crew actually gave Ralph, the actor who plays Daniel, the yellow car from the first movie as a gift. He still owns it to this day.
I love how some of the jokes fly over his head and he just gives a straight face through out these jokes. You can see a slight cultural difference in comedy which is a little refreshing in a way. Love your videos, keep up the great content! 🙌❤️
The wives intervention in the fight is STILL my favorite moment! Made me laugh so hard!

Thank you so much for your reactions. It is my absolute pleasure, to learn about Japanese culture thru your reactions. I think you have a rich and respectful culture, and I wish I could come to Japan to visit. I wish to include Okinawa too, to learn Okinawan Goju-Ryu Karate, because it's one of my core arts that I've learned. I rooted for Miguel the whole time, I just wish he would have won over Robby in a decent way. What Miguel did is of course wrong, this is not a way to behave. However strategically, this isn't a mistake to identify your opponent's weakness, and to attack it. If you thought this season is cool, wait until you see season 2 and 3, this is only get more and more intense. I also reacted just like you, when I saw John Kreese again, but I knew he will show up at some point.
Johnny can tell a story.
Wow, dude. It didn't happen like that.
Made Daniel out to be a villain 🤣
Daniel is the villain. There's a really good RUclips video explaining everything in excruciating detail. Go watch that video, then watch the original Karate Kid again. You'll definitely understand that Johnny is the hero and Daniel is the villain. It's hard to defend Daniel after you see things clearly and recognize that Daniel was always the aggressor.
@@SmartAlx I'll check it out, I could be wrong
@@SmartAlx dude, that video is _literally_ a fucking joke, okay?
I love how Yusuke gets so stressed out from the scenes. Hahaha. This is really a well-written show.
6 - 7:30
Seco is a type of stew in some Latin American countries, Peru and Ecuador mostly. Seco de carne would be a type of beef stew.
Plantains are related to bananas, but are used in savory dishes, while bananas are sweet and usually used in deserts.
25:22
Club soda is just carbonated mineral water.
As a martial artist myself (Chinese Hun-Gar Longfist) I really appreciate your commentary and reactions to this series. I loved the Karate Kid movies when I was younger and they still hold up to this day. Cobra Kai is not perfect, but I still absolutely love everything about it. It provides much needed character development and alternative perspectives which I think work perfectly with a modern audience. It's a great way to introduce a new generation to the story and still keep the old guys like us invested in it. Great job, keep up the good work! 👍
There was a similiar experiment here in Germany I believe, in the 1970's, in which one group were wardens of a fake prison and another group were the prisoners. Both groups were selected randomly. The wardens began to escalate their given authority up until they tortured the prisoners. The experiment had to be stopped in order to avoid that someone gets seriously injured.
But there are other experiments which show that people can be inherently moral and good. Like when there is someone in a room that another person can not see, but he can hurt that person in the room via remote electro shocks. A fake scientist in a lab coat, conducting a fake "experiment" via punishment, commanded the probant to hurt the person with electro shocks every time that same person answered wrongly to a random question. Every time an electro shock was given the person in the room screamed more loudly; at some point even begging to stop (It was all fake to see at what point people defy the authority of the scientist and stop the experiment on their own volition, because they could not baer to hurt the person with electro shocks anymore. There was nobody hurt, it was all fake). Most people who were commanded by the scientist to keep doling out the shocks questioned the authority of the scientist very quickly. And when this scientist did not stop demanding they should keep doling out the shocks, one person, a man, stood up and said he's calling the cops now. Another guy stood up and tried to break open the room to free the person inside. Another person threatened the scientist with violence if he does not stop this cruel experiment, etc.
So not all people are bad when they have some kind of leverage over other, albeit defensless people.
The prison guard study is the "Stanford Prison Guard Experiment" by Philip Zimbardo in 1971. It was used in a lot of textbooks but has been called into question recently.
The fake electroshock experiment has been done multiple times but the original was by professor Stanley Milgram.
It's considered unethical today and some participants still report trauma from the experiment and variations of it years later. A few years ago, they repeated it on French TV and only one person ( a young girl ) resisted escalating. A majority of people have complied each time these experiments have been done.
I like that with cobra Kai that really there are no "villains" is more the teachings of "cobra Kai" and everyone has there story and reasons
You are going to come to love Amanda in this series. She is perhaps one of the most awesome characters in the show. 🙂
Still spending most of the run so far as just another reductive little self-satisfied, SoCal shitbird, tho...
Your channel is very informative, in my early youth I've been learning Kung-Fu, that turned out to be fake, so I recognize many of your techniques that my teacher called them kung-fu. He used Japanese numbers (ICH, NI, SAN etc...),some Chinese movements and mostly Karate ones... Japan itself is beautiful with most interesting culture, when I was there, I learned a lot. Keep your channel going, please, it's fascinating.
I learnt kung fu for 1 year... Though I'd probably get killed by anyone who's trained a little, I still realized that it's not about the movements etc. It's the ability to take hits that counts way more, and after that you just gotta be smart and find an opening. I'll mostly lose out on stamina tho.
@@AM-jx3zf The experience I wrote about above lasted five years, so even if the "master" was fake, I'm sure I've learned enough to be able to hold my own if I'll ever get into a fight. One thing my "master" tought right was that I learn how to avoid fighting altogether, or: fighting is the last resort. And yes, taking a punch is a great skill. Stamina also...
@@ItsMeBarnaby I think he did spar though... we had sparring and so we took punches then
@@ItsMeBarnaby Oh, but we did spar, a lot. The techniques weren't what the teacher said they were.
Watching this with your reactions is actually more fun than watching it the first time 😄
This is great, I learn a bit about Japanese culture while watching a reaction
I loved the series and i'm enjoying your reaction vids too. The character development is great. Everybody has their good side and their bad side. One minute Jonny is a shitty father, the next he's a good father figure. The teenagers all show different sides. Brilliant script
Season 3 has been the best one so far…..very hopeful for season 4. Each season just gets better, and better.
Absolutely a pleasure and privilege watching this with you.
Wow i was just watching the last episode and this popped up in the playlist!
This videos unlisted, so im pretty sure ur not suppose to be watching this yet lol
@@parisledog168 haha
Loving this series! Just finished your latest video! Very excited to see the next one!
I actually love how they do the Japanese music tunes during the show like in the movies ,so soothing and relaxing.
Great thing about the first couple of seasons is there really isn’t a clear hero and villain. Both teams have their good moments, their bad moments, moments of growth and moments of descent. The later seasons are more cut and dry who the heroes and who the villains are. But there still is a lot of growth for those who are on the “villains” team
Your videos are an absolutely delightful way to get ready for Season 4! I'm so looking forward to how you'll respond to what happens in 2 and 3!
Im loving this reacts so much :3 your opinions are so polite and also look like your enjoying the series. I watched 4 times, its a pleasure to be watching one more time along side with you :D
6:01 “seco de carne” is like a beef stew. Miguel ‘s mom is supposed to be Ecuadorian.
I still get goosebumps when Kreese shows up
I love this show, and I had the same reaction as you did when watching it the first time through. If they'd just communicate there would be almost no conflict. lol. I've been a fan of the movies since they were released back in the 80's. No revival has ever been anywhere near as good as this.
When first watching this I didn't know who to side with. I like that. Everyone sees themselves as the hero of thier story. In reality there is no good guy or bad guy. We are all both.
Daniel is the bad guy. Always has been.
I love how Johnny explains the situation with Daniel. He actually makes Daniel look like the bad guy. There's a whole theory that Daniel was always the real bully.
@@John_Smith76 Johnny sabotaged Daniel's soccer tryout and pushed him down a hill while he was riding his bike. I think Daniel pouring water on Johnny wasn't too egregious considering all the abuse he had taken.
I was waiting for the end when Kreese came to see your reaction, this show is so epic
Pls react to S2 and S3 too. Love the series btw, can't wait for s4
Can't wait for more reactions. Cobra Kai just keeps getting better!

I already enjoyed this series some time ago, but it was so funny to watch it again with your review!
Nice video!
I love how you share knowledge about Japan with us--it's always interesting to learn about other cultures. Thank you! About plantains--they actually aren't the same as bananas. I think they're a bit bigger and also not as sweet. Plus you have to cook them. You see them a lot in Cuban food as a side item. Also, in another video you asked if Americans drink warm beer. I don't drink beer, but I used to tend bar and I know a lot of people who do drink beer. To answer your question, generally no--Americans prefer it ice cold. Back to the reaction! 🙂
The guy that taught the actors that played the cobra kai's was a tae kwon do and hapkaido practitioner which is why johnny's techniques in the first movie are why he favours kicks so much.
I've seen cobra kai over and over. But watching with a true karate teacher was fun.thanks for the good commentary
Good job picking out the Capoeira!
I dated a girl in college who practiced it. It is beautiful to watch and has a fascinating history also.
Do you have any videos that discuss it? I searched, but found none from you.
"are you sure daniel taught you that? because he couldn't do that"
Caught me off guard 😂
I love seeing the pure joy in the reaction of a leader seeing conflict being resolved peacefully. These videos, and your reactions, have been very entertaining.
I love that you're watching these. You're going through the same emotions I had!

Club soda is a dressed-up manner of saying sparkling water. Sparkling water is just a dressed-up manner of saying carbonated water. Way back when, around the end of the 1800's, and throughout the early decades of the 1900's, club soda was the standard base of commercial soda, mixed by hand, and then later by machines- still done to this day at modern soda fountains- with condensed syrup. Still popular, carbonated water can be bought in bottles or cans, and is typically sold for home mixing, and is used in bars to make certain drinks that require water and carbonation. It's still ultimately just water though, so upon request, most places will give for free.
Loved your reaction to that ending - I was waiting for it! Can't wait to see your reaction to the ending of S3 too
When you yell in our version of Karate, it helps make your kicks and punches more powerful. Besides, just fun, especially if you've had a rough day, you can just let all your frustration out in the dojo, yell as much as you want.
I started binge watching you viewing the season and got to episodes 8-10 and realized it was premiered an hour and a half ago. Good timing lol. Loving it.
Been binge watching your Cobra Kai takes. Thanks for these, Yusuke-sensei, very insightful and fun 😊
I love seeing how invested you are getting. It really is a great show. Also your honest insights are cool and appreciated.
great reaction! I laughed my ass off when you said, "are you sure Daniel taught you that? Daniel can't do that" 😂
"Miguel! Don't look! Oh no!" Lol
You are gold, sir.
Thank you so much for your reaction. I can´t wait for season 4 and I rewatching this with you. Thanks for sharing.
I think the social experiment you were talking about at the end was the First Wave (or possibly some other numbered Wave). The teacher came up with the whole idea in response to a student who asked how the German populace allowed National Socialism to escalate into the Third Reich. From memory, it was a pretty off the cuff idea from the teacher, rather than a structured experiment. It's generally frowned upon nowadays but I've always found it to be a fascinating practical lesson that probably taught every student at that school a valuable life lesson about politics, tribalism and mob mentality. The Dollop podcast has a great episode on it that I might have to re-listen to!
@TheGuy Oh shit, that sounds really interesting. Is that the same Wave experiment I was talking about, or have there been others?
You spotted that handstand kick being used in the final parts from so early on! I'm enjoying your reactions with your expertise on Karate! Thanks so much!
I really appreciate the fact that you’re taking the time to watch these movies, and you seem to be enjoying them. Thank you for having an open mind
I loved re-watching this, and I enjoyed your reaction at the end.
Very fun watching with Yusuke! 😁
As a martial artist, my favorite tournament fighter from the entire series was Vidal. technique, positioning, he was the only one that seemed like a real life martial artist to me. I would love to see him make a cameo in the series.
He could be the instructor at Topanga. And Jackie Chan at some other dojo, along with Jaden Smith, that would be fun!
@@dirgniflesuoh7950 exactly, something like that would be awesome
@@dirgniflesuoh7950 if Jaden Smith would be in it, don't you think Zhenwei Wang (Cheng) should be there as well from the movie for a friendly rivalry? And and also maybe Wenwen Han (Meiying) to be along with Jaden as a couple like they're picking up from their movie?
@@dirgniflesuoh7950 The problem with Mr. Han is that... Jackie Chan exists in this universe. Robby says he feels like he's Jackie Chan before he did the tree training.

Great Reaction video man, i watch the whole 59 minutes ahahahaha. Dawm Cobra Kai is so so so good. As a fanboy of Karate kid for me cobra kai is probably the best series ever made.
Great Video. Being your a Sensei, this is by far the Best reaction video I've seen on Cobra Kai...
people keep forgetting that Kreese is a combat veteran trained in karate for real combat the extreem agression and state of mind kept them alive. he trained how he was trained and johnny ect.ect.
I already watched the whole series, so I can’t wait for your reaction on season 3!
Dude, the look on your face when Johnny asked what Facebook was had me cracking up.
I agree. Robby is more physically gifted than Daniel at same age. In reality Ali could've kicked Daniels ass back then. Love Johnny's Karate. It's very effective outside the Dojo
The final scene is so intense! Johnny is watching his surrogate son fight his real son, and you can tell he's conflicted, and doesn't want either of them to lose (just like the viewer.) Daniel's perspective is more one-sided and streamlined, but again, he's not the main character. #hottake
Also, Sam cheering for Alicia despite her being Cobra Kai is just more evidence of how nuanced the characters were in Season 1. Too bad this character in particular becomes the worst of the worst in later seasons...
(Oh, and no real tournament would have just let some guy off the audience come in and coach a participant on the FINAL MATCH, after being previously unaffiliated - no matter how much of a celebrity they were!)
Love your reactions. :-) Someone's probably already mentioned it, but club soda is just carbonated water. It's not alcoholic at all, but you can mix it with other flavorings or alcohol.
I really enjoy you as a commentator😊💞 shared insight/knowledge is very interesting; able to see/enjoy more as a result👊🏼
