Funny how EA made a good MMORPG for once. Kinda sad that it doesn’t get the attention it deserves
They made a good MMORPG, did nothing for a long time for end game and then threw a bunch of pay-to-play mechanics in to compensate for their small contribution to content in terms of playerbase. Much like ESO but atleast it is a bit better, in pay to play anyways.
At least its starting to, ten years of not giving up on the game seems to be finally paying off
It was really bad for a while kinda like ESO at the start. Max level when it came out had 0 things to do besides pvp. Still love the game though.

@@robertstalnaker2227 yeah did basically fuck all, 😂😂😂 wich kinda sucks considering i played this game a bit on and off for nearly 10 years, ran 4 guilds over the years 2 for each side, :P started a Cult. Started a imperial takeover of a republic RP guild. Fond memories. Still chat with some of the lads i used to play with, particularly my original apprentice, we play other games nowadays but We did some strange sheite over the years😂😂😂 and he typically took my words a bit too serious when We did the sith RP, was tired one evening while holocron hunting on tatooine, that blasted jawa balloon trip Bugged out a few times "went invisible so We couldent get on" so We spendt over 3 hours trying to get one holocron, afterwards i was tired, half asleep, was the middle of the night for me so i told him to kill every jawa on the planet as an annoyed quip, when i woke Up i got about 100 screenshots of dead jawas from all Over the planet😂😂😂
I think the most fun I had in this game was playing a Sith and being lightside, Not for the acts themselves but for the fact that all the other Sith were like 'Oh hey, nice job'. It was comical, no wonder they have spy problems lol.
As long as you're doing your job and are loyal to the Empire the Sith don't care how you do it.
Playing the "honourable" sith is very satisfying

Idk about everyone else, but the announcement of Legacy of the Sith got me back in.

I've finished all the content 6 times now. I'm waiting for the next expansion, but I adore this game. It is my favourite MMO to date, which was a title that previously belonged to EQ2.
This game's going to get even wilder when you can pick basically any weapon for any class, at least within the limits of Force users/non Force users. I wish I could erase my memory so I can experience all the stories again for the first time.
Yep. Once Legacy of the Sith comes out, it'll be like this:
Tech Classes - Can use any ranged weapon (with all the abilities of the advanced class that the weapon was previously exclusive for)
Force Classes - Can use any melee weapon, abilities after lvl 10 tied to Force Alignment (example, if you start as Sith Inquisitor/Assasin/Sorcerer & go Light Side, you'll get the Jedi Councilor/Mystic/Shadow's abilities while keeping your starting Sith abilities)

Still, turned out I wasn't completely accurate with that assessment 10 months ago.
Still restrained to one or two subclasses (can still be a Sniper & Commando as a smuggler etc, but not both at the same time & once you've chosen the two classes, you're stuck with them like before/pre-7.0) & in regards to force alignment, you'd have to have had achieved full alignment on the opposing side (Light V for Republic toons, Dark V for Empire toons) if you want a light-side powered Warrior or Dark Side wielding Councilor (though getting the two achievements tied to these alignments once for each server/legacy).
Also, the access to having a 2nd combat style/subclass for each toon is for subscribers only. Tragically...
You need to do more videos with Sinduit, cause the dynamic you two have together is great.
This is the first video I've seen from this channel and it was wonderful, hopefully there's more SWTOR videos down the line.

Every once in a while I come back to this game, do some things, pay a month of subscription and stop after 2 weeks cuz all my friends stopped playing. To this day, I think SWTOR is one of the best MMOs out there. With a lot of gachas, lootbox and p2w, its surprising to see an EA game without any of that lol
Played this when it came out. It is the best leveling experience I have ever had in a MMORPG or any other game and I've been gaming 37 years now.
It's literally Dragon Age Origins but actually it's Star Wars, what's not to like?

I recently got into this game and it really is so damn addicting it’s crazy
The very first random flashpoint you enter and it's Lost Island lol I love this game but that one gave veteran players nightmares back in the vanilla version. I somehow haven't gotten it through random since it was added to the veteran mode list. I'm so glad to see new players enjoying the game like this.

Yea. It was only recently that I stopped playing and realised how bad this game is. It makes u so addicted I got so obsessed I did nothing all day just so I could romance a character, get a new lightsabre, level up, whatever, I am never going back to this game

I just don't like how they made companions godly. I spent the first two years I played the game building up my crafting skills, and then it became a moot point. Still, while I played it I loved it. Hell, I was at the NYC launch! Fun night.

Used to play this for hours just trying different classes with rp twists. I had several maxed classes as well as crafting(each class i had master a different crafting profession.), all companion quests done since you could just spam their fav gift. Really easy mmorpg to get into if you love star wars.

I remember playing this game some years ago for a really long time think I even played through it with everyclass such good and fun mmorpg to play with friends
I started the game before about two years with the mindset that i am gonna play an old Star Wars game and uninstall it a week later… i was so wrong!! this game got me hooked from the beginning till now. I didn’t even play the online side of the game until this week. Can’t wait for the next expansion

I remember playing SWTOR a couple years back. It's definitely improved, but what I dislike the most is that all the companions are the same now. They can all heal, tank and do DPS. When I actively played they only specialized in one thing. For me it made the game much more difficult, preventing me from just steamrolling through the entire game.
I think they should just tone down the effectiveness of them. I like picking what they are because it doesn't require me to take my healer at all times and spam my other comps with gifts to keep up their appreciation

if i were you i would do the empire agent or either sith first...they have the best story lines after that prob the smuggler story line. pretty sure those are the highest rated story arcs in that order...
It's more of a personal taste thing in my opinion. I perform a adventure full of rogue merc and revenge so the bounty hunter story drew me in.

AFAIK its usually Agent > Sith Warrior > Knight > Trooper > Inq > BH or Smug > BH or Smug > JC Not saying thats what everyone thinks, just generally what people tend to agree on.
The middle moves a bit but the Agent at the top and JC at the bottom are pretty universally agreed on.
