I am the owner of a EQS 450+ in white and I love the car. While I considered a Model Y, this car adds several desirable features including longer range, SiriusXM radio, Apple CarPlay and radar on the adaptive cruise control. Using the cruise control on the highway today, I put on my turn signal and the car changed lanes automatically. It cooled down a little today and I was able to open the sunroof. This car has met all of my desires and I am one very happy owner. I am getting over 400 miles of range with a 90% charge.
I love my 580, I have it for 3 weeks and the style grows on me....but I spend lots of time inside, that's the most important as the entire experience is like from another planet
The exterior of this car grows on me, and it looks better in person. I actually prefer a dark, single color like this - and I think the wheels matches the aero design perfectly. Agree with most of what you say in your conclusion. I would also mention the great head lights and turing circle.
Mercedes knows how to build a car, and even without farting noises or boom box capability or noise cancelling because the cabin is ridiculously loud, it is still one of the best cars on the road even in EV guise.
Great looking car... Good presentation! The driver lane assist distronic extended restart in stop and go traffic (auto pilot) is better than Tesla in some ways... Very impressed so far. Yes, I own one of these.... and traded my Model 3 for it... Thank you!
Just ordered a fully loaded EQS350 AMG. 350 specs range and performace are ok. I expect best tco for the 350. Coming from model s wich a owned for 4 years with 0% issues. Getting a very nice price for my Tesla.
The regular S-Class has a CD of 0.22. They could literally just make that electric and everyone would be happy, they didn’t need to make it ugly for 0.02 CD better drag!
Am i missing something with the rear space? I’m 189cm and when i sat in the back of one behind my ~185cm brother i sat like a banana, i had to hunch over and 3/4 of my legs weren’t even supported by the seat! I could max do a 30 minute trip in it due to the terrible seating position. Not to mention that the door panel nearly unclipped when i tried to close the door, and that the exterior door handle rattled like a maracas. Meanwhile in a BMW i4 M50 i could sit completely upright behind my brother and it was built rock solid🤔
I think the 21" wheel size is the problem with the suspension shuddering over bumps. I bet on smaller wheels it would be better I had an E class estate AMG line with 20" wheels and though it was generally very comfortable, speed bumps, potholes etc caused horribly jarring shudders through the chassis
Testdriven an EQS and if I search for something negative to write although I must admit it is my dream car, it should be that you can't see where it ends in the front. Risk of hitting something...
Hey Kris! Great vid, I just wanted to ask will you make another vid about the update on the 2022 XC90? The all electric? It's been hard to find a good vid around this time about it, but your previous vids were great, so yeah, would love it if you made an update
Lucid is only for the Americans at least for the next 5 to 10 years even if you can buy this in any other country you are not going to have any customer support and is to much money to gamble in a start up.
@@vasilispoyiatzeas9137 it apparently available to order in some European countries and the middle east, and one leasing company says they expect it soon. However I’d wait for some European reviews, American cars rarely translate well to European roads (Tesla are the exception, probably because of the based the first car on a Lotus platform, and the early partnership with Daimler)
It’s a bit odd, why is not the s-class of ev’s. The s-class is just the industry leader everytime and in AMG form insanely fast. For decades now it’s been look at the s-class because that’s the tech your will have in a 4-5years. Seems as though Mercedes has still not managed to pick the ball back up.
As a "style" you would never know that this is a "top of the range" Mercedes.... rather than a new Toyota Camry! Clearly it is a quality product inside.
@@abraxastulammo9940 no, Mercedes reports 0.23 only for the AMG EQS. But a German car journalist says you need the small rims with balloon like tyres plus the AMG style package to actually reach 0.2. Any differences from that highly efficient package will negatively affect the Cw value. And when you look at the changes of the WLTP ranges for different offered setups, it's my assumption that also the non AMG EQS quickly achieves a Cw of ~0.22 or 0.23.
Haha, now that's funny 😂 How do you recon this is "trying" to a Tesla? And not only is this more efficient than a 2015 Model S, it is also substantially bigger! So again, you are funny dude!
EQS is MY Dream Car💖

EQS is a technical Masterpiece👌🏾 Benchmark

I don't even mind the styling anymore. The BMW grills is way worse. 😂

My perfect garage would be a 580 EQS, alongside a Taycan GTS and a Rivian R1T

I'm actually impressed by Mercedes with their native EVs like the EQS but also the EQXX!

The reviews so far suggest 21'' is no problem for comfort. Out of spec tested the AMG model with 22'' and said it was still super comfy.
@@thorsev6960 Really? That's an impressive suspension then. Now the only drawback is slightly decreased range.
Apparently we aren't getting the 580 varient in the UK
The only options are the 450+ RWD with 333hp or the AMG AWD with 658hp.
Are you getting the 350?
For me, it would the perfect EV, if it had 800 V system !!! As always, superb review Kris !!!
For sure the best electric car in the world. But I would go for the 450 without hyperscreen.
When will you review BYD HAN EV?
There is also a EQS 350 with 90kw battery starting at 89.900 euro.

Could you please do one video on MG ZS EV. 🙏

Kris, get your hands on a Lucid Air when you have the chance. It may be better than this EQS...

Lucid Air is mutch better , and very more efficient .
Cool! So you’ve driven one then? 😊

Best EV no, doesnt have 800v charging, also price vs what you get is rediculous.
You should wait and test new model s and lucid air before giving the awards imo.
Would be cool if someone had it already and lend it to Kris!
