Beaulieu Garage - 1966 W108 Mercedes Benz 250SE Walkaround *Sold*

Offered for sale at Beaulieu Garage we have a beautiful and very original Mercedes 250SE Saloon. Supplied new by Rose & Young of London to a Mr Victor Matthews who at the time of purchase was CEO of Trafalgar house and later proprietor of the Daily Express. He retained ownership of the car until 1986 when he passed it on to his son, who drove it until 2005. It comes to us from a large private collection of superb quality, low mileage Mercedes vehicles of which any collector would be envious. The condition of this car speaks volumes for the few previous owners fastidious attitude when it comes to their vehicles. It was most recently awarded 2nd in class at the concours event on Mercedes Benz national day in 2018 which was some achievement.
The paintwork, exterior bright-work and panel fit is all first class and the interior is factory fresh with no visable wear on the seats. The head lining is also spotless and the original Blaupunkt radio works perfectly.
The service history file is vast. The original service book, complete with stamps dating from when the car had covered just 571 miles is included, along with all original owners books, 30 MOT certificates (Including a fresh one) and countless other bills and receipts dating from when the car first hit the road. The original build sheet is also present, as is the original stamped metal plate presented to the first owner with his personal details on.

I love M. Benz cars equipped with a mechanical gasoline fuel injection pump. I used to own one 30 years ago. Beautiful solid car to drive and low maintenance too. Thanks for posting, your car is beautiful!!!
