I was percussionist in the Underground Root Network in Leeds, but left before they debuted in the Duchess of York ( and later did some great Kareoke!) Anyway, this is one of my favourite tracks at the moment - Findlay has a great voice, great delivery of lines and a great sense timing (and I know all about timing). But this is the only great track I hear from them - why? There's so much potential here if a new lyrics writer could be brought in, who was more poetic, less repetitive, focused on the logical sequencing of ideas, and basically just getting more into each song Every song should be a complete story, like Up the Junction by Squeeze - when does that repeat itself? By repeating lines, choruses etc, it takes away from the total information you can get into a 3-4 minute song, which isn't long if you think about it. The reason I'm saying this is because there's potential for Janis Joplin level greatness with this singer.
