Running in the Sydney Marathon 2023

The Sydney Marathon is making its grand return to the stunning shores of Sydney on Sunday, 17 September 2023. This race is a Candidate Race for the prestigious Abbott World Marathon Majors, joining other major events like the Tokyo Marathon, Boston Marathon, London Marathon, Berlin Marathon, Chicago Marathon, and New York City Marathon. In 2023, the Sydney Marathon enters its second year of a multi-year evaluation process by AbbottWMM.
With over 40,000 enthusiastic runners participating in the Sydney Marathon and 17,000 individuals taking part in the main 42.195-kilometer event, it was truly an exceptional day. Despite the challenges posed by the scorching 30°C temperatures at noon, I want to extend my heartfelt appreciation to all the volunteers who supported the runners on that day.
Congratulations are in order for all the dedicated runners who gave their all on that epic day. I would also like to commend the volunteers, supporters, families, and friends who made this event a success. Together, we celebrated the spirit of Sydney.
