The ANZAC spirit is very much alive amongst young people in Australia especially in the last 20 years.

The vast majority of Australians cannot afford private schools, to think prestige or wealth has anything to do with being proud of a fellow Australian is absurd.
I do get your point, but prestige or wealth should not come into the picture when being proud of a fellow Australian, regardless of if they are a sportsperson, actor, scientist, student etc.

So again, sorry for that. I should of tried harder.

I don't think it is so much of British inheritance as Australia is so multicultural. Students are taught to behave well in public and respect the uniform they are representing. Although this was a private school, public school students would also behave in the same manner. One year our Polish relatives came to visit us in Australia and we took them to Cleland National Park. There was a primary school group and our rellies were impressed at how they lined up and waited for their turn, with no pushing and shoving. They said this would not happen in Poland as all the kids would want to be first.

Sydney Grammar You would have to be super wealthy. King Charles went to Geelong Grammar near Melbourne and it's mountain school in North East Victoria - Timber Top. He leaned to play the cello in Geelong because his music teacher told him that he sucked at piano. (Of course the teacher was more judicious in how he said it. No king or queen size piano for the future King)..

Good manners & right conduct begins at home. Good upbringing helps develop the values & skills needed to be good citizens & succeed in life. These involves respect, honesty & responsibility. When children & young adults learn to be respectful of others, they are less likely to engage in discord & bullying…

No, they don't. They do that because we are taught to respect MULTI CULTURES. And in fact, most of those boys did not look like they had purely English backgrounds lol. Maybe just good tans. The only reason we did not vote to become a republic many years ago is we did not want the model presented, not because we are enamoured with the Monarchy. How about you pause for am moment, do some real research and figure out how Irish and Convicts were treated here. Then tell us again how we respect the Poms.
