in my opinion, the show didn't die because marissa left. it died because they wasted so much time on pointless and stupid storylines towards the end (that french guy, and che became annoying). i don't think season 4 was awful, but i felt like i was watching a completely different show at times. i also thought the last episode was going to feel really special and i was expecting to cry a little bc i was so attached to the show but it was kinda underwhelming and i didn't realise it was actually the last episode until i checked.
I agree - it could have been saved even without Marissa. But it became forced and there were too many unlikeable characters. We were just coming to accept Taylor (hard enough) and now Che, Bullet, annoying ‘big’ (season 1 reference) characters everywhere. The heart of the show was gone.
This interview is a little weird, it's notable that the actors are uncomfortable and taking beware with the words, not even them know what say about Marissa's dead and the quite of Mischa from the series. Rachel looks tired and sad. Peter was a little bit like 'omfg i don't know what say, h4lp'... Ben same, melinda same... Ok bye

first of all oliver and marissa didnt even do anything.. and marissa was a r@pe survivor AND having to shoot someone to save ryan anything she did in s3 was a representation of that.
to honor someone else's character is to kill that character way ahead of time because that's how Josh S. the creator did to one of the lead cast and the result of that so called "honor"? die hard fans are a fan no more!!!

Wrong. Mischa's departure brought us the best couple. Ryan and Taylor.

Ryan and Taylor are the cutest couple on The OC. As much as it sucked they killed off Marissa, I'm kinda glad they did to bring us Raylor.
