What a wonderful podcast. Kami is awesome. And I love the 70's collectible lunchboxes, etc items on your set. And it's been decades since seeing Fritz doing his weathercast in L.A.
SO interesting. Kami is delightful. I am still pondering the Waltons vs Little House question. I like them both, but am definitely team Waltons. But why? I think at least partially because I loved Ralph Waite…what a sympathetic dad! And of course there were more kids in the family on the Waltons…I also think it’s interesting that these casts are doing fan events. And now I see that some of the Seventh Heaven kids are planning to do the same….hmnnnn.
I enjoyed this conversation with Kami Cotler. We watched the Waltons every Thursday night. Mom would cry and reminisce about the times when she was growing up in the 40s and 50s. She'd tell us stories about our great aunts and uncles that grew up during the depression. Little House on the Prairie was another tear jerker for my mom. She always felt she was born in the wrong century. Those shows meant a lot to Mom and us kids. It was time we spent together, and we'd learn a bit more from Mom about why or how they did something on the show. Her experiences growing up on Iowa farms with close family was what she truly missed as great aunts and uncles passed away.. Thank you for our family nights we shared watching great television and story telling. ❤
