@@ohmystars1774 i mean i always think that that story wise The Fates technically didnt need to be there, but it felt like they were because they wanted to lmao. like both them and hermes seems to be the only two gods that know how the story actually ends, and while Hermes absolutely despises whats to come, the fates are more like "it is what it is" and clowns on the others for thinking otherwise. it seems to be more obvious in doubt comes in when they basically voiced Oprheus doubts since they knew he was gonna turn around anyway so they just egged on him even more
I love how this is the first time the fates turn on a god. It shows that even Hades, the most powerful deity we see in the show, is not immune to the effects of fate and consequences
