I just discovered Sonata Arctica one week ago and already feel like I've known them for years. The music is so beautiful and heartfelt, I can't stop listening.
For a minute i put myself in your shoes and started to remember when i first listened to them around 2002 after "Silence" album was released when i was like 15 years old and they blew my mind.Their music were my company in bad and good times and are for sure one of the bands of my life. All good memories. I hope you discover all the different songs and sounds they have. In a way i envy you that you are going to listen so many great songs for the first time. I wish you the best.
That's unfortunate, u missed out on a lot of great moments. Jani was an essential part of SA that will never be replaced. Don't get me wrong, Elias is a great guitarist and nothing at all taken away from HIM, it's just sadly not the same and hasn't been the same since the departure of Jani.
Dude... You are going to have sooo much fun! Jealous! I would give a lot for being able to re-discover their music for the first time... AGAIN! Although I used to listen to way more traditional rock and heavy metal music from the 60's, 70's and 80's, I was huge Sonata Arctica fan back in the day, and to this day I love to listen to their music quite sometime. Songs like San Sebastian, Victoria's Secret, Flag In The Ground, PeaceMaker or White Pearl, Black Oceans always give me so much energy-boost! Enjoy you lucky bastard! :D

I miss them SO much! I used to see one of their live shows once per year since year 2000, but Coronavirus made it impossible in 2020. At least, we had this online show but it is not the same, of course. I hope they came to Spain this November as it is scheduled!

La verdad es que es un poco injusto, porque esta copia es mía. Yo pagué la entrada en su momento y lo grabé para compartirlo con todo el mundo. Just my opinion, but My Land should always be part of the live sets. Just as often as Full Moon. Great melancholic melody which is what makes Sonata great

I miss them SO much! I used to see one of their live shows once per year since year 2000, but Coronavirus made it impossible in 2020. At least, we had this online show but it is not the same, of course. I hope they came to Spain this November as it is scheduled!

Just my opinion, but My Land should always be part of the live sets. Just as often as Full Moon. Great melancholic melody which is what makes Sonata great
