9:50 - that switch from low to higher vocal register....beautiful voice. As far as I'm concerned, Tony is, by far, the best male singer in power metal and one of the best rock vocalists I have ever heard, period.

It's weird how good Liimatainen manages to sound with a clean electric guitar. The guy was a powerhouse of amazing tone back in the day. Maybe he still is.
It might not be the reason, but I don't know if they are able to travel that far with the acoustic gear...I know they weren't able to take the acoustic guitars with them for the North America tour this year.

Can't say what he's doing, but when I'm wanting an acoustic sound on my electric, I keep my sound clean with a good amount of reverb, and focus more on the low and mid tone knobs.

Middle pick, drive off, 6 gain, 10bass, 6 medium, 9 treble, tone 5 (change tone for more acute or low sonority accordingly to what you want).
At least that's how I do it
I use a boss gt 100 and it has an acoustic simulator, it sounds like an acoustic, a pedal is also sold separatelly

Tony's Mic is too loud in comparison with the guitar. If Tony's mic was a bit softer he'd be singing a bit better I think.
