If you put that sweet tater in a quart jar it will grow long vines, and leave it by the window at the sink you can grow a little in door jungle in the kitchen if you just suspend the vines up and around the window. Snook are one of my bucket list fish (although permit are absolute tops!) They look like they put up a great fight, but I never knew they were good table fare! Kelly and mom getting it done on those Snook. They are tough to get in the boat as we saw. They will wrap around a pier or dock and break off in a blink of an eye. I haven't tasted one because they are not in the slot or catch and release when I have caught them. I hope this year when I get to the Gulf in November is my chance to get a keeper!!! You and Gabe are the best by the way. Gabe is real and fearless(except for popsicle sticks) and you will try anything and have😏

Kelly, I am impressed and enspired by your abilities which seem to have no limits. You never cease to amaze me how you seem to effortlessly conquer skill after skill with such grace. That said, please, please use caution consuming raw seafood. Many contain parasites. While those parasites will not affect humans the same as the host animal they can cause serious illness. Immersing the meat in citrus juice (cerviche) will not kill the parasites! While not as "good" as fresh caught, freezing does kill parasites and thawed fish is safe to eat raw. Just want you and yours to stay healthy. Calm winds and following seas.

@BlueGabe having Kelly hunt a white tail in South Texas this hunting season would be a great hunt. Weather isn't unreasonable cold (usually) and Texas does have the largest white tails in the country.
My favorite way of preparing Snook... egg wash, then Zatarains southern style fish coating, drop in hot peanut oil until crispy and then thank God for the bounty of deliciousness

Oh yeah I freaking love my Hot Air Fryer, I make all kinds of stuff in it ..you wouldn’t believe the brown sugar bourbon burgers that I make in it. They come out so juicy inside and nice and browned on the outside..wonderful piece of kitchen equipment!

Grew up on Redfish, Trout and Snook caught around the TampaSota Bay area. It's been 14 years since I last had any of those to Snook. Used to love fried Snook strips and grilled Snook.

Those were some nice snook, and snapper Gabe caught awesome job you two. Only had snook once baked and it was really good, mangrove snapper has to be one of my favorites.
Use to love eating west coast South African snoek. We use to eat it with a fresh baked bread and apricot jam spread. Try that next time.
