They're very friendly happy dogs too. One can't help but be happy when a kelpie is around
So true m8 works all day comes home to the family and is delighted to be payed with lots of love and tucker
We have two working kelpies. They can run all day and are whip smart. Best dogs in the world!
Border collie…..
Agreed. Kelpies are the best!
@@boatsanhs9709not even close
@@markhill9275 had cattle bred border collies my whole life and they are the most loyal tough sweetest dogs I’ve ever been around. They do more work than 3 men on a cattle ranch and they will love you no matter what. They will latch on to you like nothing else matters. I don’t know what bad experience youve had with a border collie but let me tell you it was an outlier.
the record is now $49,000 Capree Stud from Newbridge south of Bathurst sold a 20-month-old kelpie for $49,000 at their sale on Thursday.
Holy moly!!
Jeez, how much are they in Australia then?
@@stevebull4578 Newbridge is in Aus. In New South Wales
We do kelpie rescue here on the west coast in the US. These dogs are probably the smartest breed on the planet.
They should be used more as Sniffer dogs
They should be used for a lot of things! Kelpies and Heelers are fantastically intelligent. @@Methylated_
U are an angel for rescuing any pups
wow I would like to talk to you.. I just adopted what looks to a mostly Kelpie puppy
@@mikebartoli4755 You very well could have!
He deserves so many belly rubs and treats after all that hard work 😊❤
Tic tac over the sheep.
Dude this dog is a ninja.
Wow!!! So well trained, def worth the money!!
What a talented and awesome animal!
Hes got some speed!
Wow, look at him walking over the sheep 😂😂😂
Love the kelpies, they are the most beautiful dogs ever! ❤🎉🙌🏼🙌🏼🙏🏼❤️🤩
I recently saw a retired Kelpie and it’s Owen would take a motor bike around the property each day the funny thing about it was the kelpie wasn’t the one chasing the motorbike.
I have a Kelpie (adopted from a kennel) and she definitely wants to herd.
I have 2 in Sydney suburbia and all they do is try and round up the dogs at the local dog park, Amazing how much their instinct is ingrained in their DNA
U are a legend for adopting one from a shelter U now have a devoted companion for life
Best boy
That's what you call a amazing dog! 👏🏽
He's saying "get in there, I'll freaking bite you"
Amazing dog. Look how he works sheep as well as cattle, also in yards and paddock, totally infallible, worth his weight in gold
I truly believe that Kelpies are THE smartest breed of dog on the planet!!
beautiful to behold these masters in action
Who's here because of 'The Fall Guy' and the dog that was featured in the movie? Jean-Claude was my favorite part of the movie. Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt were amazing.
Dude gets paid 100k a month
Y’all realize the Australian Kelpie (in pinned comment) and Australian Cattle Dog (in post) are totally different breeds and have radically different styles of managing and moving stock....surely!?!
Yes.
Oh really thanks for letting us know, apart from there totally different appearance I would never have known
💯 true
@@TheThetechnician is that sarcasm I see here haha it's hard to tell sometimes specially when it's just words
I am going to adopt a 2 year old male kelpie today.😊
WOW What a dog
Beautiful dog but I don’t think he holds the record any longer.
In the US, a Hangin Tree Cowdog went for $38,500 at auction a couple years ago!
Alternate title of video: The Magic of Eulooka Hoover
worth every penny
Beautiful
I have 2 kelpies that sit on the couch all day
Yep that can make awsome couch potatoes for sure
How much did they cost?
@@stevebull4578paid $700 for my first female and $600 a year later for my second female
@@shawsie5780god imagine paying for that dude go and adopt one im sure theres many out there
I doono if anyone is aware, this dog passed away not long after he went to his new home, as far as I know an electric fence was responsible
Wow the poor pup
And half the price of a paid farmhand and way more loyal I'm sorry to read he passed away 😢
Looks like the rancher is getting their money worth.
Higher prices for stock dogs in us... Texas and California
Awesome
Incredible dog breed, I had one when living in Mangrove Mountain Central Coast NSW, Australia, such an intelligent breed
:o so very fast!!!
So, how much is the dog?
It"s a kelpie, not a cattle dog. Different breed.
yeah it's just a video mate.
Wow... 🤩❤🔥
That’s not the most expensive cattle dog tho.
Does that price of $35,200 include military and PPD dogs when competing for the "Most expensive working dog in the world" title?
One just sold for 45,000 hahaha

"Sheep worrying" is a criminal offence in the UK.
And a lifestyle choice in Wales.......allegedly....... ^.^
@@stevemac6707 It's not really a choice though, is it?
Well it is really, you don't want to just pick the first sheep you see, you have to look for the pretty ones then decide......
Working dogs are trained not to bite & cause much less stress than machinery especially helicopters that are used in the outback.
Red Dog
Loads of dog-nappers liking this video.
World's most expensive working dog? Clearly you've never heard how much your average guide dog or assistance dog is worth ( which thankfully are usually given to their disabled recipient for little to no money). Most are worth about $30-60,000
That is an assistant dog not a working dog
That cost is mostly attributed to training cost. The dogs themselves go for $4000 and up. My neighbour breeds guide dogs.
In outback Australia you can have multiple people on motorbikes or horses herding or 1-2 kelpie’s, do your numbers and these dogs are worth far more than you think
their cost has nothing to do with breed but the training
Clearly you have misunderstood what what people classify as a working dog
Reminds me of Trump and his followers these days.
wow its so cool to traumatise sheep
The sheep aren't traumatised, Kelpies are the kindest dogs you'll find.
Animal abuse in action. Are we supposed to be happy about any of this?
?????
are you for real? or just a troll
And there's the typical uneducated rant of the lefty Guardian reader who has no idea how the world works, because their parents were failures at raising children.
?
Troll in action. Are we supposed to happy about this?
