    Good choice on going with the dustless blasting. Not only did it make better use of your resources (time, money, materials). It will net a higher quality job. No doubt those choices net you more unique work. Thanks for taking the time to bring us along.

    Nice! I love the look of these old vans. I’m glad to see they got someone so talented to work on it I’d hate to see the van get destroyed by someone that don’t know what they are doing, just don’t see many of them anymore at least not on the road. Thanks again on another cool build for me to binge watch.

      I agree, too many of the steel vans rusted away and the aluminum ones were scrapped for cash

    I'm enjoying the trophy truck build (next episode?), but I like this short-form-video project as well. I am surprised your subs aren't going up much faster. Keep it up.

      Thanks for the comment, I had to install a FITECH fuel injection conversion this week which is delaying the trophy truck. Will probably do a video next Sat on the fuel injection conversion and the following Sat should be trophy truck followed by episode 2 of the Van conversion. At least thats the plan right now. Next trophy truck vid should be pulling motor and trans and doing a J-mod to the trans and resealing the motor along with new plugs and designing the new intake. Should be a fun one.

    I just finished the trophy truck playlist so it’s funny to see it in the background half built lol.

    looking forward to watching this series. How much did it cost for the paint removal?

    • @AustinCoulson
      @AustinCoulson  5 лет назад

      1000$, I started off by trying to sand it, but after seeing how thick the paint was, I calculated it would take me 2 weeks and almost 500$ in sandpaper so that made the choice easy

      @@AustinCoulson Thanks, I live in Texas and have an old aluminum camper than needs to be stripped. I tried to sand blast it but it is taking forever.

    • @AustinCoulson
      @AustinCoulson  5 лет назад

      @@JoeB-pv8su well you can see how big Gil's equipment is and it still took him 6+ hours of blasting. I am expecting the pitting from sand blasting will make the polishing extra laborious, but we will see. Are you planning on polishing the trailer or leaving it raw?

    9:00 Do you really need that door? More wall space would be better. JAT

    • @AustinCoulson
      @AustinCoulson  5 лет назад

      I suppose they don't need the door, but there is no driver door (single or dual sliding doors were an option on them) so they would have to enter and exit from the rear and there is no step down, just a diamond plate bumper.
