I like Brad's enthusiasm, but have to give it to Jeremy. Lots of information delivered smoothly with confidence. Sales guy for the win in this one.
I'm going to have to go with Jeremy. They both did a great job on explaining the purpose of the importance of a FASS fuel system for your vehicle, especially since I've been hesitant on purchasing one. I've always been interested in the FASS system compared to its competitors but what's been holding me back was the dedicated filters only for the FASS pump. Since I do travel a lot cross country with my family, I didn't want to be stuck out there if something was to happen with the filters. But when Jeremy mentioned about the criss reference to the filters, especially the CAT since I currently have it on my 2011 Chevy Silverado Duramax 2500 I won't feel abandoned out there. Thanks for the clarification..
Jeremy for sure, he was not afraid to say the system accepts other filters, now I know I can grab a filter to get home if For some reason I dont have one in my toolbox and replace it with the higher performance filter when i get home. He gave me the "your not stranded" feeling. Now I can buy the system no worries. Since I need it.
He does a great job for sure, and we really appreciate the feedback! If you have any other questions or need anything at all you are more than welcome to reach out to us anytime!
I’m gonna give it to Brad. Jeremy did well also but he sounded like he rehearsed what he was gonna say for a sales pitch. I like straight forward and to the point. Also liked how Brad kept it straight to the point.
Thanks for the kind words!
Brad was good and informative but. Jeremy has my vote. Some people say he sound rehearsed but he was fluent and the sales. Shows he knows the product!
Jeremy nailed it, scheduled to get a fass lift pump system put on my LML DURAMAX in July thanks for making a great quality product 👍
Thanks for the support!
Jeremy explained it well and clear. lol this is great. Keep it fun!
Brad has a very professional sales presentation. Jeremy did really well. Both get to the point. The point is the product. The product is the best on the market. I have a titan series because of it. There’s 2 different styles of presentation both work. FASS sells more than 1 pump! The point is buy FASS pumps and filters or you can thank the shop that just put your truck back together at $135 an hour! Plus parts and injectors are around 3000 parts and labor. So just enjoy your new pump and filers like I am and relax knowing no matter where you go and what you pull, you can go slow or really really FASS!
So I’m giving my vote to Brad because.... “capitalism”! If you make the best product, you’ll get my money. He’s not just selling his product, it’s his reputation and integrity. 👍🏻🇺🇸
Brad definitely killed it :) I'm running Fass in my 2001 cummins
Thanks for the support!
I have to give it to Brad he did a great job!
The sales guy did just that, a sales pitch with numbers and statistics of the product, which some people prefer. The owner is a realist and said it in words and a way that the normal working blue collar guys will understand and appreciate! So both men did a great job and covered different types of consumers that are interested in buying there product. Personally I’d go with the owner 💪🏻🤙🏻
I'd say the winner is the one Running Fass filters on his truck... Both did pretty good! Just ordered a new set of Fass filters today.
Thanks for the kind words, Kyle!
Founder & Top sales man with the honesty both were great! I like the sales mans pitch because it he goes more in depth and shows and nice visuals. Bottom line being this company wants satisfied customers. When the salesman talks about saving money instead of buying his filters and going with Baldwin. Make you feel like his take on the video was about meeting the needs of the customers not the sales. Which makes me want to buy a FASS system right now for my truck!
Jermey nailed it. But i Had nothing but problems with my fass. Very well done
We appreciate that! Also, I do greatly apologize for the issues you were having with the FASS. If you are still having trouble, or need anything at all you are more than welcome to reach out to our service team anytime! Our number is 636-433-5410.
i liked brads explanation, and then Jeremy said it a different way that i liked as well. i’m really inbetween running a FASS vs an air dog. my biggest concern is the inability to adjust fuel pressure with the fass. at the end of the day they both have the ease of changing a filter on the unit, and if you’re guys filter is that much better, then i don’t see why the unit itself wouldn’t work just fine.
Thanks for the feedback! And definitely give us a call at 636-433-5410 for more information on adjusting pressure with FASS.
Jeremy, gave more information on how the water separator filter worked and on how it hold on to the water and not let it sink. This is why I went with a fass 165 for my lml, my cp4 is happy 230,595 miles on it and going strong!!!Great work guys!!💪 American made 🇺🇸🇺🇲
We love hearing feedback like that!
It’s not about water it’s about lubricant. The cp4 was not designed for American fuel it was developed for another country’s fuel. Get that POS switched out for a good cp3 or make sure you are using Hot Shots LX4
@@Aaronelliott847 yes sir I order a 12mm cp3 from industry injection
I think they both did good. Always nice to have more than one point of view.
I’m just trying to find a spot I can put one on my Jetta TDI, since I already got em on everything else. 😂
Give us a call if we can answer any questions!
I like Jeremy's presentation I got a fass 100 on my 16 duramax
Thanks for the support!
Jeremy won hands-down. His explanation comparing coalescing and the Foss water trapping system was clear and concise. What wasn’t explained when referring to both systems will leaving you stranded on the side of the road was the explanation. My question is: does the FASs system stop fuel flowing and therefore leaving you stranded ? I bought my system for my 2006 Duramax back when it was 95 gallons rating. For the first few years it held a steady 10 psi and now when the engine warms up it drops to 8 psi. I’ve been told by FASs not to worry. I’ve bought the cat filters for my Fass but after watching this video I will put them on eBay.
Yes the water filter will stop the flow or plug it popping the fuse...then you know something is wrong. Carry spare 10a fuses and spare filters. Ideally you have a fuel pressure guage. You can see the pressure dropping as it gets full.
Jeremy gets my vote.
Jeremy explains better what the filters are actually doing. I’m a technical type of guy so that makes more sense then our filter are better… because we say so speech.
I still like to have a glass water separater with a drain cock so I can check for and drain accumulated water. Nothing against filters, I use both.
We completely understand that sir!
Have to give it Jeremy!
I'm a year late on the comment 🙃 however I've used both the FASS and Airdog with their own filters and I've noticed the FASS filters are bigger than the Airdog filters. I had no issues with FASS what so ever and this was on the infamous LB7, I'm using the Airdog II 165 on the monster LML and I'm currently throwing a p0087 code "change fuel filter" and these haven't been on the truck for more than 10,000 miles. In my opinion the FASS filters are extremely effective and I never had a lag in power even after lingering with them on a little to long and no change in performance after the new filters were applied💪. Both gentlemen had an honest approach to the performance of the FASS filters and for me it's a draw because honesty is policy. Thank you for what you do for the diesel community 🙏....
We really appreciate the feedback Scott! Thank you for all the support 👊
Ok. I have so many questions about this filter. I run all my fuel through my auxiliary tank before dumping into the main tank. From the auxiliary tank it goes to the baldwin 1212 to strip water, then to a zinga aquazorb water absorbing filter, then through a normally closed solenoid, then through the fuel pump, and finally a donaldson 2 micron filter. I suck the fuel through the baldwin and aquazorb filters which filters also for the solenoid. I then push the fuel on into the final 2 micron filter. In my opinion i prefer to attempt to remove water right before a pump so as to not further emulsify it right before trying to strip/absorb it. Then the fuel sees the trucks tank and all factory filtration that a 2015 cummins has stock.
I went this route because i found it was likely illegal for a filter to be placed between the tank and motor that could fully clog and block flow causing a loss of power on the road.
If the fass filter sees a slug of water will flow of fuel to the motor be cut? Do you have a bypass in place to allow the operator to safely exit the freeway? If fuel is bypassing possibly through your filter base how would you know you were in bypass and that you need a new filter? I think the Dept of Transportation wants fuel to be available even if it is unfiltered so as to not cause a engine to simply cut off. But, i am not sure and just wondering. This is why i have been told over and over a filter that fully absorbs water and that could block flow of fuel is illegal in this position without a bypass or the ability to supply even contaminated fuel. A safety issue. Even bad water contaminated fuel is better than suddenly no fuel.
And, without a drain to visually inspect the fuel filters water capacity how would you know if your filter was almost completely plugged with water. I have seen filters plug with one tank of bad/water contaminated fuel. And without a way to inspect you would simply be guessing as to condition and this could be catastrophic and impact safety.
I am a fan of FASS. Ran them on past trucks. I am just wondering what is going on here with the current filters and if this setup is even legal.
My current set up is all homemade.

I gonna have to give it to Brad, no bs straight to the point. Not that Jeremy was giving bs both were informative. That’s why I am running fass 165 on my stock 06 Cummins, best filtration on the market in my opinion.
Thanks for the support, Joel!

I have a FASS system on a LB7 that is 7 years old and a newer system on my LLY and will only use FASS systems on my diesel trucks. I just bought another LB7 that will have a FASS system soon. I don't have negative things to say about the new system besides filters don't last as long. It all depends on fuel quality and now days fuel quality is a joke. Fact is the quicker you go through a filter the more it's saving your truck spend the cash and Just hold spares in the truck and be good to go
We appreciate all the support Joey! Thank you!
Brad has a better presentation, his explaining is simple and is better in math!!!
I’m gonna have to go with Jeremy
Sales guy had the better pitch and I was more convinced and informed.
Jeremy is great at the explanations!
Jeremy, 99.6% BLOCKED and LOCKED!!!! 😎 O yeah.
Gotta give it to Brad on this one. Both him and Jeremy did a great job, but Brad makes it a little more direct and less rehearsed.
Thanks for the kind words!
I'm going with the BOSS, FOLLOW THE MONEY !!!!
👊👊
Team Jeremy!!!
He explains what happens after the other filters fill up, but not the Fass. Any explanation for what happens to the water when the Fass is at 100% capacity?
Great question! While older-style drainable filters will simply allow water to pass through to your engine once full, FASS filters will actually restrict flow to the point of shutting the engine down.
Simply put, completely filling older filters can mean replacing injection components. By comparison, a full FASS filter means you simply need to replace the filter-no water ever reaches your engine!
Has the new water separating filter filter caused any issues in cold weather applications? The old filter you could altleast drain the water it did catch. New system seems like it will lock it in place then freeze. Would it be a good idea to run old drain style filter in winter and new filter in above freezing temperature weather?
Hey there, thank you for reaching out! We completely understand where you are coming from, and will be happy to help.
With the new filters yes they do trap the water instead of letting it drain out, but we haven't heard of anyone having issues with this in the colder weather.
One thing that will help, and we would also suggest adding to the system depending on where you are in the country is a heater kit.
fassride.com/shop/product-category/accessories/electric-heater-kits/
I like the second vid better. But it sounds to me like having a filter with a drain to catch the bulk and your new filter after it would be the best setup. How often should you replace the fuel filters? How do you know if it's going bad? I live in a area with allot of rain.
Hey there, this would actually be a great question for our service team sir. They are here from 7-7cst, and the number is 1-866-769-3747.
20-30k mi depending on the quality of fuel. A fuel pressure guage essentially shows the health of filters. As it fills the pressure drops cuz flow drops.
Jeremy did a much better job and delivering the information. Yes it was a little more scripted, but that’s ok, it’s his job!
sorry but the sales pitch at 7:15 has me sold..sales guy wins! Im running Donaldsons on my 290 right now but I'm going to order from you next!

Jeremy hands down. I like Brad but Jeremy did a better job regarding the details. Great products made in the USA!!! ....High quality products are the BOMB......GO FASS
We really appreciate that! Thank you!
Well, Jeremy did a better job of explaining. Certainly rehearsed, but that’s the job. However, Brad should take it as a win because he, as a leader, has clearly put a capable person in Jeremy in charge of sales. As a leader, you can’t be the best at every job, but to be successful you surround yourself with people who can be the best at their job.
I’m running a FASS lift pump on my gmc lml, I appreciate the quality and I appreciate a company that stands behind their equipment, well, because capitalism. God Bless the USA.
Thanks for the feedback, Chris! We sincerely appreciate your support.
Gotta give it to the sales pro. Smooth and informative.
Technical question though. If you have a near 100% water barrier and no drain, where does the trapped water go?
Thanks for the feedback! And that's a great question. Where a drainable filter will actually allow water to pass through once full, our filters will actually shut fuel flow down. While that will momentarily disable your truck, you'll save thousands in injection system repairs. All you have to do is swap in a new filter!
@@FASSFuelSystems How much water does it have to have it before it no longer allows any fuel to pass through it??
@@garygreco3769 This is an awesome question man! The life of the filter has many variables that affect the life of it. If you have any questions please email techsupport@fassride.com we will be happy to help!
@@FASSFuelSystems So you are stranded on the side of the road,or worse on the road, until you are towed to a shop and they diagnose fuel filter full of water, and replace them ...hmm
@@garygreco3769 While our filters will shut your truck off if they become completely waterlogged, the older style filters, like those used on competitor's systems, will allow the water to reach your injection system, ultimately forcing you to pull over anyway.
The difference is, you can simply swap fresh filters onto ours, and you're back on the road. If a component of your injection system would fail, the repair would be FAR more time-intensive and costly.
We hope this helps!
Does fass offer a filter with larger microns for winter use ,even with the heater and additives my pump won't pump the fuel when it gets 20 below and blows the fuse if I put a oil pan heater on the filters before starting I do fine it seems in cold winter conditions a larger micron would be the awnser

I have the FASS Signature 140 gal on my 6.0 Powerstroke. Thought my filters have a good bit of life to them as they were changed not to long ago. However, the truck is starting to make a lugging sound at low rpm’s but no codes. Could that be the filters might’ve gotten water in them and need to be changed?
Hey Jason, thank you for reaching out. Great question and that is a possibility for sure. A lot of times it's from watered-down fuel at the gas station that causes the issue. Whenever it's convenient for you please reach out to our service team, they will be happy to help get this diagnosed! Our number is 636-433-5410.
I have a Faas Fuel System on my 08 Cummins 6.7L and I live in Canada. I do add fuel conditioner when I fill up but I would assume it would be a good thing to change them every oil changes just so they do not blow up when we hit - 30°C ? Lol!
That's just wild how cold it gets there! As long as you are comfortable changing filters that often that is totally fine. Our spec for changing filters is 20-30k miles or one year whichever comes first.
Let the boss run the company, let the salesman sell.
Feedback is much appreciated!
I personally appreciate seeing an owner deeply involved, helps him actually know whats going on.
When should I take off my extreme water separater and buy another/new one
Hey there, great question! We suggest the replacement of the filters every 20-30k miles. Depending on driving conditions.
Is there a way to show how much water contamination you have currently in the filter? I live in Wisconsin and part of the reason ive ran the old screw filter is unless you have multiple spares when it gets to freezing temps you’ll be stranded on the side of the road because your filter froze. Too bad you couldnt make a filter with a color changing indicator or something along that line either way great video.
Hey there, thank you for reaching out! One way to tell before the filter gets full is the pump unit itself will start getting a little louder as it has to work harder to pull fuel through the filter.
We completely understand where you're coming from though! The last thing we want is for our customers to be on the side of the road.
If you have any other questions, or if anything comes up you are more than welcome to reach out to us at 636-433-5410. Thank you!
Get a fuel pressure guage and it helps. To see what's going on.
Get the filter disk heater and heater probes, wire it to a switch after the IGN feed. I have 2, 1 is a red LED and controls the heat, 2nd is green LED and controls pump. Turn pump off, turn ign on to fire heaters for a bit. With a temp sensor and gauge you can monitor it. After heating, flip pump switch and watch fuel pressure on your guage. The heat can thaw it completely.
If you really need extra heat, connect the coolant ports.
How often do you change the water separation filter?thks
Hey Peter! Our sincere apologies for the delayed reply. We recommend every 20,000-30,000 miles, or 1x per year if driven less.
I liked both of them I like to hear different opinions about the product.. I use Baldwin filter on my fass because I want red filters to go with my truck. Hey fass can you provide different colors for your filters. Thanks
Thanks for the feedback! And we are definitely looking at options.
A vinyl wrap?

I have a 3 year old Titanium 95 and would like to have a water drain like the older systems had. I work in the oilfield and frequently using fuel from slip tanks etc. I need to be able to drain the water regularly rather than millions of dollars replacing filters. Which filters should I use then?

I want to see a display between fass and Airdog. I run fass and have for years and would love to see a video of some sort showing how your filters destroy airdog filters. I get so angry when airdog talks crap about fass when we all know fass makes a Better pump and filters but make a video to prove it. Also different filter color options would be pretty cool.

What is the intervals change on filters?
Hey Emersson! The filters should last up to 30k miles!
Brad has me about to order another fass & i already have 1.. #straightshooter
Appreciate that! Thank you so much!
So FASS filter stops water. Got it. Now eventually the filter get saturated with water, correct? How often does the filter need to be changed, drained? What happens at max saturation?
Typically we suggest changing the filters every 20-25k miles or 1yr whichever comes first.
If the filter reaches max saturation it will actually cause a restriction to the FASS and pop a fuse to stop water from entering the injection system. We actually made a video showing an extreme case in which this happens. ruclips.net/video/3pYIyIvj5Y4/видео.html

I have to give it to Jeremy! Sorry Brad...
how does this filter work in the cold? figuring a drain would allow it (if it worked properly anyway) to be drained not allowing it to freeze enough water to rupture? excuse my incompetency
ill assume they rupture then.
There's little chance of a rupture since it can't fill enough to freeze and expand to rupture.
The filters with a drain don't filter enough water and if it fills the water passes through it
Have to go with Jeremy on that one. He just went a little deeper and the cross-referencing info clinched it.
