In my instructions it says to trim the elevators at 5 degrees before flight. it was in the instructions. It was a little peace of paper. I think you missed that
4:04 I used the wrong term. Immelmann is a roll out at top of a loop, which this aircraft can do. I meant stall turns, or hammerhead. Anything that requires a rudder for the maneuver.
The best thing I do with f-35 and the e-flite f-15 is extend the wings 3 in on each side It helps a lot with stability and it's very easy to add a rudder just get a small servo cut a spot for it in one rudder And then use a ball link on both rudders white performance is amazing
Well you could always bungee cord launch. I have a stinger 64 that I installed a small wood block and a 1/8 steel rode cut to lengthy and bent back toward the rear. Weigh the jet then stretch then bungee to the same weight x 2.
I have this jet as well. I have around 30 flights on it now. It is very underpowered, you need a lot of runway to get it in the air. I would also recommend only flying on very low wind days, like less than 5mph or 10kph days. EDF's are not like prop planes, prop planes push their own wind over the control surfaces, EDF's, don't have that luxury. Also when you pull up, you disturb the wind into the duct which reduces the power, so you need the speed before you takeoff or you'll just stall... I am planning on putting in a 6 channel receiver and testing out a flaperon setup so it will takeoff and land with less runway...
WRONG! I have three, F20, F22 and a Stinger in the 64mm line, they fly way better in 5 to 10mph winds, its almost like a glider. Launch them INTO the wind at full throttle in low rates for aileron and high rate for elevator, the plane must fill its coming off your hand before the launch, and let w an easy toss, dont throw it.
It stuggles to take off cos of the lack of power not because its an edf. All my edfs pop up from grass very well. All my 64mm are 4s and I just hand throw them without gear on
When I launch my 62 mm Freewing F-105, I throw it as hard as I possibly can straight up. These EDF's develop power more slowly and lack the torque that we are used to with prop planes.
Thanks for showing that plane . I even purchased the f-35 lighting v2 70mm and it was very under power from grass take off. 3 tries I distoyed it. Waste $410 dollars. Did not want to repair it. Ended in the trash can.😂 9:56
Great video N. I just love to see the truth about the birds. Oh yeah... But like I always say: I dont mind the crash as long as we got it on the camera ;) So thanks for posting this great video and greetings from Slovenia, Pilot Robert
I have this EDF, and with very little compression past the fan, it takes a bit for it to get on step. Our club runway is 300ft, and it uses 200 of it. But once it does get up, it's a dream to fly...extremely docile, and lands great. But one little hint...as narrow as the landing gear is, reduce the nose wheel travel to 10%, or you'll be scraping the wings off. And tape the wing tips to save them from ugly scrapes.
Cautionary tale. My front wheel doesn't freely spin. Going to do something about it and fly 4S. When I hand launch my Freewing F-8 (also 64mm), I throw it like it's a grenade and get it as far away from me as possible. I was hoping this would leap up off the parking lot.
Dude, V2 is w a 4S, not a 3S... if anything a 4S 1800mah, not the 2200mah. That must have been a typo, the 3S details on the box. My F22 Raptor is the same way, 4S only minimum 40C battery.
I really wish this hadn't been a FAIL, as I had high hopes for a good first flight on camera. I will make a future video about EPO foam repairs and getting this jet flying. Be sure to Subscribe, and click the Bell to be notified when I upload! Thanks.
So CLOSE! Technically it did fly.. it took off and landed better than the hand launch. I recall reading it had enough power in v2 for hand launch, that's why I was OK to try it. Hand launch off a cliff maybe.. needs a lot of speed.
The same thing happened to me. I bought the 50mm F22 from banana hobby and couldn't get it to fly. No power. What did you end up doing with this jet? Did you get it to fly? This was my first EDF so I didn't know what to do after that bad experience.
thanks for posting. some thoughts. they are so pretty, fresh outta the box. some of these f35's seem to need a longer runway than others. pavement too rough? cg farther aft, for rolling take off? cheers
+David Davids very pretty plane. Wish it had a bit more power for shorter takeoff, or maybe my CG was off. Repairs almost done, it still looks OK too. I'll post a follow up video later about it
some thoughts. can you find some smoother asphalt. its pretty clear the model never reached take-off speed. wot, for take-off and plenty of smooth runway. cheers
Could you get it to fly? And if so how? I would be very thankful if you would make a part 3 of this ( maybe it is out there and I just missed it). But great video even without success, this video might save may plane if I am buying such a plane. And after all can you recommend this f-35?
Mantis 04 no part 3 at this time. I hope to revisit it in 2018. I was not able to get it to do a full flight yet. But I also didn’t take it to a long runway area. It will fly, just needs a lot of runway. If you don’t have that, don’t buy an EDF. Lesson learned by me.
Oh man, that’s so sad. Sorry to see but your angle of attack is off. The front wheel needs to be higher and also your CG might be off. Move your battery back. I have the same jet and I probably have about 50 or 60 flights on it.
It's an EDF. Those planes, like warbirds, need a lot of room for their take-off/roll-out. I would've thought that your decades of experience would've taught you that. The fact that you kept launching it into the grass and the curb after seeing that you didn't have the right conditions to launch that plane just tells me that you were trashing this plane on purpose. I couldn't finish your video...
What a tragedy to see the beauty plane crash before airborne this really the 1st sad beginning story I ever seen..maybe you need a longer and proper runway though...good luck for the next time. 👌👌
The second i heard no rudder i was like uhhhhhh...... I've flown an rc jet with no rudder (major malfunction) and it was not enjoyable trying to get it down quickly
Yep. Company obviously can't work out a simple solution. Needs More lift from wing. Ya can't get a kg into the air with a bad wing contour. I build my own flying models and learned early not to just scale down every thing eheheh. Our rc problem is mass. Our models are relatively small and all the stuff we put in them is heavy, so have to do the lift ,weight, power math.
Not likely, but I'm planning a subscriber giveaway contest in the future and the luctan will be one of the prizes. May be awhile though, I'm targeting 2K and 5K subs for the giveaways.
joder para que te compras un avion asi de guapo si no tienes ni puta idea de usar un entrenador macho!! vaya rabia ver un review de esta calidad aprende primero!!
Number one why are you trying to take off in a freaking parking lot you know it's going to take more runway than that this ain't no problem driven plane it's a fan driven induction jet it's not an actual jet
In my instructions it says to trim the elevators at 5 degrees before flight. it was in the instructions. It was a little peace of paper. I think you missed that
After watching your struggle, I am going to purchase the F-15 instead . If that happened to me, I would be so devastated. Great video !

I fly in South Korea and this jet is perfect for me! Also your review was so detailed! Looking forward to getting his beautiful bird!! Thank you! :)
Can you show me how about remote setting?
Is the way he threw it an check the cg align the steering wheel an find a bigger space run it to fly always fly against the wind
Well you could always bungee cord launch. I have a stinger 64 that I installed a small wood block and a 1/8 steel rode cut to lengthy and bent back toward the rear. Weigh the jet then stretch then bungee to the same weight x 2.
I have successfully binded the aircraft with the ttx600 transmitter and reciever however 8 have everything but aileron control, what did I miss?

Thanks to show that video I was going to bay a fms f-35 jet. But it is under power
Its a 4s u do know that right the v2s are 4s

Thats why u make ur own out of even worse quality and throw it in da bin
omg my heart dropped when your maiden flight didn'ttake off! XD But glad it's flying!
you said that you need to have experience this is my first rc plane and it is so easy
Great video N. I just love to see the truth about the birds. Oh yeah... But like I always say: I dont mind the crash as long as we got it on the camera ;) So thanks for posting this great video and greetings from Slovenia, Pilot Robert
I have the same plane on a 4s it flys great!
Neutral elevator has to have more up trim.

Fan jets are the hardest to Fly suggestion try a flight simulator, first. A good one then try.
Can you please reply a link on what to buy to be able to use it I've had it in the box for 5 months
im new to this never had a rc airplane i only get prebuilt rc cars so this should be challaging but nice

Wow that sucks (for me). I will try 4S after some repairs.

Very nice jet! You almost made it with the first flight. Perhaps not enough power for hand launch. Like.

Are you flying in Edmonton? Yeah it definitely need a rudder to compensate torque roll.

What all do u have to buy to make it fly?
thats what happens when you use a 3s instead of a 4s
NO TIENE NIDEA DE VOLAR YO TENGO UNO Y VUELA MUY MUY BIEN
צודק 100%
Why doesn’t it have a thrust tube? If had one I imagine it would probably have plenty of thrust to get you off the ground from a roll.
Wow....bad experience capt, next you have can flight
Its "Kay-Vee" not"kiloVolt". It means 1000 rpm per volt
Brutal throws 😆
why are you flying it towards a kerb on a maiden flight in a carpark????
thanks for posting. some thoughts. they are so pretty, fresh outta the box. some of these f35's seem to need a longer runway than others. pavement too rough? cg farther aft, for rolling take off? cheers

Don’t ever touch a scale model plane again
i wouldnt give one painted sheep to you two to play with, you would probably destroy it as well.
Oh man, that’s so sad. Sorry to see but your angle of attack is off. The front wheel needs to be higher and also your CG might be off. Move your battery back. I have the same jet and I probably have about 50 or 60 flights on it.
I have this plane but the throttle only goes to full not less and I crashed because of this on the first try. broke it on second lol
buy some vstol /vtol rc then well i thought this f-35 is a vtol
The f35 B is a STVOL (short vertical tank-off)

You should use Futaba radio. ☺️
64導風扇很爛,建議用70的,而且一定要4s,2200電池,不然推力不太夠。
Yeh more up trim on EL and CG a bit further back
What a tragedy to see the beauty plane crash before airborne this really the 1st sad beginning story I ever seen..maybe you need a longer and proper runway though...good luck for the next time. 👌👌
Brute force RC ??
Price please
Jeez Luiz was tuff to watch

not a member or a flying club or not much experience by the looks of this video.
Man, that sucks!
I don’t really understand why they make those beutiful Jets like F-35 and F-22 rc Jets not power full enough for hand launch. What a waste of money
Honestly NOT IMPRESSED With most FMS Models compared to Freewing, EFLITE.
That hand launch was trash!! You really gotta throw it with your full arm, and point it up to the sky more 😁
Noooo, use a 4s on these planes!
Now we know why someone returned it. It wouldn't fly.
F in the chat
Didn't understand anything.........
More videos luctan s912
Not likely, but I'm planning a subscriber giveaway contest in the future and the luctan will be one of the prizes. May be awhile though, I'm targeting 2K and 5K subs for the giveaways.
I fpv'd mine 😎
EPIC

You said not for beginners lol you must be beginner
אתה חייב לצבור יותר ידע תעופתי לפני שאתה מטיס f-35 לא קופצים ישר ליהלום!
i had no idea that there are gay dudes who also like RC
Number one why are you trying to take off in a freaking parking lot you know it's going to take more runway than that this ain't no problem driven plane it's a fan driven induction jet it's not an actual jet
I am not buying this plane, LOL
Learn the basics first !

What a piece of garbage. Yo weack it is not power full. Thanks to demostrare how it perform. I was going to buy one but not any more. Too under power
