Don't worry about video length, The Warning Army will show up for a RUclips Live event and watch the 2 hour Teatro Metropolitan or Lunario CDMX concerts with you. So a twenty minute documentary, no problem. Doesn't matter that most of us have seen it dozens of times.

Ale is content letting her sisters do all the taking. But when they are not on camera or in public they say she is very talkative. Depends on her level of comfort. She is always quick to correct her sisters when they make a mistake, though.
Regarding their line-ups. They headlined several shows in two separate tours. The opening band for one was Hero The Band. The more recent one was Plush. They have opened for a single show for Mammoth VH, Foo Fighters, & Stone Temple Pilots, a summer and fall tour for Halestorm & Pretty Reckless, and a late fall early winter tour of Canada with Three Days Grace. More recently they toured in Mexico and Europe opening for Muse and Royal Blood.

That's a really interesting observation about having never faced a tough audience! I agree completely...interesting. The flip side I guess some might say they have, being girls and young women in rock...I don't personally buy that, but its there nonetheless.

    • @Hans_Reese
      @Hans_Reese 7 месяцев назад +3

My previous reply got removed, I assume because I included a direct link to < Corona Hell & Heaven Festival 2018 >. It is on their own channel.
They talked about it in one of their vlogs. They were invited to a well known heavy metal festival, and were scheduled mid-day. In the beginning there are only a few curious metalheads watching them, like "What are these girls doing here?" As Pau tells it, they were afraid the audience might start throwing stuff at them, and they were checking how to make a run for it, if they were being chased off the podium. Then, when they start playing, the field in front of them slowly starts filling up. By the end of the first song the field is completely filled up, and arms go up as far as the camera can see, even beyond the fence of their area.
That audience, at that festival, when they were still very young, and nobody knew them, well, I would call it tough. I'm not sure how I would have handled it.

Nice Reaction! Mayday in the making is also very informative. It comes in 6 parts and is about 40 minutes total. Dany and Pau were 6 and 4 yrs. old when they learned piano, Ale was 1 yr. old. They got Rock Band Video game when Dany was 8 and Pau was 6, Ale was 3 yrs. old. I think Ale is so quiet because she is just used to them talking so much, so she just lets them talk.
Blink 182? That is crazy that they are from your High School. If you have not heard their new song you should react to it. It's called One More Time and came out about 4 months ago. It's not a hard rocking song, but might bring a tear to your eye listening to the lyrics.

We’ve watched them cook/bake in their kitchen, we’ve watched them play video games in their basement and we’ve watched them do arts and crafts, and we’ve watched Dany’s midnight shows on IG amongst other things.

Ale tends to defer to her older sisters when all 3 are being interviewed, but interestingly, she is more talkative when she is with just one of them. They just finished the Carnival Shiprocked cruise where they performed twice, and actually closed out the cruise doing great cover of Highway to Hell with Michael Starr of Steel Panthers (it’s a fan cam video, but very good quality). I’m pretty sure they will be touring the US sometime this year, and they usually hit So Cal. 😎👍

Ale defers to her sisters. She is the youngest. Mayday in the Making (1-6) is more in-depth, including parents interviewed. The two songs in Spanish are Martirio, a great video but best at Teatro Metropolitan, and Narcissista, best live the first time they played it at Foro Didi Monterey. It's a response to their critics who said they should not sing in English. There's so much more...

    Some great observations.
Ale is an introvert. As such she can be shy and reserved but, when she gets comfortable you can't shut her up. That is why she started talking more towards the end.
If you want a better look at Pau's drum kit, there is a Gear Masters video with her going through what she has, and why. There is actually a video for each of them. Not only do you get to see their gear, but you get a good look at them. Their personalities shine through. Also their geekiness about gear.
Yes, that interview was done in The Warning Cave. Their basement studio. Many videos on their channel shot in that room.
Don't worry about being slightly spoiled on a couple songs from this. Yeah, you got a taste, but you haven't heard the whole thing. And as you know, their songs tend to do some interesting things.

They toured the states (San Diego at House of Blues - Headliner show & Phoenix at US festival) back in 2022 from March to october.
I'm glad they're doing the European tour this year for now. North American music market (US & Canada) sucks for up & coming hard rock & metal bands. The Warning are much better than a 1,000 seat venues. Here in America. They're lucky to get booked into those venues.

So something I believe contributes to the Warning Army’s obsession with the band is something that as far as I know doesn’t exist for any other band : over a hundred hours of archived IG live streams of them interacting with fans.
You see more of their lives from the time they were lil kids until now than anyone else in music.
It is almost Truman Show like.
There are videos of them being interviewed by Rudy before Ale’s feet could touch the floor of the chairs they were in. Interviews from the Ellen show, live vlogs about music, streams of them answering questions while stuffing patreon rewards in envelopes.
You can watch them play mario kart, or bake or try to learn each others instruments. Dany has a half dozen midnight concerts where she will sing any requests or share deeply personal events.
Every hardcore warning fan has bawled their eyes out with Dany, I don’t care how tough you act. It’s true.
So kinda like how Blink was your local band you got in on the ground floor as they reached for the stars The Warning is all of ours. We have watched them as kids, teens and young women and NO OTHER band treats their fans the way the warning does.
They willingly give fans a role in their success. So in the end we want success for them because it’s a payoff for our behind the scenes work.
So if you want here is an hour of Dany singing just about any song the viewers tossed out.

There are lots of documentary and vlog conversations and interviews where Ale's role gets noted... her perfect pitch, her being a "human metronome" and her quiet animation. She has the type of well grounded youngest child approach because she followed in the footsteps of her sisters but made the path her own. Both Dany and Pau speak of her as giving them "the look" when they get out of time etc... In this video you can see a few times when Ale wants to make her point and she simply puts her hand on Pau's arm and then says what she wants to say and the others agree. She chooses when she wants to speak, just as she chooses when she wants to sing, and otherwise she just does "her thing". When the sisters speak of her sitting with them when they started playing instruments and rock band etc... they describe her (as she did on Ellen) as being a baby sitting there and clapping her hands. She was keeping time then and she is still keeping time.
There is a pile of BTS videos and vlogs that will give you every combination of information but the one I really think sums it all up is in their VMA aftermovie when you see the stage producer talking to them as they get set up and then as they are leaving the stage after they perform he is caught on a live mic walking behind them and saying "Holy shit I'm a fan now".
Their label exec talks about it and Pau sums it up as "That shows we did our job". Their BTS info is really full of info.
    Good reaction. Worth subscribing.
    Take Care
    David

My friends got him an audition to play drums for the local band US 101 when he was a freshman . A few years later he hooked up with Vince Neil over at Charter Oak High School and they formed Motley Crue. He was a good drummer, not great but very determined to make it in the music industry, Ambition and drive, the guy had that in abundance.

Yeah there are some really in depth documentaries out there that track so much. I think this Tidal one is pretty fair though and lets them tell their own story pretty well. They have so many 100s of hours of Vlogs too. I've only just gotten into them after hearing just about all of their original music and I have to say, some of the Vlog moments are pretty amazing. They are very good about sharing their lives with their fans and somehow also knowing how to hold enough back to have a life. I feel like they've always done this well which is really unusual for people so young. Even back to their TED talk they already knew how to be honest while also being professional. To make the honest connection but also keep it together. It's all these details about who they are and how they are that underlie why many of their fans love them so much. The music is enough, but the rest just makes it over the top special. I know I wouldn't want all these parasocial relationships, particularly as a woman, but they seem to always have the balance just right.

That top row, 2nd from the left on that recommendation page at the end will, take you thru Pau’s kit (dany & ale have ones too). Digital tour bus rig run down. TW have other older ones on their channel as well that go into more depth (though might be stuff they don’t use currently)

You was curious of bands they have toured with, 2022 Halestorm The Pretty Reckless and Lilith Czar. Also with Guns n Roses, Three Days Grace, and Foo Fighters. Also opened for their heros Muse. Im sure there are others too. Love The Warning. My favorite band period.

A quick note about when this doc was made in relation to their Albums.
Mayday is a 6 song EP they released around when this was done. Then they released ERROR which is a full length 13 song album which included the 6 Mayday songs.

That Mexico show they are talking about when they had wild fans, this clip of Pau is from there. She goes all in! ruclips.net/user/shortspsKNa7h7knQ I have seen this documentary many many times, but it is still as fun to watch it and see the sisters inter act. Fun fact! If Pau would not be in a band, she her self has said she would be a writer and Dany would be a teacher. Ale didn´t say what she would be but the other two told her "you could be a model". Good reaction! By the way. The Spanish song they are playing is "Martirio" well worth a listening!

It depends on the interview to how much Ale talks, but she has become a little more vocals as she has got older. One thing I noticed is how Pau is sitting and protecting Ale subconsciously by protecting her by sitting slightly in front of her.

Sadly none of the bands from my area ever "made it", but one kid became a big metalcore producer, and another kid played guitar for GWAR for a few years. The scene here was tiny, and batshit insane to compensate. Produced more alcoholics/cokeheads than musicians. One time Thrice played here, called us "scary". Some of my friends from out of state went to school with people who got big. Good friend of mine was high school friends with most of Mastodon. A girl I briefly dated's stepdad ran a label or something, she had pictures of lots of bands at her house. Bikini Kill, Weezer, Modest Mouse, just hanging out having drinks with her stepdad. Had a picture of Elliot Smith at her 12th birthday.

I’ve seen them 3 times with my wife and we are in our late 50s. Interviews Ale is quiet, however if they are online by themselves she isn’t so shy. She also doesn’t like singing lead, however to give Dany a break she has sang lead.

Zack, I agree with you and would recommend that you watch certain of the songs in the studio versions first before going to the live performances of those songs. Among those would be Choke, Money, Martirio, XXI Century Blood, Enter Sandman (with Alessia Cara) and Evolve. Also, your first experience of Dull Knives should be, in my opinion, the one in The Cave, which is what we and the band call the studio in their parents’ basement. Nice videos, brother. I look forward to as much of your commentary on The Warning catalogue as you can get to. Thanks.

Love your analysis. Like you I’m a little late to The Warning party. Became aware of them after VMA’s September of ‘23. They’d just finished touring east coast of US before I knew who they were. Hopefully they‘ll be back in North America by fall of ‘24. I have a feeling they’re going to tour Asia and Australia this summer.

When you get around to their 2016 & 2017 TedTalk performances, Ale was front and centre (But Pau & Dany had memorable quips). Besides, everything she knows, her sisters know, so a third voice gets wild. If she feels something she wants you to know, she’ll be straight forward with you.
You’ve still got MayDay in the Making, episodes 1 - 6 and I’d recommend their “The Band The Stage Episode 79” for a great informal media interview where they discussed going to Berkeley at a very young age. Funny part was in Episode 80, their guest was a no-sho so they discussed their interview with the ladies, including many reprimands for not directing questions towards Ale. They didn’t understand that significance fans look for in interviews! Good luck.

The best thing for a TWA member second to listening to the band is walking side by side with someone who is being warned. Perhaps is the desire to experience that whoa! sensation once more, or just to share the beautiful feeling of being a fan of this band with someone else, but I can promise you will never be alone as a TW fan. Even if you go alone to a concert you will leave with many new friends.

The last song you heard and the visuals are from the music video for the Spanish song "Martirio." Ale is a self-proclaimed introvert. But, if she is asked a question she answers without hesitation and is very succinct. There is an interview with Ale by herself but I can't find it. Ale does talk a lot in private according to Pau and Dany. Here is a short video of Ale learning bass with her teacher Pablo Sarre Gonzalez.

And this is a video of the photo shoot Ale did with the Spector bass team after they finished recording the Error album in New Jersey, December 2020.

Some descriptions of Pau from Ale, Dany and the production crew of the album Error. From the Mayday In The Making Documentary. (another you should watch. It's a little more in depth than the Tidal Rising. Plus has Record label people speaking, their parents, and the Production crew from the album Error. )

You’re never an outsider if you enjoy watching these ladies. The couple shows I’ve been to have been more like a big party than anything since the Grateful Dead. I’m nearly 100% positive they will have some shows in your area this summer. The Texas/Arizona/California circuit has been good for them. They will revisit that area as soon as they can. I may even have to fly down there from Minnesota to see them.
