- Dawoodi Bohra Succession | The Bombay High Court today upheld the appointment of Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin as the leader of the Dawoodi Bohra community, dismissing his nephew Syedna Taher Fakhruddin's petition. In the petition, Syedna Taher Fakhruddin had said that his uncle should not be allowed to contiue as the community leader as he took over the position in a "fraudulent manner."

Dawoodi Bohra is one of the most important communities in India. It has a huge role in improving India's ties with Middle Eastern countries.
Their Leader (Religious Head, that is Syedna Saifuddin) has good relations with Prime Ministers and Government Officials of Egypt, Iran, Iraq, South African Countries, etc and also with Prince or Royal Family of Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
Also, look at PM Modi, during his tenure as both CM and PM. He has made more visits to Dawoodi Bohra community than other muslim community.
PM Modi and our EAM S. Jaishankar also makes visits to Dawoodi Bohra Community Members living abroad in Australia, Indonesia, USA, Europe, Africa, etc
Also, Syedna Saifuddin has been honoured with many Global Awards across countries for his philanthropic work in education, healthcare and environmental preservation and his father Late Sydena Burhanuddin has also been awarded with Padma Shri.
Dawoodi Bohra Heads have been a centre of Indian Politics since Independence. From Pandit Nehru to PM Modi (to also other parties like Shiv Sena, TMC and DMK), all of them tried their best to maintain good relations with Dawoodi Bohra Community Leaders because of the Influence and Economic and Soft Power they have around the world, especially in Middle Eastern Countries.
Also, just search about the visits PM Modi has made to Dawoodi Bohra Leaders as both CM and PM, he even visited them during Moharram in Indore and also inaugurated a Arabic University in Marol, Mumbai which was made by Bohra community.
