I think it's high time the Nigerian FG jettison this protocol or practice of having a retinue of government functionaries coming to welcome the president each time he goes or returns from a trip.
I don't know if this is done elsewhere in the developed world and what value or purpose it serves. It may help if the president has been away for a long time, i.e., after a vacation.

we have traditions, just because america accept same sex marriage does not mean they are civilized tha us. yeah in technology but not in culture because their youth have to respect. we still have kings in africa because it is our tradition. please be proud of your country. for me i love to be different. what is wrong with the handshake ? at least the vice president or the head of military was not there so just shut up my guy
