Alphie McCourt Speaking from New York a Week before his Death

The University of Limerick was saddened by the recent death of Alphie McCourt youngest brother of acclaimed Limerick writer Frank McCourt. Alphie attended a recent University of Limerick / Irish Arts Centre New York Tribute Show to Frank McCourt on Sunday 26th June 2016 and spoke with us about writing and the importance of the University of Limerick.

I didn't know Alphie, (Alphonsus), had died. Nor did I know of Michael's death. I am so sad just to be finding this out now. Rest in Peace, brothers McCourt. I know Frank was there to help you to the other side. xo
