So here's the story. Los Angeles azules have been playing cumbia since the early late 80s & 90s. During the 2000s cumbia declined a little bit due to new popular genres like reguetton. So to appeal to the younger generation Los Angeles azules began to fusion with younger artists to keep cumbia Alive. They exchange songs by both artists by turning their rock and pop songs into cumbia by these artists such as Natalia and Gloria Trevi, Jay d la Cueva Ximena. Etc... and it worked. Other cumbia artists followed their footsteps and have gained more recognition. Los Angeles have gained more views with their latest colabs than they ever thought they would.
