I played on the same pitch around 24 years ago. It was the same colour even then the ball would talk.. Stewart Dockerill is a very useful bowler and a good person on top.

Great scenes! Funny how I went from watching West Indies cricket videos & this was in suggested viewing underneath. You're only a 15 minute drive across the city....I've thought about joining a team for some time so maybe this is telling me something in advance of next summer 😄

Well done there... always good to see teams beat 'one man teams' who have one or two players way too good for the standard who just play below their level to get cheap runs and wickets, usually opening the bowling and batting top 5.
That J Khan guy *really* did not line getting a duck... its not like he hasnt had a good game already considering he is about ten times better than any of their other bowlers, feels like he has to get all the runs as well. If you are that good, sign for a higher level team!

@@nadal2rooney #well yea, but still its justice. Play at the proper standard for your abilities. He probably gets 5+ wickets and 50+ runs a game at that level, and this game when he failed and the rest of the players had to actually *bat* , they got shown up because they are not used to batting.

No chance against the SDs when they are on fire. The oppositions batting was sub standrd as to what you are used to playing against. Short game and no time for teas, and into the bar...Good win and great filming, even though it was short...lol

just play some club cricket in England. Apart from the younger players who 'want to be like Joe Root' and only carry the dodgy new things the international players wear, most players have one or more of these sweatshirts in their bag. I still have every single cricket sweater I have owned since the 1990s and regularly use all of them over the season.

That j khan guy wrecked the entire batting lineup
from 5:44 - the next 2 clips show the umpire to be somewhat dodgy. If Dunn did touch the ball as he seemed to claim then that was a run out and the second one - you can actually hear the sound of ball hitting wood for a bizarre lbw. Perhaps he is wearing those glasses cos he's registered blind (and deaf apparently)

I honestly cant tell...was the ball hooping everywhere in this game? So many batsmen looked like they got bowled off straight deliveries...
The lad stewie d who got 7-15 swings it considerably and is quite accurate as well. Played a fair few junior county games with my lads.
I was like 12 when we played cricket against this one school got all of them out in like 4 overs till this day i can remember it clear as day because it is a once in a lifetime experience
I was in the 2nd team at skl and bowled a team out for 6 runs no joke we finished our match and the first team were in the 1st innings

I think he's bowling from the line that's a guide for umpires on wides, rather than the return crease. So is fine for back foot no balls 👍

A very different Castor & Ailsworth line up to that I used to play against in the 70's & 80's (King, Pugh, P Jex, Rager, Pell, C Turner, A Turner, M Jex, Goode, Moon, Henson, etc). But I suppose they, like me, are now old and retired...lol
Nigel King is still playing! Made his 1000 appearance for the club last season

@@CastorAilsworthCC truthfully, I wouldn't even know what or where to start on asking.. What's the 3 sticks?, Are there home runs?, Strikes/balls, fales.
@@JohnDoe-ez7kl the 3 sticks are called the stumps. The bowers are trying to hit them to get the batters out. The batters try to defend the stumps but also need to try and score ‘runs’.
There is a boundary rope about 70 metres from the pitch. If the batter hits the ball over the rope without bouncing (similar to a home run) it is 6 runs 👍
