I really appreciated your collaborations with Sebastian in SF a couple years ago, I am now following you on your channel, your posts are always complete with insightful informations and I love your style, no bling-bling so common on multiple fragrance reviewers channels.
Ashley, great video. I always enjoyed watching your videos with Sebastian. It is great to see that you have your own RUclips channel. I think that you have a great future as a perfumer
I have a heritage tester on me now. I got a whiff of it in the air and it is stunning! Feel so good when the scent journeys past my nose. Truly a regal scent. Soft. Floral. Gentlemanly. Classy. Unique. Special. Likey! 🙃
You are just so lovely and you suggest such wonderful fragrances. I’m so happy to see your channel growing, you have such passion for perfumes and you’re so knowledgeable. Thank you for being you ♥️
Btw I love Heritage. I also have Roja Danger and find them to be quite similar so yes, excellent suggestion. A few affordable scents I feel smell expensive are Narciso Rodriguez For Him EDP Calvin Klein Euphoria Amber Gold Pasha de Cartier Parfum
Love this video, Ashley! Especially the Pour Monsieur and Heritage suggestions, those are two of my favorite classy scents as well. A couple scents that I like in this category of expensive smelling scents are, of course I gotta say Bel Ami right off the bat because it’s one of, if not my favorite creations ever, same with Coromandel. And a few more I’d add is Pasha De Cartier Parfum, Egoiste and Voyage d’Hermes…. Thank you for another great video and scent breakdowns. Always looking forward to your next post!
Starting to get very tired of the “aventus vs explorer” type videos so your insightful and informative videos are very welcome. Big fan and some new fragrances to add to the list which i need to smell, keep them coming ☺️
@@barkupatree6871 nah I mean it, I always wear it to funerals. It projects your condolences and that you are sorry without even saying a word. It's a very specialised great scent.
Very interesting and creative list. Two of my faves are Amouage Lyric Man and Houbigant Fougere Royale. Both double as signature scents for me throughout the year. I have two back up bottles of each. Thanks for sharing your thoughts Ashley !
Pour Monsieur is so unique. It has a really unusual aspect. It envelops you in this elegant citrus cloud and that little cloud lingers all day. It doesn’t project more than a foot or so but it’s there all day…an amazing summer citrus that is my summer signature scent.
Encre Noire is a perfume I wore in my University years in Toulouse and still love it. I think i carry 2 bottles at any given time. Another cheapie that i thnk smell great is Grey Flannel by Geoffrey Beene - sth in it brings me back to the yester years. Great video Ashley!
Thanks for the video! Closest thing I own to this list is Eau Savauge. Another I own that I feel smells "refined" or "expensive" is Beau De Jour. I find anything that smells classic (not dated) tends to fall into this category.
I love that you include perfumes at different price points in your video, you can absolutely smell unique and expensive for little more than 20 bucks. Vetyverio and Encre Noire are the only ones I own from your list and their inclusion is so well deserved! I’m just getting into a less well known brand called Parfumerie Particulière, try and check them out if you get a chance. Loving the nails btw💛🤩
This is a great idea for a video - I'd probably say Dior - Ambre Nuit - I bought a sample after someone on youtube recommended it, and I honestly have never been as wowed by anything else, for a regular person like me (I have zero background in fragrances or cosmetics) it just smelled so classy + sophisticated. I would also say the version of Dior Homme Sport from approx 2009ish, that was brilliant (it has since been reformulated) - and the same thing with the original La Nuit de l'Homme (not the much weaker later versions)
Oooo I like your choice of Heritage edt. Very slightly spicy soapy fragrance to me with a touch of orange fizz. For me, it's always been Creed's Spice and Wood. Such a superb birch in that one.
Hello Ashley. I saw a lot of the Smelling Great Fragrance Reviews videos which you were in, and you helped me discover one of my favorite fragrances: Lalique Encre Noire. Since that time, I've discovered other Lalique fragrances which I enjoy, especially Pour Homme EDP. Another fragrance which you influenced me to get is Dior Fahrenheit Le Parfum, and it's supposed to arrive sometime this week (I haven't tried it yet though).
I would add Aqua di Parma Colonia Intensa to this list! Glad to say i have Heritage and its really nice when you want to stand out in an luxurious yet likeable way.
I love and wear Encre Noir, Etat Libre D'Orange Intense Incense, D&G Velvet Incenso and Polo Supreme Leather. I'm female but love how men's fragrances have more presence sometimes. I guess I like the smokiness of these scents.
Great list and I agree that expensive smelling doesn't necessarily mean expensive prices. One of my favourite classics is 1980s vintage Miss Dior. It smells expensive and sophisticated and cost way less than the modern Miss Dior originale. I love the chai tea note in Remember Me by Jovoy (but I appreciate it may not be everyone's cup of tea...lol).
I have blind bought Heritage and is to be delivered here soon today. An expensive smelling (and some would say pricewise) cologne I have worn since 2013 is Odin New York Seylon 08, deeply scented, bitter orange, vetiver, sandalwood, yuzu, Bergamot, wet oak moss. its a complex scent. a possible drawback to it for many is the longevity, it seems to not last super long. I sprayed Tom Ford for Men last night and I can still get plenty of ghostly whiffs off it. where Odin 08 is right on the clothes. so its good for personal space, hugs, handshakes and for not annoying a room full of folks. I really enjoy it. excellent post, you have managed to steer away from all the usual scents I see on here.
Stéphane Humbert Lucas O' Hira is the most expensive frag in my collection, an excellent Ambergris. Also own Initio's Oud for Greatness, which smells elegant to me for an Oud fragrance. Honorable mention to PDM Layton and Kalan... in light doses.
Normally I prefer to purchase newer fragrances but I recently purchased Heritage at the Guerlain boutique in Las Vegas. I really like it and Guerlain is a special brand.
hey ashley I have a question, when I wear encre noire what's the best way to deal with all of the women that start throwing themselves on me wherever I go
Your Diptyque recommendation intrigues me as you mentioned geranium which is also in DS Durga’s Coriander which I love. Not that there is anything logical about that association….
Beautiful as always Ashley. Great video and loved your recommendations. IMO, Guerlain Heritage EDP is a MASTERPIECE. A few frags that make me feel like I'm Bruce Wayne and extremely wealthy include: 1) My Perfumes Oud Al Layl ($) 2) Issey Miyake Noir Ambre OR Salvatore Ferragamo Oud ($$) 3) Abdul Samad Al Qurashi Safari Extreme OR YSL Tuxedo ($$$) 5) Insert choice Amouage 🤣 Mine are: Dia, Memoir, and Lyric ($$$$) 6) Guerlain Neroli Outrenoir ($$$$$) Miss the collabs. Would be awesome to see those again if possible. Keep up the great work and stay safe!
Great list, I'm curious about Chanel Pour Monsieur EDT. I've heard it's very fleeting so I did buy the EDP. Is there a big smell difference between the two? Ysl rive gauche was a very expensive smelling barbershop fragrance, from the same company M7 is still available and I prefer it to TF oud wood which I find similar.
I think it’s up to personal preference. The EdP is more rounded but I think it loses a bit of the character because of that. Both are great though. I also love YSL Rive Gauche!!
well... by your standards, Ashley, I can say there are many affordable , but expensive smelling fragrances that I have: Lalique Hommage a L'Homme L'Eau d'Issey Intense Ferrari Bright Neroli Missoni Parfum pour Homme Tabac Original Raghba Men by Lattafa these can be found each under 30$ here in Romania
you are making only 'FOR MEN' videos.İnteresting! but i understand you I know personally that women are very impressed by men perfumes.I have experienced 100 times.Especially from GREEN İRİSH TWEED.
I LOVE your chanel and video content. to short thou. But. how can you say dated as perfumer? so shalimar, opium, pour un home the Caron, La Myrrhee Lutens, Anteus and N5 Chanel, Gentleman original fromulation, Sisley Eau du Soir, ... are dated?!. You could easly say that there is a flood of the same shit with different names and bottles with the same olafatory profile on the market from designer but also from niche houses. I respect and admire older or vintage creations and dont want to insult people, being as you said "dated" who just love more complex and potent creations and dont want to smell like every third. For younger generations it is seems wrong to be older and have different "dated" taste. In some distant future, when you will be much older, younger generations looking your recommendations could say your view is so dated. wonder how would you feel then.
SALUDOS GUAPA ! PARA LA PRÓXIMA ESTARIA BUENO UNA RESEÑA DE JAIPUR HOMME EAU DE PARFUM EN ESPAÑOL ! UN PERFUME SUPER ELEGANTE CON MUCHA CLASE , SEXY..😉 !
Sadly, that’s how it works. Women RUclipsr subscribers are mostly men and therefore the content will be catering mostly to men. Try Jeremy frag, lots of content for women available. Women go ga ga over him 😆
To me Chanel Pour Monsieur EDT smells like a 70 year old French biology teacher, who also possibly has a criminal record for touching kids. I can't help but get this association in my head. It's weird because I never met such a person or smelled something like this on anyone from what I can remember. It's an old mans fragrance, I think we all can agree on that. I like to wear it when I'm in the mood (not to touch kids) but when I wanna get that vintage vibe.
The best gift to the fragrance community this year is you starting your own channel. Glad you're back!
Thank you so much Jasper!
Heritage is a classic yet timeless masterpiece!
I’m happy you mentioned it!

Wow, I just discovered your own channel in RUclips. Such a wonderful surprise. I look forward to watching all your perfume reviews!
Your an amazing reviewer! Thanks for your insight 👍
Chanel pour monsieur edt and edp is my love.
Ashley, great video. I always enjoyed watching your videos with Sebastian. It is great to see that you have your own RUclips channel. I think that you have a great future as a perfumer
Wow Ashley you've really bloomed.
Great content.

Hi Ashley. I love the classic Allure pour homme. It is just classic and gentleman for my opinion. The very first edition. Thank you for the video
Stellar suggestions and we love your channel

EDT or EDP? I just ordered a sample yesterday.
Yes another Ashley vid 🙌
You are just so lovely and you suggest such wonderful fragrances. I’m so happy to see your channel growing, you have such passion for perfumes and you’re so knowledgeable. Thank you for being you ♥️

Bravo Ashley on a nice review. Some wonderful selections to choose from as well as an interesting variety. Looking forward to trying some out.
Great picks ! New subscriber ! Fun video , always nice finding new frag channels !

Pasha Parfum yes 🥰

So glad you keep the love for Encre Noire, Ashley! Apparently it's the only fragrance I can think of to wear during funerals.
i hope not your own??
@@barkupatree6871 nah I mean it, I always wear it to funerals. It projects your condolences and that you are sorry without even saying a word. It's a very specialised great scent.
@@PerfectlyFreedom i wear it for many occasions not including my own funeral.
@@barkupatree6871 of course not lol

I like both but they are polarizing!
Thanks for the video! Closest thing I own to this list is Eau Savauge. Another I own that I feel smells "refined" or "expensive" is Beau De Jour. I find anything that smells classic (not dated) tends to fall into this category.

Oh I also have Heritage 👍😄
Yes! There are a lot of affordable fragrances that smell expensive. So cool you have three from the list! And thank you for noticing the nails 💅 haha!
Oolala!! 😍 France here I come!

You did mentioned TF Grey Vetiver which is a mainstay for me, Creed’s Royal Oud smells expensive and actually is $$$ I do love it though.

Aqua di Parma Colonia Intensa is awesome too! And perfect description of Heritage!
I love Pour Monsieur and picked up another bottle yesterday
Heritage is very nice and cheap. Easy to wear. An easy list this one. Thanks
Love your videos 🧡🧡🍾
i have been wearing vetyverio for years amazing scent
I love cuir d’ange !!! Its great you mentioned it cause no one does
I love and wear Encre Noir, Etat Libre D'Orange Intense Incense, D&G Velvet Incenso and Polo Supreme Leather. I'm female but love how men's fragrances have more presence sometimes. I guess I like the smokiness of these scents.

You have great suggestion! However for leather frangrance Botega Veneta, for Vetiver fragrance Guerlain...
Thanks for sharing this , i will be checking these out , 😊
Heritage is beautiful. Roja's danger is very very similar to Heritage, just with a little more depth and quality.
Guerlain are a great perfume house.
Nice video Ashley, on thing though, we don't pronounce the "R" at the end of "Monsieur". Cheers, keep it up.
Any thoughts on L'Instant De Guerlain by Guerlain EDT or EDP (2015)? Thanks for the video btw! Will try these.
Stéphane Humbert Lucas O' Hira is the most expensive frag in my collection, an excellent Ambergris. Also own Initio's Oud for Greatness, which smells elegant to me for an Oud fragrance. Honorable mention to PDM Layton and Kalan... in light doses.
Guerlain hertiage EDT masterpiece nuffsaid 👌
Normally I prefer to purchase newer fragrances but I recently purchased Heritage at the Guerlain boutique in Las Vegas. I really like it and Guerlain is a special brand.
I love Vetiveryo, but I wish I bought the edt instead of the edp.
Hi Ashley, great video. Only one of these that I own is Encre Noire and it is amazing! Have to check out this Guerlain though.
Thank you! Happy to hear you liked it :) let me know what you think of the Guerlain when you smell it!
What heritage the edt or the edp ? 😊
Looks like it's getting 🔥 in Parieee.
Which would you pick? African Leather or Cuir d'Ange
bueller...
Lalique should do a collaboration fragrance with you, you put their Encre Noir on the map
it was already on tbe map from other you tube inflencers
OK having watched the last few of yr videos, now I must really try Encre Noire 😅
I’m sure it will smell great on you!
What are you thoughts on Vetyverio Eau De Parfum by Diptyque? I know you talked about the Eau de Toilette.
Great video
Have you tried Pasha de Cartier EDT?
hey ashley I have a question, when I wear encre noire what's the best way to deal with all of the women that start throwing themselves on me wherever I go
diptyque vetyverio EDT is just amazing, not sure about the EDP though the added patchoulli in that one does not agree with me has a dirty vibe/soily
Liquid Sword Pheromone Spray is so good
Your Diptyque recommendation intrigues me as you mentioned geranium which is also in DS Durga’s Coriander which I love. Not that there is anything logical about that association….
What smells expensive for me is : Guerlain Vetiver, Guerlain Habit Rouge,, Heritage and Lalique encre noire

I buy anything you say.
A lot of people have said heritage is pretty mature, do you think someone in their mid 20s can pull it off or would it smell out of place?
