this guy is ok compared to dj brace . i am not a scratch dj but i follow scratching closely and compared to dj brace which i just heard of like a month ago he is not better than him. That's just my opinion and i don't intend to talk shit just my view. also if brace did the online routine with that thing of a scratch pitch fader effect he would win.
There's still a few DJ's that bring the raw styles but shit has changed since they need multiple records. I reckon the judges will watch this over a few times now and have a few regrets
DMC allowed DVS in Supremacy this year because the DJs entering were dwindling to the point where the battle would not exist. There was no other choice.
He wouldn't even be on the same level as the OG DJ's in the DMC from 96-03, he has basic scratching skills, no musicality, and relies on mixing as many cheap drops into every minute as he can. It's shit.

One of the few routines I've enjoyed over the recent couple years. Every technique sounded pleasant. It was fast but still sounded good. So many new routines might have some great nsa Ely speedy bits bit sound like random noise.

Peace! At no point in any time should the term "button pusher" ever be used on an actual DMC champion. They are called TURNTABLISTS, my friend. No one wins a DMC with "button pushing". Some may not like the selection of a DJ but I would encourage anyone to duplicate this routine at home, just to see, how much skill it took to win.

DMC used to be very much about music culture as much as dj culture. things change over time of course. i found it difficult to relate this being a winning set though. maybe im stuck in the past i dunno. harsh on the ears though this.

I get a feeling that these guys just hating people playing anything not hip-hop in general rather than actually care with the skills.
Peace! At no point in any time should the term "button pusher" ever be used on an actual DMC champion. They are called TURNTABLISTS, my friend. No one wins a DMC with "button pushing". Some may not like the selection of a DJ but I would encourage anyone to duplicate this routine at home, just to see, how much skill it took to win.
To me DMC's roots should keep it as basic as it once was. I can see fans being a little pissed and suggest 3style. Still great set though.
3style doesn't even allow for that much turntablism - I can't see the comparison to a partyrocking DJ competition.
