    Just came across your series today, watching all seven installments in one sitting. Watching you sort out the building of the couple reminded me of all the headache time, back and forth, in and out, rewelding again and again only to remodify to finish in a timely fashion. I've always dreamed of Bonneville but now at my age I believe I've passed my chance. Your lil film has allowed me to be close as I'm probably going to get. You've made it so I'm almost there like one of the crew. Thank you and hope to see you back on the Salt. If not I'm sure we'll cross paths sometime in the L. A. hot rod scene in the future. All the comments aside can speculate their opinions but YOU are the one wrenching and risking your tail out there. It's your decision how fast you might want to take your couple to. This is your dream. Good luck and may the speed gods and the salts weather smile upon you... 😎

    A great car to run as a quality rig really helps me keep my energy and enthusiasm up. Plus a quality ride leaves me no misgivings as to pouring money and parts into it. No question this is top shelf equipment. Yet I bet this car has many trips down the salt and a lot of history behind it

    So stoked to see the car finally running on the salt, truly epic build. Did you dyno the flatty to get some baseline numbers, or is it just thumbsuck and go? We also run on a dry lake here in South Africa called Verneuk Pan, where Sir Malcolm ran back in the day with the Bluebird. You can feel the history. And I'd love to go to Bonneville. One day...

  • @lindahills4016

    Beautiful car...amazing layout in design...but only a 108 mph car ?
    I run a 4-71 blower on an Arias piston / Isky 88 cam / 59 AB flattie.... of 256 cubic inches in a street car.... and it runs 92 in the quarter mile.
    108 seems unusually weak.
    What am I missing...why is car so slow ?
    What are cubic inches ? What is compression and cam ?
    Don't get me wrong...car is gorgeous !

      We defiantly have an issue with the motor .. his stock flathead in his roadster did 110 on the freeway hah.. it’s getting pulled and gone through in the next few weeks for speed week we have a few ideas on what’s wrong.. so I guess will see in the next installment!

    I can't believe nobody thinks those screens in the carb inlets are restricting airflow. They may look cool but at WOT they are killing airflow. I would suggest fabbing some sort of large intake box with screen in the sides of the box roughly equal to ten times the surface area of current screens. And of course remove screens in the three carbs.

    • @luckyburton4787
      @luckyburton4787 3 года назад +1

      Hey Chuck not that it’s any of your business we don’t run the car with the screens or the scoops. As far as your suggestion you should totally do that on your land speed race car.
