I think there is some confusion about when mob explosion(100% emotion) took place: - Mob goes to 97%, but passes out from getting chocked - "Mob" stands up while unconscious, now at ???% - Unconscious and at ???% "Mob" destroys school - Mob regains consciousness, still at 97% - Mob starts crying and reaches 100% - Mob rebuilds the school with his 100% sadness
part of the charm of this story is the perfect innocence of Mob compared to the stereotype of the psychic, it's either "I'll do the good thing to help the world" or like Teru is here "I will rule the world" and mob is just "...girlfriend would be nice. Muscles too."
he really is just a little boy and I admire this show for being one of the only shonen whose protag actually acts their age. the innocent, confusion, and awkwardness of a middle schooler. he doesn't always know what's right, he's not on some righteous high horse cleansing the world of evil. when he sees the people trapped in the lol cult he just wants to get the fuck out of there not save them. he has a crush and wants to be popular and have friends. he is wonderfully normal, I've never seen adolescence so accurately portrayed
The title of the episode “Ochimusha”, means a disgraced warrior. That Teru’s head 0% is the moment he thinks Mob sees him as an Ochimusha. Then at the end when Ritsu is watching TV a little kid is talking about how he saw an Ochimusha flying through the air. 😂 Terus expressions are so funny to me. ♥️
I think it is more of a "dishonored Samurai". Honor is important to Japanese especially to Samurais, and the disgrace samurai was depicted as this bald(sign of aging or ugliness). The moment Teru got the sword he started to look like it🤣.
Mob: "From my perspective, you are totally average." Teru: "Just use them already, people don't change that easily." Both of them could learn a lot from the each other.
I'm sure this was pointed out already, but Mob's "???%" state is basically a sort of unconscious berserker mode.... Mob isn't in control of himself when he's in that state, unlike when he's at 100%. THAT'S why he's so unwilling to use his powers most of the time.... because he's afraid of going on an uncontrollable rampage. Poor fella... at least there are guys like the Body Improvement bros who have his back, though. 😉
She hit the nail in the head soooo well at 14:25 that's what this all series is about, the fact that you can do something incredible or better than anybody else, whatever what that is does not make you better than others, sel improvement, achieving what you are not good at makes you truly grow.

i randomly found your video on dimples death and watching you react to dimple first joining was funny because it was such a 180 but you are SO INTUITIVE you managed to see so much of what was gonna happen w ritsu, teru and dimple...you should go into psychology or something!

100% sadness is so underrated. the "fight" leading it to it, mobs desperate little punches as this little boy is struggling and drowning against the current of his own powers, trying so desperately to hold them back and not hurt anyone anymore. the way their faces are drawn are ugly but raw with emotion (emotions aren't pretty, I think the ugliness of their expressions just express that this is just two little boys who don't know what they're doing, both being confronted with the ironic amount of powerlessness their powers give them, both trying desperately to prove something to the other and to themself. and sad ass music, it sounds so touching and personal, and especially how it kinda climaxed in time with mobs 100%. and the text, describing mobs sadness and how he failed to change. all his efforts, body improvement club, sticking to his morals, years of constantly keeping in his emotions and powers, and yet he still can't keep himself from hurting others. and the way mob just curls into a smaller and smaller ball and sobs on the ground is absolutely heartbreaking. he's such a young kid, he shouldn't have to deal with any of this ontop of him dealing with normal middle schooler problems. I want to scoop him up and hug him so bad

I think Ritsu is not refering to the typical 100% Mob who is still conscious and in some extend still in control of himself, but just unleashing his overwhelmed emotion. I think when Ritsu said this is not Mob is refering to that ???% Alter Ego of Mob whenever he lose conscious or any memory recollection. Perhaps this ???% of Mob is the very reasom why Mob is so strong, yet he can always go beyond his 100% by withdrawing power from his unknown dangerous alter ego that Ritsu don't believe to be the real Mob.

See, when it comes to anything by ONE (the creator of One Punch Man and Mob Psycho 100), one of his favorite things to play with is obviously the shonen trope of characters who believe that only the strong should be allowed to have their way, ignoring the glaring flaw in that mindset...there's ALWAYS going to be someone stronger. However, ONE also turns this trope on its head by asking a very interesting question...what if there really WAS no one stronger? Is the grass REALLY greener on the other side? In the case of One Punch Man, it's brought Saitama no happiness because he realized there was nothing left for him to achieve. And in the case of Mob Psycho 100, it's brought Shigeo no happiness because he realized his powers make him just as dangerous to the people he cares about as to whatever random threat might happen to stumble his way. This is why Shigeo is the way he is. It's why it's why he suppresses his emotions to the point where he "explodes" like this. It's why he tries to use his powers as little as possible, if he doesn't have to. And it's why he reached out to someone like Reigen (even though Reigen is obviously using him), because he's desperately looking for something...ANYTHING...to anchor himself to his humanity, so he doesn't transform into the monster he's terrified of becoming. I think we're at the point where you see that now, especially after bearing witness to "The Unknown Percentage". And you're only going to see just how much harder it gets for him, going forward. ^_^;
the reason mob's counter didn't reach 100 while he was fighting Teru was because he didn't explode like before, the narrator said it, something within him awaken, which is reinforced by mob not remember beating up the thugs and his brother as a kid and his counter still counting down even after he snap out of it
This episode is the perfect example of the "it was at this moment, he knew he f***ed up" meme. And Teru is the culprit 🤣🤣🤣 Side note: Always keep a lookout for the 100% levels that Mob reaches. Everytime he reaches it, an emotion will be associated with it, albeit to the extreme levels. 100% sadness is Mob putting the school back together, as if him regretting what he did and trying to fix everything (which he does unknowingly). Season 2 is like this episode but on steroids.
