This is the first I've seen of your channel and I'm blown away so far. Your filming is stunning! I've been dealing with some extreme anxiety attacks lately and I put your video on and it seriously helped me relax. I really miss getting out and doing this stuff, its been a long time. I've always wanted to see Killarney but glad I got to see it through your lenses. Will be watching your videos all weekend, Cheers! Mark
Wow, thank you! I've been subscribed to your channel for a long time and I really enjoy your videos. I'm sorry to hear about your recent anxiety attacks... Life is full of ups and downs and we all have to get through our own challenges. I hope you are able to get back out there soon. It's some of the best therapy there is. Cheers 🍻
Beautiful video! We did a 3 day trip there in August, it was fun to see the same sights on Bell and David Lakes. Looks like we'll have to come back in the fall, the colours were spectacular
I haven’t finished the video yet I’m watching it on my tv but I have to say you are doing an awesome job. I watch a lot of canoe content on YT in the winter Jim Baird, Canoe the North, Northern Scavenger and the like and I almost skipped over your video but the picture was awesome so I gave it a try. You do a phenomenal job editing. It doesn’t get boring you show the scenery and you talking the right amount can’t say enough. Keep it up and you will have a ton of subscribers. I have to step up my game now on my filming. That trip time of year and place is absolutely gorgeous, the colors were crazy. Nice boat by the way I have one too and they are a lot of fun, light, surprisingly maneuverable for so little rocker and can carry a ton. 👍 subscribed I will start watching the rest of your content
Canoe ENVY!! :) I have 16' Swift but would love a solo! Did you find it rockier than bigger canoes? Such a beautiful part of the park thanks for sharing, oved the portage shots!! Cheers, Curtis
Well I'm used to renting a Swift Keewatin 15' solo, which is a much tippier canoe. The Prospector 14 feels a lot more stable in comparison. I really enjoyed how relaxed I felt in the Prospector, even if it is a bit slower through the water.
Hey Kev! This was really healing and inspiring! I have no idea what it is about watching the Canadian Canoeing trip vids. We’re a sit on top household here with one sit in i picked up on Craigslist last year. Im actually thinking about putting it back on Craigslist. But watching all of these Canadian canoe trippin vids makes me want to consider getting a canoe like what you have. I at least want to get my passport in order and come up there for a guided trip if something like that exists. Normally i kayak camp on big Maine lakes but no portaging on those trips. I was curious what you used for bear protection both for your person as well as for your food? It seems a lot of canoe camping RUclipsrs like that tent that you have there. Anyway…. Im rambling on here. Thanks for filming this trip!! Looks like a lot of work and it’s very much appreciated for sure! You really captured everything well!! Thank you again and take care. Paul
Wow, thank you for leaving such a wonderful comment. If you enjoy these types of videos, I think you would really enjoy canoe tripping in a place like Algonquin, Temagami or Killarney. You can rent canoes or bring your own. There are guided services but I don't have any experience using them. Cheers!
08:13 commitment bro. Love your new canoe, she's a beauty. Length and weight? Killarney looks gorgeous, oh no you went for a little swim lol! Wind chill looked bitter bud!
Thanks Eze! She's a 14 foot Prospector in Kevlar layup. 30lbs although I haven't weighed it to confirm. Very similar to the canoe you rented on your last Algonquin trip, just a foot shorter and a bit wider. She's a bit slower but a really appreciate the added stability and comfort for long days on the water.
Ahh man she's perfect!!! I can't wait to buy one of those one day !! I do like narrower at the cost of stability, but something along these lines!@@kevinthewild
I think a 32 inch width is close to perfect for me. Interestingly, Nova Craft just released their own 14 foot solo Prospector. Very interesting! Cheers mate @@EzeAdventurer
Wow Kev what an amazing video! Epic! your choice of music along with your beautiful videography is second to none on RUclips. Quick question. Why did you choose the solo over a pack canoe? I tried a pack canoe for a similar trip this year and loved it, but I've never used a standard solo. I'd appreciate your insights. Also, I think some may have also asked, but it would be cool if you made a video going over your gear, I need to learn how to pack lighter, I think mine was near 60lbs for a 5 day lol. Might be a good winter video for you to make!
Thanks Jay! To answer your questions, they are both extremely similar but they each have their own advantages over the other. The regular canoe seat allows you to sit higher and gives you a better view of your surroundings. It's a bit easier to move around and get in and out of. The advantage of the pack seat is that it's more stable since your centre of gravity is lower, and is more comfortable due to the back support. I like being a bit higher up so I went with the traditional canoe seat. And yes I might do a gear video at some point. We'll see...
Challenging route. I started filming and posting this year in my prospector 14 pack. Love my new boat, I’m sure you will have the same opinion. Great channel!
The most interesting aspect I've found camping in the Fall is the stillness in the air, the flat water. Late adternoons you can hear a pin drop. The wildlife serms to quiet down and the atmosphere can be a little erie but pure solitude for heavy thinkers. Nice canoe. Good luck with it.
Bring a fishing rod! Not only will you enjoy catching and cooking up some fresh fish, it also adds to your content. You often travel over some prime trout spots. Just get a cheap telescopic and small reel - your tackle (couple Mepps spinners, couple small spoons, hooks weights, you can dig up some worms/grubs if neccessary) can fit into an Altoids tin. Weighs nothing. And what did you eat? Record that and talk about what you prepared, even if it's simply commercially prepared boil in bag stuff. And once in while do a gear bomb and show what you bring, I know you travel super light. And finally, more than 3 seconds on the new boat would have been nice. All good though Kev - been watching your adventures since APP last year. Be safe
I appreciate your feedback. I'll start brining a rod and some light fishing tackle with me on my future trips. I decided to cut out a short "first impressions" that I made of the canoe from the video, but I'll review it after I take out on a few more trips.
Most lakes in Killarney have little to no fish in them anyways due to damage from acid rain, and the ones that do are protected as sanctuaries (OSA and Killarney Lake). Not much trout either, I think it’s mostly Pike or Smallmouth Bass if you get lucky enough to catch something. You didn’t miss out on much by not bringing a rod on this trip!
@@pat_monette I did notice that there were quite a few "no fishing" lakes indicated on my map. I wasn't aware about the poor fishing in the others however. Thanks for chiming in!
Great trip!! Great choice on that canoe it's a beauty. The red stands out especially when you portage through the green forest and looks great with the exposed granite and yellow leaves when you're paddling on the lake. Looks like you had the entire park to yourself so far, must be great! Everytime I go to Killarney it's super busy, but I guess you made a good call going very late in the season.
Yes I feel blessed to have been born in this beautiful country, but even if you live elsewhere, the wilderness here is open for you to enjoy. You should come do a canoe trip here one day if you haven’t already. Cheers!
Thank you for sharing your adventure! Thank you for taking us along, Kev. My wife and I enjoyed this video so much that we watched it two times. Cheers!
This was an absolute joy to watch! I'm so glad it came up as a recommendation today. I have now subscribed and am very much looking forward to your continuing adventures... and I will definitely be doing a bit of binge watching to catch up. Beautifully filmed, edited and narrated. Oh, what a gorgeous part of the world you live in! A big hello from across the pond :)
Excellent content, videography and narration Kev. Killarney is a long way from here but one of the Crown Jewels of Canada’s parks. I drive a Swift Keewaydin 15 (which looks so well designed for that park) and 16’ Prospector depending on trip and gotta love the single carries. You carried a nice tight kit. Did it turn out to be a tick bite?
It really is! Such a breathtaking place. The Keewaydin 15 is perfect for a solo canoe trip in Killarney. Light for some of those tough portages. My first blood test was negative for Lyme. I got a second just to make sure. Still waiting for the results.
Sweet. Have the place to yourself at this time? I did a 10 day (Sept)in thru 3 narrows and out into mcgregor bay and up to the quiet remote north and back around to David. Absolutely love this. Loved 3 narrows especially the 2 quiet ends. I might post my first vid(that was my intention) but realized at that bend into the north wind I wouldn't get the entire trip captured(batteries dying way quicker than I thought). I also took a vid of that rock face at 18:44. I remember that exact spot.
10 days! Lucky you! I'll definitely check out your vid if you post one. But yeah figuring out how much battery power you need on a trip is matter of trial and error.
Well done on all fronts, including the filming and editing. I wondered about fishing as well (I can’t drive over a bridge without looking for fish habitat) but you kept it interesting and the story moving. I FF thru a lot of these vids but not yours. Also, glad you showed the pitfalls along with the glory. We all take an unexpected swim sometimes. Keeping it real.
As always, great adventure in the wilds of Algonquin, thanks for sharing. I have noticed that you never show the thunder box area of the campsite you choose. hahahaa Those weren't around in my days in Algonquin, so I have to ask. Who cleans them up or are they left to nature?
Thunder boxes are not something that I am particularly keen on showing unless it's an exceptional one. I did show one once - in my 5-day fall solo trip video from a year ago. Once they are full the park staff buries the hole and relocates the thunder box to a different spot.
Hey Kev, have you heard of Justin Barbour. He's making a 3800km trek across Labrador. I believe he's the first one to do it. Also a great RUclips channel.
Greetings Kev, I'm new to your channel (just SUBSCRIBED). Very nice video. I enjoyed watching your journey. I paddled to Killarney (haven't posted my video yet) in July and it is a beautiful place but your trip in the fall colors was truly breathtaking. Thanks for the great video. I know how much work goes into them and yours turned out excellent. Looking forward to more and I'll have to catch up on some of your past videos.
Awesome trip! I posted a video of a trip we did to great mountain lake from early august. We came in from the north and stayed at the site to your right @11:22 after the portage. I'm definitely looking forward to doing more trips in the area!
Nice boat - I have the same in the basalt layup/colour. Don’t feel bad about the dump - I did the same thing this summer on the Flack Lake route. Right into the black muck! Luckily I was solo so only my pride suffered. My daughter and I are planning a similar route to yours for next summer, which will include Bell, David, and Great Mountain lakes. Thanks for the preview!
Very nice! I definitely could have gone with the basalt layup because it only adds 5-6lbs. And yes, it's a beautiful route and will make for a wonderful trip with your daughter.
Hi! Just found your channel and I am really impressed with your travels. We were in this area years ago, and it is still gorgeous. You have a nice calming voice, and it is very relaxing to watch your videos, which is very welcoming. I'll be a longtime subscriber for sure.
Just a small piece of feedback, try to show us more of what you see, for example at one point when you were about to canoe away you said that the water was very clear and beautiful but then the camera cut to the pov of yourself, would be great to also see those small details, great vid overall tho :)
Thanks for sharing this amazing adventure. Killarney is such a beautiful place particularly in the fall months. Congratulations on your new canoe. I bought the same red 14’ prospector this year as well and I am so happy with it. Really love your channel!
Keep the vids coming Kev. I’m so glad you got that new canoe! I commented a couple years ago how I got one and it’s such a life changer. So light, just throw it on your car if you have a couple hours or more and it’s pure joy!
I went with the Prospector as well, that deep red you picked looks so good with the fall landscape. Tough time of year to take your first dip, glad to see you carry on. Another Great trip Kev!
Captivating. I am glued the entire hour. You are able to take us with you. Your narration in calm and your plot is simple and true. The scenery is so stunning and breathtaking especially the color of the trees. Very well done ! I will see you in your next adventure.
What an awesome video, probably my favorite of yours now. I'm shocked you didn't see anyone, that place is always a zoo, even getting into shoulder season. Top notch filming and editing, you have a style that's uniquely yours, and is a real pleasure to watch. People will tell you what you should and shouldn't do, but I wouldn't change a thing, your formula is perfect! Congrats on the sweet new ride!
I love hearing that! Yes I've thought about getting a drone, but a lot of my favourite places to go canoe tripping don't allow them (all Ontario Parks).
Excellent stuff. Being from Alabama, I'm so jealous of the incredible canoeing and kayaking waters (and fishing) that Canada has to offer. Cinematography, editing and music overlay was fantastic. Thanks for taking us along. Cheers!
On my very first visit to Canada 30+ years ago, we went canoeing in Killarney. Been living here for almost 25 years now and Killarney ist still one of my favourite spots on this planet
i enjoyed this video more than some outdoor videos of channels with 1.000.000+ subscribers. Just loved it. Gonna subscribe and hope to see more of these on your channel!
I am in the midst of watching all your videos . I just found you recently and intend to get caught up. Awesome views & awsome trip. Love this cant wait to watch more.
Nice paddle Kevin. Some pretty amazing views . I mite have to do a bucket lit . Living on the West Coast we have come nice lakes but nothing like Canadian Wilderness has to offer. Sometime the rain is welcome when it that amazing. Around Bend Oregon out!!
Awesome vid Kev! Killarney is beautiful and probably far enough from TO to avoid the crowds, even in the summer. Don't listen to people telling you what you should add to your videos- if people want to see more fishing, find the content creator that does that. Gear review, find someone else. I love the simplicity of your trips, and will get my fishing hit elsewhere. Your videos are awesome the way they are, don't change a thing! Keep doing you Kev and thank you for sharing with us. Greetings from Edmonton. -Martin
Wow, Kev. This is so beautiful. AGAIN! I wonder why you don't have way more follwers. I was thinking it might be, because you neither do fishing nore cooking. But you totally have me, because that also isn't what I'm searching for. It's this breathtaking beauty of nature that you do so sensitively put in frames. I really love your work, thank you so much for all this time and work!!.
Thank you so much Kerstin! I may add a little bit of fishing and cooking in future videos, but my focus will always be to try to best capture the beauty of the wild places I travel through :)
Absolutely loved this video Kev, keep them up! Couple of questions, did you single carry all the portages? It looks like you did, but that's pretty impressive if so! Secondly, did you not use a bear barrel? What was your food storage? M.
Thanks Matt! Yes I single carried all my portages. As far as food storage, all my food goes into a heavy duty dry bag that I hang above the ground at night. I prefer this for shorter trips as it's a lot lighter and more compact. Since I single carry, everything has to fit in my 85 litre backpack.
@@kevinthewild This is brilliant thanks. My son and I did a Wabakimi trip last year - 9 days, two 100L bags, two 35L bags and a bear barrel!! Made the whole thing a lot more work. Watching you single carry all the ports with one bag is eye-opening. May well go ursack next summer. Got to get weight and volume down hugely!
That's a lot of gear! lol. Although a barrel has its advantages, I love that I am able to gradually reduce the size of my food bag as my trip progresses. Give it a shot and see how you like it.
@@kevinthewild I don't even know what it all was?! I mean I have a full spreadsheet with everything listed, but I don't get how it adds up to the quantity it did.... Definitely much lighter next time. I've just discovered your channel and already added a few of your previous vids to my Watch Later. Great work!
What a phenomenal video. Killarney looks absolutely stunning! Congratulations on your new canoe - it is a beauty. Interested to hear why you chose the Prospector 14 and how you like it. I ended up buying a Keewaydin 15 this past spring. Looking forward to more videos - keep up the great work.
On a side note - don’t feel pressured to incorporate fishing into your trip videos. To me, there is nothing more boring than watching a guy fishing on his canoe trip video. Not to mention, the extra gear required, time to fish, and time to clean, fillet, cook, and eat the fish would dramatically change the types of trips you do and take away from the time you have to relax and enjoy yourself at camp.
Thanks as always! The main reason I went with the Prospector 14 is that it's a bit more stable and the extra width allows me to setup my tripod in the canoe in a much more stable way. I find it a bit more relaxing to paddle, but it certainly is slower than the Keewaydin 15. I would say perhaps 20% slower. I'm really enjoying it so far though. And congrats on your new canoe!
I would love to have fish for dinner from time to time, but that will never be my primary focus. I just love exploring and covering ground so that I can find solitude when Im out there.
I have the prospector 15, tandem which I solo occasionally. It’s not a fast boat but plenty fast for me. And like you said it’s very stable. I got it as a pond hopper but it’s plenty fine on open water. I’m rarely covering more than 12-15 km a day paddling.
Nothing I like more than solo tripping. What a great trip. I have not been able to par down my kit to one pack and canoe to allow single portaging. Food for a 9 day trip seems to take one pack then another pack for the other gear. How about producing a video on your solo kit. Thanks for sharing.
That's a good suggestion. I basically pack like I'm going on a backpacking trip, with a few extras. The camera gear and battery banks are the only thing that weigh me down. Glad you enjoyed the video!
This was fantastic. We love Killarney but there are so many places you travelled through we've never seen. Thank you for your gorgeous shots and for taking us along.
Thanks Jim! The map I was using is a new map that you can find on the Friends of Killarney website. Much better than the other map I have from a company I won’t name. This one indicates the distances between points.
Those are some impressive single carries. Great on the edit. I do wonder if the backpacking backpack hits the carry yolk much as I don’t have a portage pack just a backpack like yours and always wondered if it works with canoe overhead. Guess it does.
My seat has two adjustable positions. When I portage I lower the seat to the low position and it gives me plenty of clearance for my pack. I just like the practicality of my osprey with all of its exterior pockets and pouches.
Nice to make one carry, what was your approximate total weight ? If you looking for a fishing kit i try a lot of set up on my river canoe trips. The lightess and effective one is a shot ice fishing rod with a good sealed spinning reel spoled with 20pds bread line and 10 or 20pds fluoro (20 for pike) , max 6 lures, and no fancy rod holder, just 2 small spring clips and velcro . You will cast far enoff, troling easy and bring back the fish in the boat so easy. For filet knife i use Opinel folding .
Thanks for the advice Robert. I think my total load on this trip was around 90lbs (including food). I never thought about an ice fishing rod, but I've bought myself a regular 2-piece rod, a reel, and some lures for next season. I also did pick up the Opinel filet knife 👍
Your gear is second to none. The backpack that you have here, does it serve as a dry bag as well? Once again I would appreciate the make and model. Is it more practical than the yellow mountain equipment one you had on a previous clip? Thanks. JP.
No this backpack is an Osprey Aether AG 85 litre. I pack everything that needs to stay dry in their own dry bags. This setup is light and allows me to single carry my portages with ease.
I backpacked the " la Cloche Silhouette " trail this past summer and had to tackle the pig... its an absolute beast !! hard to show that grade of that in video!!
Be prepared for cold and wet weather. But the couple weeks after ice-out is a great time to get out on your first canoe trip of the season 👍. Usually Late April to mid May.

I have now subscribed and am very much looking forward to your continuing adventures... and I will definitely be doing a bit of binge watching to catch up. Beautifully filmed, edited and narrated. Oh, what a gorgeous part of the world you live in! A big hello from across the pond :)
Thank you Louise. Your comment brightened up my day 😊
Excellent content, videography and narration Kev.
First time on your channel. Will subscribe for sure. Your trekking and videography is high end. Very well done .......... thanks
Thanks Ron! I appreciate your sub 🍻
So happy I stumbled across your channel! This will blow up in no time
I'm glad you found me as well! Cheers
I appreciate it Joe. Thank you 🍻
As always, great adventure in the wilds of Algonquin, thanks for sharing.
I've been watching Justin Barbour for years. I love his adventures.
Oops, edit to my previous comment, you were in Killarney not Algonquin, I never had the privilege of visiting that park.
Yes that's right. It's a Park you must visit at least once IMO!
Thank you very much! And I'll keep an eye out for your Killarney video! Cheers!
Awesome trip! I posted a video of a trip we did to great mountain lake from early august. We came in from the north and stayed at the site to your right @11:22 after the portage. I'm definitely looking forward to doing more trips in the area!
Very cool! I’ll check it out!
Starting my outdoor journey late in life but starting it none the less! Loved the video! Subscribed. Thank you
It's never too late to get started! Enjoy the journey!
I'm so glad you enjoyed re-visiting the park with me 😊. Thank you so much for your kind words Becky.
Just a small piece of feedback, try to show us more of what you see, for example at one point when you were about to canoe away you said that the water was very clear and beautiful but then the camera cut to the pov of yourself, would be great to also see those small details, great vid overall tho :)
Thanks for the feedback!
Amazing. You make everything so good. Thanks for the jourey💯😄
Thanks Olav!
Six days of beautiful solitude in nature, so jealous. Thx for sharing Kev.
Glad you enjoyed coming along Dave.
Thanks for sharing this amazing adventure. Killarney is such a beautiful place particularly in the fall months. Congratulations on your new canoe. I bought the same red 14’ prospector this year as well and I am so happy with it. Really love your channel!
It really is! And congrats to you as well!
No moose sightings?!?! What!?! Thanks for another video!
😂 thank you!
Keep the vids coming Kev. I’m so glad you got that new canoe! I commented a couple years ago how I got one and it’s such a life changer. So light, just throw it on your car if you have a couple hours or more and it’s pure joy!
Yes I remember! Stay tuned I'll be uploading another canoe trip video this Sunday. Cheers!
I went with the Prospector as well, that deep red you picked looks so good with the fall landscape. Tough time of year to take your first dip, glad to see you carry on. Another Great trip Kev!
I'm really enjoying it so far! Love the green on yours as well. Cheers Jay!
Captivating. I am glued the entire hour. You are able to take us with you. Your narration in calm and your plot is simple and true. The scenery is so stunning and breathtaking especially the color of the trees. Very well done ! I will see you in your next adventure.
Thank you Marie! So glad you enjoyed 😊
Thank you as always Richard!
You might have mentioned the history that the Group of Seven had with the park - I was imagining their painting trips as you paddled along. Beautiful
Yeah it's no wonder they spent so much time in Killarney. There's a painting around every corner. Thanks for watching!
Great video! Great footage! Loved it!
So glad to hear that Mary! Thank you :)
Still need to get to this area I am only six hours away. Nice vid.
It's definitely worth the drive! Thank you!
Hello Kev ! We love your videos. Have you ever thought about using a drone ?
I love hearing that! Yes I've thought about getting a drone, but a lot of my favourite places to go canoe tripping don't allow them (all Ontario Parks).
Great video! Excellent editing. You travelled a long way, thanks for bringing us along.
Thank you Susan! Glad you enjoyed.
Thank you for the beautiful video😊 The nature is just amazing and so peaceful 🙌
Thanks for commenting. I'm glad you enjoyed!
definitely one of my favorite videos you've made so far! Great job ☺☺
Thank you ☺️
Excellent stuff. Being from Alabama, I'm so jealous of the incredible canoeing and kayaking waters (and fishing) that Canada has to offer. Cinematography, editing and music overlay was fantastic. Thanks for taking us along. Cheers!
Alabama!? Very cool! Glad you enjoyed the video!
On my very first visit to Canada 30+ years ago, we went canoeing in Killarney. Been living here for almost 25 years now and Killarney ist still one of my favourite spots on this planet
@burkhardkurfiss3015 mine too!
i enjoyed this video more than some outdoor videos of channels with 1.000.000+ subscribers. Just loved it.
Gonna subscribe and hope to see more of these on your channel!
Thank you for your sub and your kind words Mark. There will definitely be more to come.
I am in the midst of watching all your videos . I just found you recently and intend to get caught up. Awesome views & awsome trip. Love this cant wait to watch more.
Thank you Ella! But be forewarned that many of my earlier videos are quite rough. I was (and still am) learning how to best film and edit these trips.
Doesn't matter . I want to see them all, How else will I know how much you have learned and improved 😃
😄
Nice paddle Kevin. Some pretty amazing views . I mite have to do a bucket lit . Living on the West Coast we have come nice lakes but nothing like Canadian Wilderness has to offer. Sometime the rain is welcome when it that amazing. Around Bend Oregon out!!
The West Coast is a beautiful part of the world, but I hope you are able to come to Ontario for a wilderness trip at least once!
-Martin
I appreciate that Martin. Thank you.
500th lol. Nice adventure
Awesome lol. Thanks Jack! 👍🍻
Awesome trip, Kev. Thanks for sharing.
Glad you enjoyed coming along!
thank you for having us all along on another amazing beautiful trip. I love your videos :)
My pleasure Sofia. So glad to hear you enjoyed coming along with me :)
Great video! Your videography is excellent. Always look forward to your videos. Killarney is definitely on my bucket list now!
Thank you so much!
Great work!
@mattrogers5070 awesome! Thanks!
Great video thanks for sharing
Thanks Jay!
Superb camera work, way to capture the moment. Nice Zen kind of feeling to the video very relaxing.
I appreciate hearing that. Thank you!
awesome!!!
Killarney is far more beautiful than Algonquin. Loved this video. Just found your channel and subscribed
As much as I love Algonquin, I agree that the beauty of Killarney can't be matched. Thanks for the sub!
Stunning video. Cheers!
Thanks James!
So glad you enjoyed it!
Great video, where can I find maps like that? Thanks
Thanks Jim! The map I was using is a new map that you can find on the Friends of Killarney website. Much better than the other map I have from a company I won’t name. This one indicates the distances between points.
@@kevinthewild thanks, I won't forget to subscribe, cheers.
@jimshomecomforts8505 thanks!
Nice video but a little advice from a fellow paddler, wear a PFD!
I also have an Osprey pack, it's what I bring always as well.@@kevinthewild
I still can't believe how solid mine has been. I've been abusing it for years, fully loaded. Not a single issue.
Great video.
Thanks Larry! Much appreciated! I’ve really enjoyed your videos over the years!
What an amazing trip! Fully enjoyed it. Great filming, editing as well.
Thank you Henrik!
This Video was stunning!
Thank you so much! 😊
Your one tough guy!!
Great. Incredible.
Thank you.
Nice quality content man. Shame you only have 2.6K subs. Very picky canoe community I take it. I subbed.
Thank you! Much appreciated!
I also did pick up the Opinel filet knife 👍
you're the man. thank you
Thank you Gerry
Your gear is second to none. The backpack that you have here, does it serve as a dry bag as well? Once again I would appreciate the make and model. Is it more practical than the yellow mountain equipment one you had on a previous clip? Thanks. JP.
No this backpack is an Osprey Aether AG 85 litre. I pack everything that needs to stay dry in their own dry bags. This setup is light and allows me to single carry my portages with ease.
realy nice video bro
Thank you!
I backpacked the " la Cloche Silhouette " trail this past summer and had to tackle the pig... its an absolute beast !! hard to show that grade of that in video!!
It's definitely deserving of its name!
Stunning views
Thank you!
Bravo …trajet vraiment pas facile a faire en octobre et avec seulement un pac sac …wow respect.
Merci beaucoup!
Quite the viewing pleasure as always. Unbelievably gorgeous scenery.
Btw, Coffee Crisp should sponsor you by now 😂
Thanks!!
And I'll work on getting that Coffee Crisp sponsorship 😂
One of the best videos I've ever viewed. New subscriber.
Im glad you enjoyed! Thank you Nicholas!
Great video and a well planned trip!
Thanks again!
Beautiful Swift canoe Kev!
Thank you!
Is this filmed in Northern Ont. ? where r u ?
This trip was in Killarney Provincial Park.
watching this brings me inner peace
That's one of the greatest compliments you can give me. Thank you for commenting.
Btw, where did you get your map?
It's a new map that I purchased at the park, but it's available for order on the Friends of Killarney website.
@@kevinthewild Thank for the info. What's your feedback on spring canoeing or when do you start the adventures?
Be prepared for cold and wet weather. But the couple weeks after ice-out is a great time to get out on your first canoe trip of the season 👍. Usually Late April to mid May.
@@kevinthewild thank you. Your videos make me want to start now so keep doing the hard in providing them. All the best and see you on the lake!
See you out there Alain! Cheers 🍻
What map is that where can you get one
You can order one from the Friends of Killarney Website. It’s their new map.
beautiful trip!
Thanks Matt!
How much this canoe ?
With the options I selected it was $5,295.00 CAD plus taxes.
you don't fish ?
I’ll be bringing a rod on my future trips
Nice canoe Kev!
Thanks!
