@LeahSelman thank you!!! This journal was something I've been dreaming up for a couple years. I'm so thankful that digitals have gotten to where they are now, allowing me to make stuff like this.
Girl, your journals are amazing! Love all of them. It would be hard to even choose just one. I'm trying to make a few journals for myself & gifts. It's kinda alot of work! But it is so very fun, I'm so messy! 😂
This is absolutely beautiful! Have you thought of doing a process video? I’d love to make a journal that large but not sure how to put the pages together. 😂 I’d love to see how you do it.
@fyreheart2679 thank you! Unfortunately I just don't have time for tutorials right now. But I can explain the process. It's so simple. I just use a strip of paper and glue 2 papers to the strip and fold. The strip of paper becomes the part that gets sewn into the signature.
Beautiful work! I love that you sew in the proper amount of pages per signature and don't over pack them. Excellent bookbinder! Would you mind sharing the name of the book of the beautiful pages of trees?
Enjoyed watching. You could place some pine in a sachet, and store it with your journal. The green throughout was so lovely~ my favorite color. Best wishes~ Valerie.
Or stuff some pine between the two layers of the cover. Or infuse pine into olive oil..then strain and use the oil on some fabric or whatever. I did that with pine tips and then lavender flowers (infused oil) and it was heaven.
The imagery is so strong I can almost smell myself immersed in a wet mossy forest. Such a dream. Where do you get the green fabric you used on the back cover? Do you make it?
@hollychequis194 thank you! I cut 1 inch strips of paper and glue the edges of the 2 pages to that strip. The strip is the part that will get folded and sewn into the signature.
@@passionsofpaperdo you mind sharing the printer you have for your digitals? No matter what I try I can’t get prints like this. It’s absolutely stunning
@savanahevans9551 Thank you! I don't quite remember now, but it was around 3-4 weeks. And that's with me working 10-ish hour days, 7 days a week, as this is my home business.
Great journal. I'm inspired to make a dragon journal. May I ask what type of printer that you have? What type of paper do you use for printing? My printer is going out and I need to purchase another one. Your prints look very crisp and clean. Mine look a little faded so I'm looking for a step up. Thank You. I've looked at some of your other journals and they all seem very beautiful.
@@passionsofpaper Thank you for replying! I have been looking at the Epson 4850. You have made up my mind. I know that paper makes a big difference also. I've been trying to find the right one. Thanks again.
@machelleogle1680 it's a great little printer, but make sure you get insurance with it if the store offers it. I've already used my insurance and got a new printer for free when mine started having problems at 2 years. Granted, I have printed thousands of pages. Wow, this absolutely stunning. Where do you buy your lovely big leaves from?
@paulineglenn1407 Thank you! I have bought leaves from Hobby Lobby, Joanns and Amazon
If you want your digital art journal to smell, you could put it in a paper bag with a pine fresh car air freshener.
@@sabrinaoilworks I've thought about that, but I really don't like the smell of pine. I wish I could find one that smells like a forest.
Just WOW!
