I just cant help but think, since he's narrating, that he survives.
For those wondering, Jezza did get in the sled on one of the runs but the one you see on tape is with him at the back on his phone when they take off. He narrated his experience and they dubbed it over another run for some reason.
There can't be two Jezzas at once.
My dad was the bobsled and he told me that Jezza was indeed on one of the runs.
primeribeye LIES
He did one of the runs. Odd that they would show this shot.
primeribeye He WAS the bobsled? Wow, I didn't know humans had the capability to transform themselves into objects like that.
03:27 so Jeremy was replaced with the Stig? sliding down with his bobsleigher cousins
Clarkson hidding with his telephon behind 03:27
+Rey Mikael (MikaR.) It actually is
+Rey Mikael (MikaR.) he looks like he's trying to hide from the camera.
+Rey Mikael (MikaR.) You can see the 3rd row rider is actually shorter than Jeremy is in the final shot. Nice spotting.
My dad was the driver, they actually did have Jeremy on the track... The just have to do loads of takes of the bobsleigh, shit editing really lol
Elliott Hinton
Title should be "Jeremy Clarkson with telephone watch ride of British Army bobsleigh team"
They took many shots one with Jeremy and many without Jeremy it was one of them
"I've been driving in my sled, without Jeremy Clarkson"
I have done the Whistler track. With a Canadian expert driver and have to say it was one of the best experiences of speed i have had. I wanted to go again right there and then. If I could bob sled to work every day I'd be sooooo happy.
how could they leave that in there. 3:27
+Kellen Burns I imagine they recorded 2 runs, one was a practice, without Jeremy, and one with, but maybe the one with him in it only got the audio, just my guess.
+CockatooDude you're right, my dad was the driver of the bobsleigh and they had to do a lot of takes and camera angles
Elliott Hinton no he wasn’t, fuck off with your lying
@@elliotthinton2120 yeah right
@@scalychannel5897 They do share the same last name.
"Revolving door"...LMAO
When I was in the Police force, we did several things for various charities. One of them being parachuting. We trained with the Armed services at the Joint Services Parachute Centre at Netheravon probably 28 years ago. I enjoyed it so much, I returned a couple of weeks later to jump again. The Instructors were pleased to see me and after jumping again, put me on a parachute packing course, which was great. I continued jumping there for a while until meeting my fiancé (now wife), who wasn't interested in joining me, so I gave up. However, I wanted to do other things and tried to get a group together so that we could do the Cresta Run for charity. We never did, but I look back on that time with amazement that I didn't have the fear that I do now!
I really want to try that for some reason.
+Kristian Kumpula I rode a bobsled once, but it was on wheels in the summer in the 1980 winter oympicstrack, I think it got up to 60 mph, it's a lot of fun
I think I would be more okay doing this than luge or skeleton. Those guys (and gals) are just insane.
It will find you and take your family
haha.. I bet the BBC is happy with this! important phonecall there Jeremy?
3:27
Alex F What?
H M He probably realised he was in the shot of the cameraman
They do multiple shots and the one with him probably didn't look nice so they did it again
Jeremy didn't go down the bobsleigh. At 3:27 he's at the back on his phone. I don't blame him. He was very scared.
Two runs one practice without him
I imagine they had to take multiple take for this. Its not impossible, and Jeremy doesnt seem like the dude to skimp out on something like this. How dangerous can it be
Feel the rhythm
Feel the rhyme
Get on up
It's bobsled time!
Yes. Bobsleighs are really useful during wartime.
That American doctor guy was a condescending jerk.
+GODOFHELLFIRE3 I love Jeremy, but I wouldn't say he's the sweetest person alive, but I think this dude's analysis was either for the show or he had some vendetta against Jeremy. I wouldn't identify as a thrill-seeker, but I would have fun on a bobsled.
GODOFHELLFIRE3 Agreed, that doctor was a bit of an ass
you guys sound like idiots lol. You do realize he's doing a personality diagnosis and it's not always going to be compliments etc. Jeremy punched a producer for not having food on time. He is unstable
what else do you expect from an American?
But the doctor is right.
I rode a bobsleigh at lake placid in the summertime. It was on roller blade wheels. We only reached a top speed of 55-60 mph, but we set the fastest time that day. The driver was a professional but the rest of the crew was comprised of myself, my sister, and my father. The entire time my sister kept hitting her head against mine due the g-forces being stronger than her neck. This turned what was an otherwise enjoyable ride into a painful one, and left me with a headache at the end.
I did the Lake Placid Olympic Bobsled run. It was a super fast 45 seconds with no time to think, just time to quickly experience with no fear.. when it was over, I was ecstatic and much of nothing but WOW for the next 30 minutes. There is no time to think. This video is over emphasised for tv.
0:48
The driver try to remember everysingle hairpin
But clarkson try to give G expression
"It makes me pity people like my mother who get scared with a revolving door"
3:27 in two pleaces in one time, he has concerd the laws of quantum mechanics !!!
I’ve a sudden nostalgia for Cool Runnings
4:13 Never did I think this would help me learn about The Return Trip Effect (the Anticipation Account theory specifically) in my communications class in college.
That doctor said truth!! i also have same experience sometimes on a long curvy & very fast water slide
Sanka Coffie: "Feel the Rhythm! Feel the Rhyme! Get on up, it's bobsled time! Cool Runnings!"
I love how much they scare the shit out of him
3:27 - Jeremy on Phone
Man , Igls Austria . I used to practige luge and trust me , this track is amazing ❤ memories
Jeremy didn't go down the bobsleigh. At 3:27 he's at the back on his phone. I don't blame him. He was very scared.
I'd say he should try luge if he's not sufficiently scared. Go from the top in Calgary, it's easy enough. Either that or ladies start in Salt Lake.
Very few things can shut up Jeremy Clarkson
This was one of them
How have I not seen this before?
This reminds me of cool runnings
Bobsleighing! Wooo!
When was this aired? This is way too funny!
I've always found that when your "surprised" scared, you scream. Like in here, when you see what's coming you get quiet. at least its the same for me.
ROFFLMMFAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The look on Clarksons face at 5:19 is utterly priceless....
11 years... you still there?
jeremy got shaken and stirred to the core back there
coool running m8
2:16 Neil Armstrong???!
"I've been driving in my sled, without Jeremy Clarkson"
I've only seen the title and am typing this as the ad is playing. All I could think was Jeremy saying "What could possibly go wrong?"
After watching this video: I think Hammond should use this on him every time Jeremy brings up his accidents behind the wheel.
Jeremy: Can you think of anything worse than you behind the wheel?
Richard: We can try bobsledding!
Jeremy: ......On that bombshell, it's time to end.
The forbidden carnival ride
2:55 my PE teacher! oh yes
Its from his "Speed" documentary. Episode is "The thrill of speed"...
that guy who was commentating was really erm... a jerk? but honest? lol
Golden myth if he's honest then how is he a jerk. The truth can be harsh
He was being american, for better or for worse. We'll tend to be more directly blunt on average than other nations, and a lot of the time that is rude.
@@konakg8174 Complete opposite. Every English speaking country is almost as roundabout as they get. Blunt is the last word I would use. More than the Britts, less then you think
why do people call everyone a jerk who tells the truth? I think people who sugar coat things are jerks ... i don't want someone to tell me "it's safer than sleeping in your bed", when really it isn't. that guy is probably annoyed by all those people who think they can handle it and they think they are better than professionals, but when stuff gets rael .. they scream like little girls .. and that guy sounded like he was annoyed of those types and that's why he was being bit mean.
i think that's totally fine and people should act like that more.
@@konakg8174Americans are not even close to being the most direct people in the world. You clearly haven't been anywhere.
It's the 21st!
Lol god I'd love to try that. As a passenger of course. I'm not nearly enough of an athlete to think i could do the running start. But to just ride along? Any day, sign me up lol
i was propper scared once. i triggered an avelange whilst snowboarding and avoided it with less than a meter to spare.
He should try Whistler track in Canada LOL
I'd like to try this
4:43 colse your eyes and enjoy
What was the doctor for
To make sure he don't go nuts
Top Gear will have a bobsled team
To make the film, it took six runs, jeremy only did one of them. i no this becease my dad was the driver of the bobsleigh.
What track was it?
Cool
Weird how like 5 peoples dad was the driver
@@skrillah6259 That guy must really get around.
That seems fun
oh Jezza
Damn I’m whatching this on dec 23 2019 😳😳
thats cool, but i dont remember asking
blueking700 HATER JEW
@@burtsimmons9691 wtf
i have actually ridden down that track myself
Jakob 12 it looks like the one near innsbruck, I recognize the mountains, I live here. Is it true!??
Neville Wood

someone can tell me what is the music at the end please ?
Oh dear, i'll be going on it on thursday. that's gonna be interesting
How was it!
Bro, where’s the reply?
Lmao looks like Clarkson was doing interpretive dance in the beginning
Jeremy Clarkson is cool!!!
hahaha yeah man...
Well, his pants were still dry when he got out of the sled, so he did alright for himself.
Happy 12 year anniversary
which track is this ?
that would be fucking awesome
Who misses the old Top Gear? BBC really messed up letting the trio off...
I don't. I can only stand the clips. Watching a whole episode was like watching grass grow.
What season was this
Who here thinks the guy commentating has actually been on a bobsled ever?
Not Me!
Was this the Halloween episode?
@Ezhuks he convinced his mother to take a ride in a russian mountain xD
Jeremy?
Yeah?
yah dead?
no mon!
After 20+ years of top Gear I wonder: there's something Jeremey hasn't ride??? 😅😂😂👏👏👌
lol at the beginning; he severed his neck and it was hanging on by a thread
Drew Peacock you are the last comment!!!
The doctor should just shut up
He probably really wanted to go to the pub after that
Jon Thomas He didn’t go on it look at him at 3:27
the fear mongering throughout is cringeworthy
I mean..none of the "fearmongering" was particularly that exaggerated it is a genuinely lethal sport
@@mitchellhogg4627 It's actually relatively safe, like compared to luge, because you have a sled protecting you. Like they said in the video, the most common thing that happens when you crash is burned skin the shoulders or concussions. The death risk has been mostly eliminated thanks to many safety improvements, similar to Formula 1 in recent years
@3:26 you see jezza at the top of the hill as the bobsleigh leaves
Huh, so u can
When you come out of something like that alive, it's exhilarating, though!
It IS Christmas though...
@MrNonzerogrunt i know.....hes a happily married man now serving as an officer in the british army
He sounds like hes having a nice time there 😏
why does the British Army have a bobsled team?
useful in Afghanistan
We dont
In case we go to war with Norway.
why they shouldnt ?
Nuff people, dem nuh wan to believe
British army ave a bobsled team!
xD poor jeremy
"Oops! It's not Christmas!" wow
Why is this in my recommendation? I don't dislike it though
cool
I just wanna know why the British Army has a bobsled team.
Maybe theres a scenario where an entire German regiment is marching up a bobsled ramp and the British army only has one bobsled, a bunch of swords and tape. Dont underestimate 4 dudes in a sliding bullet.
@@glennmatthews758 That could actually work...
@@matthewlebo1841 unless the Germans got their hands on some of the top gear disaster tapes lol
blueberrypie
he just took her for a ride on a rollorcoaster
What exactly happened between him and his mother ?
Talk about getting a taste of your own medicine!
@ZhoZhaal speed
Wait. How do they steer again?
Striker I really don’t know lol
They really don't. They just swivel the front skis enough to not crash into the sides. So more like adjustments instead of real steering
top gear when it was best!
This isn't from Top Gear. If you had read the title of the video, you'd know it's from a Programme called Speed.
@@caitthenerd7470 the title of the video says top gear 😆
That's really bad. You'd have thought there would have been a big scandal about this.
Did he have a lucky egg?
Note to self don’t watch with your eyes closed
In other words; he likes to dish it out but can't take it, or, he's full of shit most of the time. Either way, ya gotta love him.
