I recommend checking the pronunciation of these more esoteric words with several dictionaries . Remember the pronunciation listed first is usually the pronunciation used by most educated speakers. There are times when two competing pronunciations are equally acceptable by educated speakers. For instance "uncomfortable" , Caribbean, Amenable, Apricot, Appalachian ,Bouquet. and many more. American education has been dumbed down so much however, that very few people care about pronunciation, spelling or Grammar. Today when it comes to linguistic practices, as the Cole Porter song says: Anything Goes. Good luck with your endeavor.
