Hey you two. I've been to Punta Arenas! Flew in from Mount Pleasant Airbase on the Falkland Islands. We didn't really leave the airport as the Lan Chile flight was just refuelling, but I bought a tiny wooden Penguin with 'Punta Arenas' engraved on it. Then I flew on to Santiago + Valparaiso! Enjoy Chile - lovely place and lovely people x
We were in Punta Arenas the month after you (January 2020), and it was so cold! The cemetery was outstanding, similar to Recoleta, and the replica ship museum was fun, but the main reason we drove there from TdP was to visit the penguins on Isla Magdalena. Unfortunately, our boat ride was cancelled due to the wind! Found an outstanding restaurant in the Croatian (who knew?) district, however, La Marmita, featuring local ingredients cooked in a French style. An interesting city, if a bit hardscrabble.
Hola chiquillos!! Gracias por mostrar mi país Estoy conociendo gran parte de chile gracias a sus videos…también parte de América del Sur …(Argentina ,Uruguay, Peru..etc)…saludos desde Alberta 🇨🇦!!! Excelente trabajo !!

I continue to enjoy your December 2019 Patagonia tour! Glad you gave Chile some time & effort! By the way, your Toronto Koreatown brunch tour was nice but you missed the KBBQ chicken!
Glad you visited the Necropolis - and yes, the winds in Puntas Arenas are absolutely insane! I was there in winter and I thought the windows in my hostel were going to blow out on one of my nights there!
You guys are so good at what you do. Samuel, that steak is to die for. My last meal would be that. The vistas are so beautifully vlogged. It's on my bucket list.
Very good. When we took a cruise in 2009 my doctor told me don’t eat any food off the ship. You seem fine eating there. Maybe the wine sterilizes the food. Lol. Love you two
Thanks Steven! We love food so restaurant hopping and trying new dishes is half the fun for us! We try to eat at restaurants that look busy (food has to be fresh), we also check reviews, and order what's local. A glass of wine can't hurt either! 🍷😉
HI GUYS !!!!! wow, like you know, guys...this is like you know super super great and who knows what Chorizo really is...who cares? THANKS GUYS !!! (we are such amateurs)
Hello hello Great adventures Lovely scenery I've watched some lovely videos from your trips lately and can't help but wonder: how caught-up are you in terms of editing videos to upload? In a recent video you were mentioning that staying at home more made you more productive Are you close to reaching the end of the entire collection of raw footage if you were to stop travelling for a while? On a final note: must feel nostalgic watching back all those trips you took like revisiting memories, people and places Hope your plans to do new things (like the hotel business, as mentioned in an earlier video) will come to fruition I wish you both and your families well and the best of luck Stay positive, stay strong
Great videos guys, I'm going end July this year is it seriously cold that time in santiago? And limited Spanish any tips? I'll head to patagonia as well
Yes, it will be the middle of winter. Just check the weather ahead of time, pack accordingly, and you'll still be able to enjoy! Santiago won't be as cold as Punta Arenas in this video (although this was summer).
Beautiful! When were you there? It doesn't look like the dead of winter which July is there. Plus, aren't Chile and Argentina closed to tourists? Thanks from San Francisco.
Great video. I don't know how you both aren't a couple of blimps. I missed the Nao Victoria when I was there but I caught the one in San Julian on the way back north from Ushuaia on my little 125 before getting stuck at Puerto Madryn in the Covid snare. I'm still there now after 16 months. At first, I was glad I was in Argentina as it's a bit cheaper but the trade-off was the greater restriction of travel. I would have opted for more freedom in hindsight. Roll on Summer...
Oh, man, that's a long time to be stuck in one place! Are you still in Chubut or is interprovincial travel open now so that you can see other parts of the country?
@@samuelandaudrey Still here in Puerto Madryn waiting for the weather to warm up a bit and then check the travel restrictions. We'll see... I checked out the Nautico restaurant here featured on your video. Looks a bit posh for me :)
I love your videos because you give me great ideas on where my wife and I should travel in retirement. The only problem is that ends up being "everywhere that Sam and Audrey have gone."
50-75 US dollars for organic grass fed beef and wine is still a steal, whether you consider it pricey or not. I just spent $100 on barbecue for two people with three cocktails and tip. Now that’s pricey! 😂
Every Canadian should be required to attend “OU School” in the US (at their expense) where they will be taught the proper pronunciation of the letters OU together.
Pandemic got a very heavy toll on museums.. restricted days for visit, restricted number of people by day... which is weird considering the mall is open. but anyway, if you ever como again Ill let you know some tips ;)
Very interesting and well presented facts. Food was mouth watering. I wonder sometimes how your stomachs stick it and how you don’t put on weight. I’ve come to the conclusion at your age it doesn’t make that much difference. When you get a bit older like me you tend to put on weight a lot easier. Enjoyed your facts and figures on Chile. Very informative. Would it be fair to say Chile a bit more expensive than Argentina. ? If ever we get our freedoms back I would very much like to visit Argentina big time and also include Chile and Uruguay. At the minute in UK we are still practically in imprisoned in our own area. Not looking likely for a long time. Sadly as the years go on I wonder will I ever get to travel again. Enjoy your travels when you can. When you are young and fit and able to do so. Great video. Thanks.
Thanks Foster! If it weren't for walking a lot I think we'd be in trouble weight wise...haha Audrey is better at portion control than I am. Hope you'll get a chance to travel again soon.
What an incredible and cinematic city. Really lovely vl9g guys😍😍
Thanks for watching, Banshan! Glad you enjoyed it.
Ships are amazing, always leave me fascinated😘😍
The ships were the highlight for us! It was so cool seeing life-sized replicas of historic vessels. 😊
Oh guys yummy yummy😋😋 so, so delicious food there! Very cozy places to have a food.
Ah thanks!
Amazing !!! 👏👏👏👏
The cementery is INCREDIBLE !!!
Thank you for this tour! Beautiful footage. The ships amazing. Can't imagine how they did it back then... especially in rough weather!
Best video my friends…I was born in Arica…eager to to take trip to Punta Arenas… and I will. Thanks

what time does the sun rise and set at that time how many hours of daylight do you remember ?
Did you know there are more Croatians in Chilean Patagonia than in Croatia? Croatian immigration to Chile started on the 1800s
Wow This place is wonderful. The cemetery reminds me of how you visit the ones in New Orleans. The food looked awesome!!! Thanks for taking us along.
Thanks for watching, Rose! Glad you enjoyed the video. 😊
And again another great video as always ❤
Thank you, Bianca! We're glad you're enjoying the videos from Chile. 😊🇨🇱

Thanks to your recommendation just had dinner at La Luna. Fantastic! We didn’t eat quite as much as Samuel but still had a great meal! 😅

The seafood dishes looked amazing!
They sure were! We still dream of the King crab - one of the best dishes we've ever tried.
Kickass thumbnail. Crab casserole 🥘 🤤
Thanks Maria! I felt a bit like a pirate aboard the ship! 🤪
as tourists, we always like to know what the locals are ordering lol, and always comparing 🙂 which is cool!

If you mean the crazy strong winds that have been known to blow cars off the highway. Then yes, yes it's true.
If it's true, is it still a cliché?
