Hürrem gets attacked on while she is on her way back to the palace at night and Malkoçoğlu saves her. Hürrem manages to run deep into the forest from the crime scene but one of the attackers follows her. While Malkoçoğlu fights with the attackers, another person keeps Hürrem's life in his hands. It's just a matter of time that the attacker will catch Hürrem. Meanwhile, Malkoçoğlu gets rid of the attackers one by one. However, Hürrem and the murderer following her has already gone far away. The message that Hürrem has got attacked gets to the palace right away. Sultan Suleiman goes to the forrest which the incident happened right away. Everyone uses their means to be able to find Hürrem. The people who carried out the attack gets caught in an impossible-to-escape situation. İbrahim Pasha gets worried that it will be revealed that he has a something to do with the attack. He himself attends the interrogation of the murderers. Soon, the truth will be revealed.
The preparations for the princes's circumcision feast gets started. Everyone in the palace is in hurry to get prepared for the majestic feast.
In the mean time, the Sultana feels worried. She is afraid that Suleiman will change his attitude after what happened to Hürrem. Suleiman is about to make a decision that will shock the whole palace. From now on, nothing will be the same.
At the age of 26, when he ascended to the throne, Sultan Suleiman aimed to build an empire more powerful than Alexander the Great and to render the Ottomans invincible. Throughout his 46-year reign, he became the greatest warrior and ruler of both East and West.
The young Suleiman received news of his succession to the throne during a hunting party in 1520. Unaware that he would be ruling a reign beyond his dreams, he left behind his wife son and took to the road with his close friend and companion Pargali Ibrahim to reach the Topkapi Palace in Istanbul. As they started their journey overland, an Ottoman ship set sail from Crimea in the Black Sea, bringing female slaves as gifts for the Ottoman palace… On this ship was Alexandra La Rossa, the daughter of a Ukrainian Orthodox minister, taken away from her family and sold to the Crimean palace. She had no idea that she would become Hurrem, wife of Sultan Suleiman and mother of princes, ruling the empire with him through bloodshed and intrigue.
As Sultan Suleiman conquered the world, his great passion for Hurrem would clash with his love for and trust in his closest friend and advisor, Grand Vizier Pargali Ibrahim, all set against the backdrop of the tension between Christian Europe and the Ottoman Empire in the 16th century.

Remembering that Mehmet and Mihrimah were probably the closest of all the siblings - they were the first two from Hurrem, therefore her two eldest - it explains why Mihrimah is so broken when Mehmet dies while waiting outside his door. This hug is too adorable and sad.

Hatice and Mahi were more less the same. For starters they both cried and whined everytime anything was wrong and alwayed blamed Hürrem for all their woes when they were the ones attacking her all the time! Secondly they were both spineless woman always having others to take care of all their problems still complaining day and night. For all their privilege they were unworthy and undignified Mahi kept picking fights with Hürrem,poisoned her when she was favoured by Suleiman and Hatice hated Hürrem for exposing Ibrahim's affair. In short,everyone hated the fact that Hürrem was a strong,intelligent and fabulous woman and Suleiman loved her and she was the only one to love him truly as well others were never loyal to him most of them were greedy and evil !

The connection that Hurrem and Suleiman had, it was so very foreign to everyone around Suleiman generally and especially during the search for Hurrem scene when Suleiman was kind of listening to the elements around him trying to find his beloved. I looked at Bali Bey and Pargali and they couldn't get it. No one could because such an infatuation was not normal at all especially for a Sultan.

This conflicted look on Hurrem's face when she's talking with Hatice... They really saw each other as friend. I might be wrong cause it's been a while since I watched the whole thing...But I don't remember Hatice talking so openly to anyone as she does to Hurrem. It's such a shame when you remember how they ended

Hurrem was a good friend to Hatice... However, Hatice never saw Hurrem as anything but a slave, she enjoyed her company and the conversations they had alone but when Hatice's with the other Sultanas she looks down on Hurrem as well. She knows of the things happening and the harm Valide and Mahidevran wants to cause her and says nothing. She doesn't even try to stop them or say nice things about Hurrem to bring everyone together.
