Thank you for making this tutorial. I was wondering what the "L" shaped piece that came with it was for. Now I know it is for making multiple cuts of the same size.
Thanks for the tutorial. I recently purchased my first mitre cutting vise and was reluctant because it seemed a bit expensive (relatively for me), but I have to say I wish I would have gotten one much sooner and it is a brilliant little tool. I have one problem that perhaps you can give me tips on - when filing a small piece of metal sheet, I line it up with the square, but find that it shifts when I am tightening it up again. I must be doing something wrong, but I'm a beginner and just figuring all this cool stuff out.
Hi Amanda - Thanks for asking. It definitely takes practice with the tool, but it helps if you mount the jig in a bench vice so both hands are free while manipulating and aligning the piece. Hope you find this helpful!
