It's really crazy how this had been my first ever watched anime when i was like 12 and from there i started reading manga reading books watching all kinds of different shows and movies and it all started with Tokyo Ghoul. This manga was so good I just finished it and don’t know what else to watch/read. Nothing feels the same as reading Tokyo ghoul I need amazing art, characters, and story 😭
just finished reading tomodachi game and while not same in concept (think i guess more like squid game) it is one of the only other series to give me the goosebumps that tokyo ghoul gave

@@vivekraj1701 The manga and anime of Tokyo ghoul is like heaven and earth. The animators skipped too much. 1st and 2nd season is good but they destroyed the anime in 3rd season *sigh*.
If I was the creative director on a Tokyo Ghoul re:make I would respect Sui Ishida by keeping his picks for OST, and lets be honest Yutaka Yamada's work is also perfect so we'll probably just keep the entire OST. Adapt the manga faithfully story wise (please can we get a monologue in the beginning with Kaneki likening his life to Kafka's Metamorphosis because that is such an important part of his character development with how he interprets that story). I'd like it to go more arthouse, have some more experimental scenes where (maybe for dream sequences or impactful introspective scenes) we have more of a manga style (and/or with the color pallet of Sui Ishida's illustrations, they're so beautiful) or B&W (like in the video). I appreciate Root A for having the end credits showcase some of Ishida's work while playing a beautiful Amazarashi song chosen by him as well. I loved the anime but it can be better.
I have a big problem about Furuta, as an antagonist he is miserably written for me but as a character he is fantastically written where he matches Arima. Ishida in my opinion led the ending badly and I did not have the satisfaction of it as the first one but the conclusion Ken Kaneki, Furuta's understanding I loved but there are a lot of flaws as to the end of characters like Eto himself or Kuzen who disappeared from nowhere

Jujutsu Kaisen is top anime now then yeah if Tokyo Ghoul would have been à great adaptation like Jujutsu then all anime and budget would explode so far. The anime is really abd this is why it isn't top 1 in popularity but with great adaptation. I won't be suprise to see Tokyo Ghoul surpasing all anime with only 1 season lmao. AOT, JJK could do that why not Tokyo Ghoul

I can’t feel sorry for him after everything he did. He couldn’t handle the fact that he wasn’t going to live a long, happy life so he decided to “ruin everything” as per his own words. He’s an interesting villain, but not even remotely sympathetic. Even Rize didn’t like him, and she literally thanked Kaneki for ending the suffering Furuta put her through as Kaneki was killing her.
Tokyo ghoul definitely deserves a remake.
