Sleek and sporty. Ahead of it's time. Purchased a 2012, two weeks ago and love it. Perfect size for comfort and safety, filled with airbags and slick features. The interior is almost as nice as my Lexus and looks brand new. Build quality and performance is truly superb. I've owned 60+ cars in my life, most brands, and learned if Toyota doesn't build it I won't buy it.

Really like my 2011 Venza. However, we bought it used with 80,000 miles, and the previous owner never did the rear differential fluid maintenance. Guess what just completely blew out 4,000 miles later? $5,000 later, we have a new differential. What I found out is that these Siennas and Venzas with the AWD V6 absolutely need to have the differentials serviced every 20,000 miles. It's a known issue with Toyota. And there's no way to know if it's going bad until it does, because there's no module sending info to the computer. It's completely dependent on adhering to the routine maintenance.

To me the side profile resembles a shortened Dodge Magnum, and I like that actually. As for it being weird, I own a Scion Xb and love it, so I'm down with weird. I rarely have a passenger with me so I tend to own smaller cars (plus they're easy to maneuver, cheaper on tires and parts, cheaper on gas, fit in my garage etc.). However, if I decided to get something bigger I'd seriously consider a used Venza. I know this review is a couple of years old but I just wanted to say that you and Alex on Autos are my favorite car reviewers. Keep up the great work!

It's one of the best Toyota models ever made. It does have plenty of power for the size. I had it for a year or so and didn't have a single issue with 100k miles on the odo. The interior looked very good, it's huge and the leather is unbreakable. The fuel economy wasn't bad at all for the size and I was heavy on the gas pedal. We are moving back to Canada soon and It will be my first car before the new EV VW "transporter" comes out.

Get the V6 and not the 4 as the power gain beats the mildly better fuel economy.
I personally call it the “Van-za” as that’s how it feels to drive.
Great if you have aging parents for them to get in to as well as it’s like the perfect height that they can slide in rather than climb up or fall down into the seat.

    • @hempster24
      @hempster24 10 месяцев назад +1

@bjperez9076 the seats are very comfortable. The noise for me isn't too bad. Not the quietest but not nearly as bad as other vehicles. It's very roomy and I feel it holds up well with current SUV's
      Negatives...
I have noticed the tendency for it to pull to the right slightly, and apparently that's a common thing with these vehicles.
Also, the tire pressure sensor continues to light up and has yet to turn off. All of my tire pressure is fine as I continue to check. That is also another common issue.
In my opinion, they're minor inconveniences for an overall great vehicle for the short amount of time I've been driving it.
I took it to a local mechanic and he said he absolutely loves these vehicles for their reliability and ease to work on, and isn't sure why more people haven't bought them.

I saw my favorite bunny rabbit a block away today I'm super happy! I had to let him go because one of my other ones was fighting with him, it wasn't good at all, and the main reason I took him in the first place, was because it was freezing over the winter. I'm in a fantastic neighbourhood for wild rabbits to graze freely, and I'm extremely grateful he seemed so happy and showed me every reason not to worry! I still miss him a lot communicating with him was like communicating with my first dog.
It's kind of hilarious in a sad way or sad in a hilarious way that people would get so defensive over the interior of a Dodge charger. To my mind a vehicle like that it's not known for function and build quality, it is known for having a stubborn and powerful engine. Someone who was close to me bought a 1995 Chevy Blazer 13 years ago and it paints the same picture, there was a handful of assorted problems when it was purchased, and then within a year twice as many more problems started popping up. But I'll never forget the angry sound the engine made every time it started up, and it's still going down the road today.
Now to be on topic, Venza is kind of easy to forget about, but I noticed the one thing it seems to have in common the most with the brand new one, is that people keep complaining about various little things regarding the interior like cheesiness or functionality, but the one thing I thought was really funny and weird with it was how big the wheels are for the size of vehicle that it is (Not like that's an uncommon trend though). I always found it seemingly pragmatic but when it occurred to me that bigger vehicles with small wheels like minivans tend to have a lot of wear on the brakes I suddenly became a lot more curious especially when I realized these older models are not that popular.
I'm really pleased to find out here that these have quality through and through to stand the test of time like other Toyota's built with attention to detail.

I wanted a highlander of similar year but they were just too pricey. I’m 6’ tall and the interior makes me feel small. It drives great even at 126,000 miles now. I did switch out the 20” wheels for 2024 18” Highlander wheels. The 20” tires are too expensive. With the 18” tire size I installed I have more sidewall and same hight but smoother and quieter ride. Okay, my turn... I bought my 2011 Toyota Venza, FWD, V6, on May 5, 2021 with the mileage posted on the purchasing date at 129,023. I gotta say, after 3 years, 2 months, and 18 days and a brand new set of Pirelli Scorpion AS Plus 3's... I have never been happier. At 150,000 miles, this CUV looks and runs like it still only has about 80,000 miles on it !!! The car that I had before this one was a Camry... IMHO, this one's better !!! To be honest, this Venza is almost identical to the Lexus LX350, and is built on the same platform as the Camry. The Venza is a Camry on steroids, and I love it !!! The ONLY complaint that I had was the rear-view mirror... terrible. I solved this little problem by buying an Auto-Vox X2 Rear-View Mirror. The Auto-Vox X2 uses streaming media and WDR technology to provide you with no-delay rearview images, as well as more dynamic range and image detail while driving. IP 68 Waterproof and Super Night Vision Backup Camera uses AD technology. No matter day or night, rain or fog, it will provide you with clear images !!! I loved this review... thanks for posting this, Zack... you rock !!!

It honestly looks like a weird mashup of a Camry and Sienna. Strange like that one episode of Star Trek Voyager where the characters of Tuvok and Neelix were merged together in a transporter mishap. But the Venza does have a sporty stance to it and has potential.

Many mistakes on this! It’s an EXCELLENT car! Has recline back seats & dual climate, sunglasses holder
    Super comfy seats! Runs forever!
You’re review is very negative and not at all objective. Clean up your review skills. Not coming back you’re too personally opinionated

The tiny garage door area is for a smallish phone. My s20+ barely fits with a case. It plugs in through a spot you didn't quite show. Is that the XLE or Limited version? Mine AWD 2014. Just got it. I read all were available in AWD or FWD.

We. Bought a new one in 2010, it's awesome, now 400k km's later, zero issues. Love this car, I'm looking for another one now. Just got my friend to get one, he absolutely loves it too.

I have a 2009 Venza and I LOVE her. She has taken such good care of me and is still kickin’! She has 230+ thousand miles on her and she still looks good. In 2023, I had to have the AC worked on and she’s had the water pump replaced but, other than that, my girl is here for 2024 and ready for action. I’ve driven this car all over Texas and Louisiana and I love how great it car still rides. I’ve paid a lot more attention to her care over the last 4 years and I think it has helped with how well she’s held up.
Now, about the video, at minute mark 5:25 there is mention of the “tiny garage.” I could see how someone that didn’t use this car then wouldn’t know what it was. 😂 This is a docking station for OG iPhones. You know, the super small ones in comparison to today’s phones. The console below has a power outlet to use for usb port and the aux cable - they can be threaded below the docking station so you don’t see any cables. Your phone would sit upright and snug in that “garage” area. More about that area, below the cup holders, where the powder outlet for usb port and aux cables are, it’s so deep and spacious! A great space for storage and easy access while also being fairly incognito. The sliding leather top that partially covers one of the cup holders is a larger compartment that has a small removable shelf/compartment for more storage. I LOVE both storage areas. They are totally user friendly. The cup holders light up with a soft light as well and I appreciate that at night. Can’t say enough about this car. I’m going to be sad the day she decides to retire. Can’t wait to see how the 2025 Crown Signia does. I had plans to stick with the Venza but it looks like the crown will take some of her best features and expand. 🙌

I have a 2014. Best little secret out there. I have a 2.7L AWD, plenty get up, and gets 23 mpg in the city. Plenty room. I bought for 16k used and it has 89k miles on it. Never any issues. My other car is a 911S so when I want sport, I get it there

You shouldn’t be reviewing cars if you don’t know what you’re driving. Venza’s are all over the place. There is dual zone climate control. And it looks great.

I wasn’t a big fan of the look when I was younger. But I really do appreciate this vehicle as I’m getting into my 30s. Lol.
It’s looking quite beautiful, plus the interior and features is amazing for the time.
It’s got a beautiful wide looking stance which looks very cool. The new one is too darn narrow and tall looking it lost its wide stance.
