Hello Daggerwin, i'm a railway modeller and to protect the paintnwork i use a Matt Spray Varnish just a quick spray over the paint will protect it, probably a good idea to use it if its gonna be driving around
A good thing to do is add a dull coat to the paint so it will look good but not shinny and plastic. Love the video! Can't wait to see it finished and see the trailer you choose to go with it.

I think that you had to build all of the rc equipment yourself at first, but then people got lazy and hobby companys started to build rc equipment ready to run out of the box.☺️

If you want to not scratch the paint then apply a top coat of gloss matte or semi gloss
