    Great video... I make my tombstones the same way for the most part I do them all after my favorite horror movies. I make about 6 every year and as you can see with your video, each Tombstone can take me 8 to 10 hours to complete one

    I don't have a computer so I have to lay out individual stencils for everything on my Tombstone takes forever but it's something that I have to do when it comes out great I use a Dremel tool to carve out everything

    i find that sanding the foam before you etch into it helps the paint stick to it- it adheres better

    I always need two coats of dry lock I never add sand the sand and dry lock is enough if I use one coat you can see the pink shining through so two coats sometimes 2 1/2

    Really awesome. I don't have any garden nor house to get crazy with outdoor decorations, but I still enjoy watching videos like this. :)

    Very awesome videos & Tombstones!! In my opinion, I would not have tried the Lichen or Moss (at least smaller amounts of moss). They still turned out AWESOME !!

    This is really great!!! I can't say enough good things about this video. I've been making Halloween stuff for Haunted houses and Yard Haunts for years and this is really informative and has lots of different techniques , very easy to follow along. Thanks 👻🎃

    Another great video!! I love how it was a family affair - had a tombstone painting party w/the family! This is exactly what I was looking for. I made a couple tombstone but the coloring & aging effect was missing. I can't wait to try your painting methods out. Thanks again!

    Awesome videoS !!!
    Those came out absolutely amazing!
    QUESTION….. in the last video you showed how to put your PVC piping in between and etc. BUT you don’t show in either video
    How do you put STEAK them actually into the ground ?
    Thank you so much for all of the time that you put into both of these videos and all the helpful information 👍

    • @ImNotBoredImCreative
      @ImNotBoredImCreative  11 месяцев назад

      To stake them, I just hammer a rebar or wooden dowel into the ground. Then you can just slide the tombstone over it. The rebar goes in the PVC pipe.

    Awesome ideas. I make my own every year but am always last minute.
    How do you keep the paint from washing off in the rain? Do you seal the final product with clear coat of some kind?
    I also have used fleckstone spray or spray stone to create the texture. It’s expensive though as I go through about a can per tombstone.

    • @ImNotBoredImCreative
      @ImNotBoredImCreative  9 месяцев назад

      Thanks! The paint is waterproof so rain is not a problem and no need to seal - though we don’t get much rain usually in October. The drylock itself is actually a weatherproofer. The paint has never weathered in Tombstones I’ve had for more than 10 years.

    If I make this decoration for an indoor environment (party), can I use regular paint mixed with sand?

    • @ImNotBoredImCreative
      @ImNotBoredImCreative  Год назад +1

      I’m not sure what you consider regular paint, but you could use house paint or acrylic paint. They would bind well with sand. But tempera, gauche, and watercolor paints will not. Spray paint will dissolve the foam.

    I’m sure they’re not heavy but just curious approximately how much do you think they weigh?

    • @ImNotBoredImCreative
      @ImNotBoredImCreative  Год назад

      The biggest weighs just under a pound. Most weigh right around half a pound.

    • @MLadder23

    One question... Did you seal them from the weather?

    • @ImNotBoredImCreative
      @ImNotBoredImCreative  Год назад +1

      No I didn’t do anything extra. I live in California and we don’t get much weather this time of year. But the dry lock paint actually seals them so they don’t need additional sealing usually.
